Hi Guys,
i am happy to annouce that the Xperia Z2 Tablet, recieves Unoffical CM11 weekly built's by The Free Xperia Project-Team, available on there Site www.fxpblog.co
I don't take any Credits, i just thought about posting the good News for everyone to see.
Things needed:
Root
Unlocked Bootloader
Recovery
Flashing Procedure for CWM:
1. Reboot to Recovery or at Start up press Volume-Up (CWM) till the Recovery shows up.
2. back a complete Backup of your actual Rom (optional)
3. go to Mounts and storage.
4. format: cache, system, data.
5. go in advanced in the Menu and wipe "Dalvik Cache"
6. Install zip from sdcard (Internal Storage) or sdcard1 (MicroSD)
7. Choose the downloaded zip-file named like example: "FXP327-CM11-20140706-UNOFFICAL-castor" and make sure you have the right build for your device. (there is castor, for LTE version and castor_windy for the Wifi Version) and install it
8. I recommend to use the Paranoid Android Google apps package also know as "PA-Gapps"
9. Install the Latest PA-Gapps for Kitkat reapeat Step 7 just with the PA-Gapps.
10. Reboot to System.
You should now have everthing installed and working.
For any Problems with the Installation or the ROM itself, Qoute me and i will try to help you

I'd assume because the LTE version has to support LTE antenna and software and schtuff.
It is still at least 64MB smaller than the pollux windy ROM-
which should be similar in size.
I have had no luck booting the kernel boot.img contained in the
castor_windy ROM zip file on a sgp51x.

This is a Problem in the cm Device tree e.g System ui is missing or settings apk
I wrote a pm to alex1911 how to fix it
After He add this it will work (I have build the Rom by myself some days ago and i fix it there)
Well, I did exactly as advertised, but my device is now in a bootloop. No idea what's gone wrong.
Very curious what's gone wrong here. No idea right now.

Ah so the ROM as uploaded currently is broken, and that's why my device (see post above) is in a bootloop.
Well, I feel stupid now.

Yeah my SGP512 will only get into bootloop if I flash the castor_windy. I felt stupid before as if I was doing something wrong, but now I know it's not user error :highfive:

Weird though, since I can't even get back into cwm - nor can I end the bootloop with the power button (I time holding volume-down to get into fastboot and end the bootloop like that).
EDIT: In fact, "fastboot devices" lists nothing when I do that. So, the way I have to end the bootloop is to connect it to my PC via USB, press volume-down when the devices powers down, and then I hear the device connected sound from Windows. If I then do nothing, the bootloop continues after a while. If I issue "fastboot devices", I get nothing. Yanking out the USB cable shuts the device down.
So strange.

EXACT same thing happened to me. I had to hold down the little red button under the big top flap, then hold up volume while plugging into my pc. I couldn't get into recovery either without flashing a stock ftf and reinstalling recovery. Flashtool is a life saver.

So you pressed/held the red button while in the loop, then pressed/held volume-up while pluggin it in?
I'm downloading Flashtool right now, so that should be a decent starting point. What is the stock ftf (ROM I imagine?)?

You don't need to Flash complete ftf in flashtool exculde all except Kernel (you don't need wipe Data)than Flash the Kernel and Boot into fastboot and Flash doomloards stock kernel
Did we mess up the windy tree? Can anybody point me to the problem an i'll push the fix asap.

I saw the bootloop as well.
I went back to doomlords rooted stock kernel with CWM.
Then reflashed one of my earlier stock ROM backups.
Out of habit one of the first things I do with new HW
is to take a few full backups from the recovery after
the device is rooted and has a custom recovery.
The unusual thing with the Sony devices is that the recovery
shares the kernel image - so you have to pay attention
to both the kernel version and the ROM version.

Make sure to hold the tiny red button at least until it buzzes 3 times. Make sure you're not plugged in while doing this. This basically just turns the tablet off. Then I hold up volume while plugging in to my computer. Just look around on the forums/google for any SGP511 or SGP512 ftf file.

I couldn't either. I had to hard power-off with tiny red button under the bigger top flap. Then hold up volume while plugging into my computer, then flash new ftf in flashtool, then re-install CWM.

Alright, thanks a million. I couldn't find a ftf specifically for the SGP512, but according to this comment a specific SGP511 ftf will work as well.
I'm guessing Flashtool is pretty self-explanatory (it looks pretty straightforward), but if not, I'll be back .
Thanks again!

Well, I must have done something wrong.
So, I got Flashtool to recognise the device exactly as you said. However, Flashtool didn't have an option for showing/opening ftf files, so I disconnected the device. I then Googled the exact procedure (and felt like an idiot), found it, and wanted to reconnect the device.
No luck. All I get now is a blue light when I press volume-up and connect it via USB. Flashtool recognises nothing. I also turned it back on into the bootloop, pressed the red button, and tried again - no luck. Any ideas?

Loaded this up last night.....not one issue to report. I happen to like touch wiz (as well as everything else) I hope you keep this ROM going in a stock like direction. Maybe if your plan is to change launchers etc you could branch off. Anyway....well done I love my phone!
sorry but have to ask. how did you get cwm on phone? I cant get download screen. figured it was the 2.3.6 UVLB7 build causing it. just got phone 5 days ago. had G2x piece before.
Can you give me more details in regards to your question? Have you lost the ability to get into recovery? I had the G2X as well....CWM is flashed pretty much the same way as the LG (except without the NVIDIA tool)
Things are not far enough along to have a reboot option in the ROMS yet, try power tool or something like it, works fine for me.

I wanted to amend this after ongoing usage and say things are still running solid. I did notice a lower quality audio performance as compared to dknight. Not a major concern this early in the game by any means.
The audio capabilities on Android was and is the big reason I am here and not on I-tunes so i'm particularly sensitive to that area. I run completely uncompressed FLAC's (1411 kb bit rate) and have a 64gb SD card on my phone loaded to the hilt.
My work phone is a GNEX (with Black Ice and Axiom Morphr) streaming through Google Play so I have back up ...lol

You must install ClockworkMod Recovery before flashing a ROM. I'm currently using this ROM. I can still access ClockworkMod Recovery by holding volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time, then release after Samsung logo disappears. Don't flash ClockworkMod Recovery in ROM Manager. See the thread below to know how to flash it.

I have done all this to my G2x piece of crap so it not new to me. On my new phone the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G SGH-T769. if I hold down the 3 buttons, vol up/dn and pwr, remove battery all that stuff I DO NOT get the "WaRNING" or download screen. It will only give me recovery screen after the Galaxy splash screen. I have tried every method available. I have tried every unlock I can find, oneclick and unlock and even Odin but it needs the download screen. It will not see phone till it totally boots. Was hoping you had something to install thru recovery screen to get to download screen. Have not tried ADB yet but have not read everything on how it works or what to do. Really have not found much info on ADB way to unlock.
So since everyone here is a lot more advanced than I am figured I would ask. Seems only a handfull of Blaze devices will not go into download mode.
1. Turn phone off and plug to pc
2.proceed to hold both volume and power button simultaneosly. Keep holding down until phone vibrates then let go of power button and continue holding volume buttons.
3. Let go of buttons as soon as u get to the next screen then press vol up to proceed to download mode.voila
P.s. I have the same baseband.
That should work for you, works for me all the time
If i helped in anyway hit the thank button
i just P.M you with a video on how to do it

+ Download PIT http://shabbypenguin.com/k0/blaze.pit
+ Download Clockworkmod recovery TAR http://www.shabbypenguin.com/OUDstuff/Blaze4G/Clockworkmod-Blaze-4G.tar
+ Extract Odin-185.zip
+ Run Odin 1.85.exe and make sure that you check "auto-reboot", and uncheck all other options.
+ Click PDA and select the TAR you downloaded. Click PIT and select the PIT your downloaded. Uncheck repartition.
+ Connect your device to your PC
+ Remove the battery while holding down volume up and volume down buttons
+ Reinsert the battery and press volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time until your device has entered download mode.
Good luck
Sorry. Have tried and tried. Total time trying this exact method and others over the past 2 days about 4 hours. Will not go into download mode. Have all of the above installed and ready to go on the computer. Can get odin to connect if phone is totally booted up in working mode but that does nothing for odin. Same with superoneclick and unlock root. The last two are not configed for 2.3.6 on blaze 4g or something so they will not complete the root/unlock.
If I remove battery with usb plugged in it will vib about every 3 seconds. Once battery is put in it stops vibing but once you hold button it will vib one more time then "samsung" comes across screen goes away then blaze spash on screen and it continues to boot. Never see "warning" screen or download screen.
I have no issues getting into phone from pc or phone connecting to pc. Just no download mode.
As I said i did not want to take over your thread with this and I feel I have taken up to much of our time as it is. Thank you for your help. Hope someone has solution soon. Thanks again.

Just tryin to cover all the bases here, but you should be holding both the volumes and the power button when you put the battery back in. Then be ready to release all to quick vol up when the dl screen shows up. You should also be connected via usb.
Hope this helps.
Did you flash the exhilerate ICS ROM and now your phone won't do anything but bootloop?
Are you finished with testing and exploring the ICS ROM and are now ready to get back to your old Gingerbread ROM and patiently wait till we get something more reliable and stable?
Well ladies and gents, here it is. A simple Odin 1-click that will flash the old gb kernel and cwm recovery so you can get back to business.
There is no /system, /data, or /cache partitions included in this package. What is included is dk boot.img (kernel), cwm recovery.img and param.lfs. There is a huge chance your device will ONLY boot into recovery after flashing this so ensure you have YourFavoriteROM.zip on your sdcard.
I have tested this multiple times this morning and it hasn't failed me yet. But, as with anything I post:
I nor is Team Fah-Q or it's affiliates responsible for anything negative that may occour to your device as a result of probably something you did. Meaning, if you don't follow the instructions fully (which the are extremely simple) then you could brick your phone or cause a zombie apocolyps.
Now time for the good stuff:
How to flash:
1 Ensure you have to appropriate drivers installed on your computer
2 Ensure you have YourFavoriteROM.zip
3 Download QuickRecover.exe to your desktop
4 Start QucikRecover.exe
5 Plug phone into PC and boot into download mode
5 Ensure the connection box turns yellow and prints a port connection (if not, check PC connection and reboot phone to recovery again)
6 Press start button and wait
7 When it is finished and the phone reboots, quickly unplug the phone and hold volume up/down buttons to get into recovery mode. If you miss it, that is ok, just simply hold power button andvolume up/down untill phone vibrates. Release power button while still holding volume buttons untill phone is in recovery mode
8 Flash YourFavoriteROM.zip.
9 Once phone is rebooted open dialer and Dial *#*#2663#*#* then tap the TSP FW Update and Touchkey FW Update button (this will bring back your soft keys)
10 Reboot
11 Hit the thanks button and provide some feedback in this thread
12 Find and hit Erik's donate button (if you can) to help our brother out. He has fallen on some hard times.

SWEET! Man I so thought I was the one messing things up when I was bootlooping. You two are the best!
I did the Quick Recover process and then flashed another ROM like it said, but when it rebooted my old settings and apps were still in place. Also the touchkeys still work without doing the dialer thing.. Did something not work? What else should I wipe/format/mount in recovery to ensure a clean flash before I flash my Rom?

13 Eirk, I put it out there because we all love your work and miss you a lot (no homo!)
Thanks to j3r3goss for the soft key fix

I don't own the Exhilarate, but I'm assuming recovery is the same across devices. First, download a new ROM and place it on your sd card, one of your choice. There's a Slim Bean for your device here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438192
I would suggest trying that, I've heard great things about Slim Bean. So once you have Slim Bean ROM on your device, and gapps (need both, they are both on the op of the forum), go into recovery, do a factory reset, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik (in the advanced option). Go into Mounts and Storage, then format System, Format cache (probably redundant, but to be sure), and format data. You can do each a couple times it you want. Then flash the Slim Bean zip, the gapps zip, and reboot! Like I said, not sure if recovery is different across devices, but considering ktemp made the updates for both our recoveries, I'm assuming they're the same. DO NOT format the sd card that the ROM and gapps are in, that would be BAD! Just format/wipe what I mentioned, and you'll be golden!
---------- Post added at 07:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:22 PM ----------
Make sure you've updated cwm! If not, I've been told bad things could possibly happen. Ktemp posted it in the BeanStalk ROM thread in development, a couple posts down. Flash updated cwm, then do what I said above!
Hi All,
Just got hold of a pretty good condition Nexus S for my Work/ Second phone, and its a dam nice phone. My daily is an N4.
I have read many threads, tried many tips and even ended up rooting and running CM10.1.
I much prefer stock android, so its now on 4.1.2.
Unless I am being an utter nob, and missing the obvious, I cannot get into my Stock Recovery. It seems like its missing.
I have tried Vol+ & power. Vol- to recovery. I get the Android Red Triangle.
I have tried then pressing Vol+ or Vol- or a combination.
I must be doing something wrong.
Any advice would be great.

Just use Nexus root tool kit and put in a custom recovery.. You can use to flash completely to stock, which should restore the stock recovery, but the custom is better and more reliable for flashing..
Thanks for the very quick reply Setting.Out.
I have used the root kit. I used it to root and install a custom recovery.
I used it to return to stock rom too, but still cannot show the stock recovery.
I have seen youtube vids where the red triangle shows and you need to use Vol+ to access your stock recovery, but no luck for me.
Is it possible its missing.
I bought it and prior to buying it was running a custom rom. I asked the owner to return it to stock for me.
I have rooted and got my hands dirty with phones for years and this is just bugging me :silly:

Thanks Chill for the post, it has been useful, just have a question, need to copy some files off the phone from recovery but i get the andriod figure lying down with a red exclamation mark. My Nexus S(stock) keeps rebooting before it gets to showing the home screen. Read from other posts that if i can get to recovery, plug cable into PC then i can copy files. If i re-flash recovery with stock recovery, will i lose my data files?

You don't lose data if you flash a recovery. As a matter of fact, any recovery.

Thanks smit sanghavi, I did finally figured out how to get into the menu of recovery(stock), once you see the green android lying down with red exclamation mark, hold power then click up volume. However unfortunately i might have run out of luck, i couldn't re-flash the stock recovery, because the error says bootloader is locked. As per details in other posts, when i unlock the bootloader, it will wipe all files. Even when im at the recovery menu, windows won't detect the Nexus S when i plug into USB... so unless there is another way to get adb running, then all my files are lost...

I made the mistake of flashing a CM nightly on my tablet, because now everything's broke. I had it set up with CWM and SlimLP alphas which were running fine, but now everything's bunk.
I've tried turning off the tablet, but it just starts back up again without warning, even when unplugged. I've tried every power/volume combination at boot, but it only boots to Android.
I hopped into an root Android terminal session and typed
Code:
reboot download
and
Code:
reboot recovery
as well as
Code:
reboot bootloader
and
Code:
reboot fastboot
all of which send the tablet back to Android post-boot.
ADB recognizes it as an ADB device, but it will only show as offline, and revoking the UBS authorizations doesn't prompt them again later.
I've even tried Odin Mobile and UAMP, as well as ROM Manager, but they won't flash anything either. Rather, the things they flash don't stick after a reboot.
What do I do?
Fixed it! Had to do a battery pull, but download mode kicked in again just fine.
How you did it? Battery pull?
Beware of nightlies, only trust after getting positive feedback from other brave saps. Must have B/U before you go there.
Pp.
How did you do it!??!
what did you do to get your tab to boot to recovery mode? i've had to revert twice in the last 2 years back to 4.2.2. because anything higher causes the tab to never boot to recovery mode to apply any updates or flash anything. would really love any help here as I can almost never find anyone with the same problem so trouble-shooting has been next-to-impossible, thank you!!

To pull the battery, you have to remove the front faceplate from the back. You can do this by very carefully separating the glass part of the screen from the plastic housing around it. (You need to remove the SD card, too, otherwise you'll risk bending or ripping out the port) Then, once you have that removed, there's a cable that runs out of the battery to the PCB and connects with a creamish-colored connector. Just pop it out.
I followed this video for visual aid. You can see him remove the battery cable at the three minute mark.

I was mostly putting it here in case anyone else ever has this problem. They have a resource.
I wanted to install a custom Rom on my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0 so I downloaded TWRP latest and unlocked the Bootloader and installed TWRP.
Now the OS doesn't boot up anymore and the TWRP starts but gets rebooted all the time, and TWRP does not seem to be able to mount anything. When it reboots it looks like it automatically goes to the TWRP where it says it is running OpenRecoveryScript but it is unable to mount anything. I tried a boot start to Recovery and it worked but when I tried a factory reset it says the same thing.
I'm worried my phone will die and have further issues, I need help as soon as possible.

It could be, indeed that was my first thought as time ago it used to happen. But I've been trying as a maniac the not less maniac solution of hitting it softly and spasmodically as it turns on, but no success. Such solution it used to work, now it does not.

Ok, it looks like a f******* and annoying incredible coincidence, right after the flash, the power button arises !! BUT my last test looks like that's the problem :: While rebooting forever, I just keep the VolumeDOWN button pressed and it tries to enter the fast boot menu, as it the power certainly already pressed.
Now that I have the hammerhead open, I'll google to seek how to consistently fix that annoying problem.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I managed my self thru it yesterday, using mainly these 2 YouTube videos

I've already mange thru these nearly 3 years to keep my great hammerhead alive ! Replacing its flex cable, battery, now manipulating the sticky button ....I do not know how much life is left for it but GOD SAVE THE HAMMERHEAD !
