Meizu M9 engineering ROM

Hi all,
Does anyone heard this android phone? Meizu M9 features a samsung s5pc110 processor (the same as galaxy s) and 960x640 resolution sharp asv lcd (the same as iphone 4).
I have recently got a m9 engineering sample and successfully dumped out the system. Here is the link: hotfile.com /dl/85889655/e781655/update.zip.html (sorry i can't post link, pls remove the space)
Is there anyone interested in it? the UI is pretty awesome, may be we can port it into other phones

seems impressive library of supported codecs here

it would be amazing to have this rom ported to the HD2. i had a meizu before my HTC and i loved it.

Nice! Any official rom dumps already? Today was the official launch of the phone... can't wait to see the rom ported and apps extracted.

M9 looks like a really solid phone, the UI looks much better than any other launchers I have seen on Android so far.

i cant put this rom for da vibrant y it get stuck when i install it.......

I wanted your help in buying me a phone. I'm currently using my nexus prime and xperia mini. So, i want to replace mini with a phone within 300$ or about Rs. 16k. Helps would be appreciated :victory:

At that price the best you“ll find here in India is the Galaxy Nexus that too only via unofficial sources.
You can also have a look at Optimus L9 or Samsung Galaxy S Advance.

Or an atrix2 by motorola. ( I'm not sure if it's still available). If you are into the custom kernel and stuff, ignore this. It's completely locked. But development is going on with same stock KERNEL.

I have Xperia P. It has 900x600 screen resolution. Awesome phone. You can try it.

I Was suggesting him according to his budget.
We don't have contracts here in India, so we pay full money like you would of you bought an unlocked version.
And s4 would cost nothing less than 35k INR (700$).

I do believe the Nexus Prime was the Galaxy Nexus before the official announcement.
For 300 dollars you could probably get something like a Galaxy S2 or a HTC sensation

Well i don't want another nexus as i have a prime. So, earlier when i was on low budget i thought about going for xperia j or sola or HTC sesire X. But now as i have an increased budget i was looking for the xperia s or the sl. Galaxy s2 is a bit outdated ( no offense ) And as for s3 it's quiet expensive for my budget ( being around 30k ) and as for s4 it's gonna be around 35k-40k. Which is an outrageous amount for a 10th standard student like me :crying:

1) Jelly Bean update!! The most important thing! I'm so annoyed by flashing JB roms on my current devices. So many bugs but still developers are working hard on these roms.
2) Camera. I need a camera capable of doing Full HD recording.
3) GPU to play games like RR3, MC4 or Nova 3.
4) Battery Backup. I currently last about 9-10 Hours with the way i use my device. I'm constantly on whatsapp and Kik!
5) Screen size is not an issue but above 3.5 inches.

I guess it depends what you want to do with it...
Just got mine yesterday and am still playing with it, but basically all of the apps I had on my old Note 2 work as well, if not better, on the Pro 2.

Ascend Mate2 - any roms for this new phone?

I'm trying to see if there are any Roms(cyanogen?) for the Mate 2(not the original), or does it not matter?
Great device, but hate the launcher/UI they use. I'd prefer stock android. :good:

if the luncher is your problem , just install some other lunchers like dodol luncher , its so cool n nice

I'd prefer a closer Android rom then a launcher. It makes it run smoother and gives me more RAM to use as it only has 2GB to begin with. Any idea on ROMS for the Mate 2? I know it's a newer device, but it would be ideal to get another ROM on it.

for mate 2 theres already some custom roms if im not mistaken. try looking at shuaji.net /shuaji.com something like that..
its chinese but you can use translator.

I bought the first Huawei Mate and I will NEVER buy another Huawei device again. Barely any support for custom Roms and this company does not believe in updates. Waiting 11 more months for my contract to end and I'm moving on to an LG G series. Saving a couple bucks when purchasing one of these is just not worth it.

Didn't sideload google apps.... because realized i don't need them to be installed.... using like a PC ! And after update this phone became even more better.

Was wondering about the window size adjustment since I didn't see that even after doing my out of the box update (after this was posted), but just checked and actually have 10.0.1.123 Guess they haven't released 138 to everyone yet

Lmao ! I use HMS ! The funniest part that I came from Pixel 4x and i thought is gonna be impossible. But I figured out how to use this device....you use stock browser to log in anything you want. Example banks, google drive etc...feels like i have a desktop in my pocket...lmao....i respect Huawei for optimization....games running extremely good, I can't believe that is much more optimized than snapdragons !!!!! I also have to admit that Huawei can improve smoothest of UI....but its coming in 10.1 ! So i respect all this....is better than my galaxy fold... better bro !!

Wait... I don't have any problem with whats app!
This you check yiur settings/user accounts/whatsapp and make sure is on auto sinc.
If is not working...factory reset your phone.

Galaxy fold is not optimized as a tablet. Everything opens there as in smart phone view. You can change the screen size is switching down to tablet mode and you starting to see big lags in openning/closing apps.
Gaming on Fold (snapdragon) is bad... example AXE game., life after they all running bad on ultra settings.
Now i understand what is optimization meaning with
Mali-G76 MP16 and kirin. Im telling this as a owner of "2" galaxy fold ! Fold can't even run well 2 games together !

Where is that darned 10.1 ???
