Before doing anything thats mentioned below make sure you know what you're doing! if you don't know what you're doing i will consider you to search before posting (unless if i'm kind enough to guide you)

Nokia 3310 with a brick so you can gain root (Make sure to smash it as hard as you can to gain full root access!)

What doesn't work in 4.2.2 So don't try these and they're not different so theres basically no need to change them

Samsung Wallet (Known Issue even in 4.2.2) can't seem to open the app, keeps loading
Knox Untested but most likely won't work since it uses some key which is being "locked" when you use custom kernel see samsung post here:

Samsung KNOX uses systematic security checks to ensure that only valid kernels are used. First, in the hardware, the Primary Boot Loader verifies the integrity of the Secondary Boot Loader 1, by authenticating its signature using a PKI certificate. Similarly, the Secondary Boot Loader 1 verifies the integrity of the Secondary Boot Loader 2, and the Secondary Boot Loader 2 verifies the integrity of the Android Boot Loader. The Android Boot Loader loads only a Samsung-authorized kernel, which has a Samsung certificate as its Root-of-Trust.
All files are ripped from Note III if we install it correctly we might be able to use the Knox :good: if you're rooted and have old "container" it won't let you download it, these is a known issue if you're rooted! however if we install everything we might get it to work, i was able to get a "new" icon in the notification drawer but once reset to factory it wasn't there and i wasn't able to setup knox again (neither download it)

Thanks for the tip. I just learnt that its not working with a swipe up gesture and the note tw will have to be ported for that. So I guess I will wait while its ported with the swipe up gesture.

see post 2 i explained it crashes if you try to view a picture.
same goes with video player (yes it works on 4.2.x too but its a lib problem)

Just would like to share this app to easily enable a mod - MultiWindow Plus. Using it on Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) the 4-window don’t work. What ever I choose it work only in dockable mod no 4-window mod.

Could you give me a copy of your deodexed FlashBarService.apk, framework2.jar, services.jar and android.policy.jar. I'll try and see what is different.
Just curious, how do you open apps from multiwindow? Do you just click or just drag? Maybe try dragging to different corners.

Yes, I think it would work with both odex/deodex version as long as it is rooted. And NO, this app won't conflict with any of my other apps. In fact it complements them.
So are you on odex rom? Could you pass me a copy of your others.xml/feature.xml file and I'll have to check why you can't get pen manager to work. You could also try getting a deodex copy of FlashBarService.apk (choose the right version for your firmware) . Make a backup of the original FlashBarService.apk & FlashBarService.odex and make sure you delete both. Then copy over the deodex FlashBarService.apk and set its file permission to 644 and reboot.

yes it works on odex but all apps are deodexed so if you get FC you need to delete the odex

Not working on Gnabo rom. Please check your update_script sir. And I think those with odex rom wont work either because of wrong and missing parameters in update_ script. I've modified the update_ script of ver.2 and it works now on Gnabo_rom. I'll upload my modified one if someone is requesting for it and if LastStandingDroid give me permission to post it.By the way mate what rom are you using now?

Thanks for correcting me that it's working on odex roms. I thought it won't work cause in your update_script on ver.2 you mistakenly put the permissions folder inside the permissions folder so its system/etc/permissions/permissions.Then you deleted MusicLiveShare2.apk its suppose to be MusicLiveShare.odex I think and and there is no script for deleting the odex files in framework folder.I'm using deodexed so I didn't test it sorry.

Just write delete and point to the .odex file

yes I know . but missing 2 button(cut,don't show in landscape mode) ,play button and fast forward button.in portrait mode everything it's ok.

Yup the same on mine with Gnabo rom. Even equalizer is not working LSD is not responding if there is a fix.That's why went back to Tab 4 player.

In tab 4 player ,in file manager (es explorer ) when choose a mp3 to play with I have this message multimedia ui service layer interrupted ,but all other operating normally( player+ widgets)

I just tried Tab 4 player in root explorer picked an mp3 song everythings working fine. What rom are you in? Did you by any chance install the tab S player here and then return back to Tab 4 player?

This is an updated Samsung Calendar (SPlanner/SecCalender) app that Samsung never actually updated in our Note 8's stock 4.4.2! So they simply left ugly 4.1.2 SPlanner in our 4.4.2 upgrade..but no more. Here I am presenting both 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 newest SPlanner and SPlanner Widget (from Samsung official Tab 4 8inch 4.4.4 T337TUVU1BNI8 firmware)

Install Instruction
This is NOT flashable, do not try to attempt to flash it thru recovery!
Steps:
First, back up your current SPlanner*.apks, after you made backup, delete them - make sure there's no stock SPlanner files/apks.
Download Samsung SPlanner and SPlanner Widget for Note 8 package to your tablet and unzip it.
Copy both files comes with my package, and push it system\app folder and give it 644 (-rw-r--r--) permission to both files.
Reboot your tablet.
Go check it out and enjoy - much better than ugly stock one:silly:
Troubleshooting:
First of, make sure you don't have old ones still in system\app nor system\priv-app folder, when I said "old" ones, I meant stock SPlanner that comes with stock 4.4.2. For example; below ones listed are from stock 4.4.2 GT-N5110

SecCalendar_Tablet_SPen.odex
SPlannerAppWidget.apk
SPlannerAppWidget.odex
If you want to use this new ported SPlanner, then make sure old SPlanner stuffs (apk and odex)being deleted.
Point I am trying to make here is no old Splaner (seccalender) and splanner widget. Once you clean up, then push the ones come with my package to system\app folder, and permission on both file 644, and then before you reboot your tablet, go Settings --> Application Manager --> All, and find Samsung Calendar and Calendar widget, select Calendar, and do clear data and clear caches, and go back do the same for Calendar widget, and now reboot your tablet...
Usage:
If you want to use it in your own ROM, you only have to give proper credits, just as a way of courtesy:angel:, and you do not need ask for permission,
but it would be nice if you let me know (and a link back to this thread) if you are using it your own ROM and adding proper credits in your OP posting.

something is not right...on your second screenshot, why it is still showing old/stock SPlanner??
for me, it seems functional - see the screenshot...

Indeed, the second screenshot is the old/stock one, as a comparison between the two.
I'm talking about writing ON the calendar, not the keyboard...

yeah that one...yes...you are correct this one does not have....like you said non-note device. I am using this port one because since it is newer than what it come with stock one. You know more flat design..if you check Samsung's newest devices and if you look, they updated a lot of them to more inline with flat design/material design, but somehow when they upgraded Note 8 to 4.4.2, many apps left (design UI vise) untouched...so it almost feel like you are looking at old 4.2.1, but your tablet's about section says 4.4.2....that's why all these efforts (ported apps) to bring the new UI to our tablet.

The one from note 10.1 2014 edition (kitkat) suport hand writing ability.

Also the one from the Note 4 would as well. Both require TouchWiz 4.4.4 I believe... on that note, as I cant seem to decipher, is it possible to run TouchWiz 4.4.4 on Kitkat 4.4.2??

On my friend tablet (note 10.1 2014), he has Kitkat 4.4.2. , so it is compatible with our tablet.

Like the apk pulled from the ROM even works (atleast the new 6.0.1 version);
Anyway here's the source with the classes i modified in a different folder
And since you just jumped to conclusions, here's what i did to patch the app:
1) Pulled the original apk from the ROM and decompiled it with apktool (we'll call it decompiledAPK).
2) Pulled the app source from the original Github Trebuchet page and created a new Android Studio project.
3) Removed all cyanogenmod dependencies with android studio; (at this point the app had some API related bugs and glitches so i couldn't just build it from android studio).
4) Compiled the (Buggy) app i had created with Android Studio, than decompiled it again with apktool to obatin all the modified smali files (we'll call it decompiledMOD).
5) Pulled the Github source again and created Android Studio project again, but this time instead of correcting the errors related to CM dependencies i highlighted them.
6) I searched the same highlited methos inside the SMALIs of decompiledAPK and corrected them by copying there the equivalent methods from decompiledMOD.
7) Modded OverviewSettingsPanel.java to remove "Protected Apps" option, then modded the equivalent smali by repeating step 6 for this one.
8) Modded user_folder.xml to remove the lock icon overlay, wich was referring to a cyanogenmod feature (protected apps and folders)
9) Removed the cyanogenmod package as i had already cleared all dependencies.
10) Recompiled the newly-modified decompiledAPK, recreated the APK and signed it.

I only teated it on MarshMallow based roms, you could try, however i don't know if it lets you install it as an update for the Trebuchet system app.
You could also try the non-modified Trebuchet 6.0.1 since you are on a CyanogenMod ROM

Mmh, this confirms me it might not be compatibile with android 5.x, i'll eventually try removing API 23 dependencies but i'm busy these days

Note 5 tw 6.01 it's working fine.
Effects doesn't seem to included though. Is it deleted on the stock too ?

Yes, effects were actually removed by cyanogen in the new trebuchet version, as they changed page scroll to vertical scrolling.

Sorry, i removed that feature as it would make non-cyanogenmod devices crash, because it required CyanogenMod libraries to work.
There are however many apps and even an xposed module if i remember well which add that feature to your phone

im running full stock as of the moment. tired of rooting and flashing xposed. i hope it can be supported soon
