How in the world is he meant to do that? The device is bricked.

I had my phone bricked like that too. I held the power button for about a minute, and it booted back up.
However, if that doesn't work, definitely try what Droid-2 mentioned.

You don't need to make multiple threads about this, if your phones detected as qhsusb_bulk with a dozen drives popping up then this is fixable. I haven't tried the thread that heisenburg linked but I've dealt with bulk mode before so I can probably help you.

What version of carbon rom is installed? Which HBoot/Radio is installed on your phone?

This problem is more related with root detection by apps, but since I have a oneplus one, I have posted here.
Super ecran is an app of the french superchannel movies, here in canda (quebec) and I try to run it on my oneplus one (stock+rooted) it says that it detect that the phone has been ''changed'' and does not allow me to go further and watch movies.
1) is it a rooted problem ?
2) is it a cm detection problem ? No, I tried on nexus 5 stock+rooted, same problem...
3) is there a way to make it work (turnaround) ? I saw on google play the app ''hide root'' but the link seems to be broken and I didn't get it.
If someone have clue about this, please let me now. Thank you.
the app is exactly named ''Super Écran GO''.

Tried with rootcloak : doesn' t work either. Don't know what to try next...I don't want to Unroot for that. Any help ?

It's a similar situation over here in the UK with Sky Go. It detects the rooted nature of the phone (even with root disabled) and won't run. It doesn't look like it'll get sorted any time soon either

I am unable to use my LG Optimus G [E975] after my sister locked the phone by trying 20 times to input the password. I had formatted the phone and hadn't added gmail account or configured with the data connection. Now it is requesting for an email and password, which is not configured. I did try to hard reset by pressing the Volume Down and Power keys but it doesn't show me the hard reset menu as per the forums. Requesting your help with regards to my issue. Thank you.

if it don't work you can try flash back to stock rom

Hello guys my sister came to me with bricked phone. PC wont detect it. There's a sound when I connect it trough USB, but I cant see my phone in PC. I have tried to install LG pc suite, then I have tried to install drivers manualy, but no result.. Phone is doing nothing, I cant go to download mode or boot mode... I think that I need to reinstall my OS. Is its difficult and how can I do it? Or do you have any ideas how can I fix it?
One day a hav the same problem with my LG e980.I remove the battery for 3 hour and after that i have download mode working.Try this if you have download mode working i will show you how the install the Rom

Hello..i bought a s8 plus dual sim from a friend.everything works fine except some samsung apps including the theme and galaxy store..I tried to update OTA buh it doesn't respond..i tried flashing to 9.0 but had a SECURE CHECK FAIL : BOOTLOADER..i cant even identify the right bootloader..iam even confused as to how to get the right rom to flash.
Will be glad if any one can help.
It seems you have a custom binary.
You need to erase all the data from the recovery and then flash an official ROM with Odin on your PC.

Hold power+bixby+volume up buttons, erase data. Turn the phone off and then go to odin mode (power+bixby+volume down), connect the phone to your PC and flash the ROM you downloaded on your computer with Odin.

Flash the 4 files with the 4 different buttons suggested by Odin corresponding to each file and start the flash once your phone is connected to your PC and in Odin mode. You won't need the last file.

Ok it seems to be linked with the pit file. You normally dont have to flash it because employees do that in factory when your phone is about having a flashed software.
Search on the internet and download SM-G955FD.pit file or download an entire ROM from a downloader. You normally have these 4 files + the .pit file if I remember well...

Yes try this one. The variant FD doesn't seem to exist, I did not pay attention to that.

dont flash any just the 3 files before it
and if you still can't flash the firmware, you downloaded the wrong rom for your phone, that happen to me with my s7, i tried to flash the G935U version but my s7 is G935F, the final letter does matter

The firmware i downloaded is sm-g955FD..that means I have to download sm-g955F?
Meanwhile in download mode the phone shows sm-g955N..

and flashed and had SECURE CHECK FAIL: BOOTLOADER.

are you using the latest odin version?
and yep, try the N one, no problema
PD: connect you phone to an usb 2.0 port, don't use 3.0 (2.0 is the black one, 3.0 the blue one)
