Random reboots??? Try this xposed module!!!! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

Try this xposed module if you are suffering from random reboots, I used to have a couple a day and haven't had one since I installed this!!

This seems to work, thanks.

Tapatalk runs like garbage on VZW s3, anyone else?

It gets to the point where I can't scroll down it lags so bad and then it eventually force closes. I've only heard one other person complain of this same issue with a semi solution of force closing it and clearing out cache in app manager, but it happens so frequently now. Ugh. Anyone else have this problem and maybe a possible solution?
yeah my xda app does the same thing (tapatalk hosted I think) I was wondering the same thing.

There has been threads on this.. i think the new version is broken..esp on picture heavy threads
Ran like crap on my Inc with ICS too. Just installed today's update of XDS, hopefully it's better.

Yes this is a dupe, something isn't coded properly in the app it seems. Hopefully the last update fixed it, I haven't had any issues since the update.
Edit: update did not fix it, mine just started lagging again.

Mine works great, even on pic heavy threads.
I've had the last 2 or 3 rapid fire updates. But I haven't had any issues w/ tapatalk ever.
Tapatalk has been ****ty for the last few weeks. The most recent update seems to have cured most issues, although I have the occasional lockup still.
Def not a gs3 problem though. My note and razr do the same thing.

Mine still slowed down after the update

When this happens to me I just kill the app and reopen it and its much smoother.

Seems like when I ask it to do something before it's finished loading, it crashes.
Other than testing my patience, it's chugging along just fine for me. I rarely use it though.
It's the app and not our phones. Same thing happens on Nexus 7 using Jelly bean, which is super smooth in every other app. I'm half tempted to just use the website but XDA is a pretty heavy Site.

Happens to me also

I have more of a issue that I saw the CPU used to jump to 30+% while idle
Not for me! I just came from the Motorola razr and tapatalk ran like crap on that! Runs like a dream on the gs3
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
This is why I use XDA Free 1.4.2
Didn't have any of these problems. I edited the app name so that it wouldn't bug me for updates and I've been a happy camper since!

Tapatalk = garbage. Xda needs to get a mobile site so we don't have to use this trash.
When this starts happening, I suggest you go to the applicationxmanager and clear the cache for tapatalk. Clearing the cache has considerably helped the app perform fadter and smoother overall.

XBlast for Closed on Nexus 5

Does anyone know if the Xblast works for nexus 5? I am trying to edit things to make my phone personal and Xblast is not working after applying changes and doing a soft reboot. I was looking forward to this.
Any help is appreciated
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Ive tried xblast on my N5 and only about half of the stuff worked. I recommend gravity box
Yeah I looked at that but it always says waiting for response from gravity box framework...then waits about ten seconds and says no response from gravity box, closing...then force closes.

Keyboard , on screen buttons not working , random apps closing .....

I am rooted , Franco kernel r35 , and gravity box installed.......
Let's say after I restart the nexus , I can go through a couple of hours browsing Google chrome fine , then randomly the back button doesn't work along with the keyboard not popping up , I'm guessing this is a ram issue??? Is it the actual nexus phone problem or is it the kernel... ????

you guessed wrong. It has something to do with xposed/gravity box. I had the same issues last time. Try disabling xposed/gravity completely and try again. if problem still persists, try getting a logcat.
I remember having the same exact issue with cataclysm rom also...
Forgot to add the back button and keyboard will sometimes work and sometimes doesn't , its really weird and random , I'll try to see if disabling xposed module will work

Wow I just uninstalled xposed module along with gravity box and my ram usage has gone down from 70% to 30%

With Android unused memory is wasted memory. Judge lack of memory by how laggey your UI gets when switching between apps previously opened. The lag would be caused by Android having to load a previously removed app due to insufficient memory.

Strange.. are you running any other mods? DPI change?
Omg I finally found a thread that addresses this problem.
I have greenify installed, but no Xposed.
I was previously on BeanStalk, but changed over to Vanir just yesterday, problems happened on both ROMs.
Keyboard will not open, apps crash, soft buttons not working.

What? I'm running greenify without xposed on Omni rom. Don't have any issues at all.

Weird problem huh... Sometimes a lock/relock solves the problem, while the other times the entire phone is unusable until rebooted.
Launcher will crash (but no crash dialogue, it just restarts itself), cannot close background apps as recent button is not working, cannot enter settings either (through menu button).

I'm having this same exact issue on cataclysm, franco r35. It just started happening the past few weeks, it's like the launcher re-starts and re-draws every time I go to the home screen. Or apps will crash but not get the FC message, just go back to the wallpaper and wait for the launcher to re-draw. When this stuff is happening, it's like the back button loses its functionality. Rebooting doesn't always help, sometimes I have to delete cache and dalvik cache. Then things will be fine for a day or two and it'll start again.
I was looking to go with a ROM that's as close to stock as possible, except I really want lockscreen target ring and customizable quicksettings, but now it seems like it's not a cataclysm issue so maybe I'll sit tight for a while. When the phone is working - which is a majority of the time - it's super smooth and responsive like always, so I'm not too anxious to make any changes.
Im pretty late posting a reply, but may i ask, what lcd density were you using? was it custom? cause i flashed blisspop today and having this exact issue since installing and changing my lcd density

Chrome Issues

Is anyone else having issues with chrome kinda freezing? At least twice a day trying to use it, the progress bar will go all the way across the screen, and nothing but a white screen comes up. The new tabs page works fine, but any web page i try to open does this, until i force stop chrome in apps, then it works fine for a while. Happens on my Maxx and my Tab tablet. There's no indication or set number of times it'll work before it does it again. Thought about uninstalling and reinstalling, but since it's a system app, TiBU gives me a big warning about doing so. I am rooted, one 19.6.3, but this has been happening since I was on 19.5.3 unrooted. Any ideas?
Yes it happens to me at least once a day. Only way around it is new tab for me.

Havent actually tried a new tab yet..Ill give it a try today and see what happens. Be a bit easier than force stopping every time.

I've had the same issue since updating to KK. I've factory reset, cleared cache, etc and was sick of having to start new tab every time. I Uninstalled chrome updates and it's working as it should now, annoying glitch and work around

Can you go into more detail? Mine connects but doesn't do anything. Thanks.
Just went through that yesterday. Finally flashed the Xposed Alpha and enabled a few things including Xtended Settings. WiFi indicated ON in Notifications but in Quick Settings showed OFF. I had also installed DU Battery and Optimizer so those may have borked it. Ditched everything and WiFi came back. So much for the scientific method. I'll take another shot at Xposed today.
The exciting thing is that the Alpha installed.
