Who no body can make ROM better than stock ROMs

hi
now i have tried every Custom ROM in this forum and i can`t find Custom ROM Better than the Original Firmware
the original firmware is good but it have a littile stupid themes / styles no more
when any body make his own ROM he edit some thing make its ROM worth than Stock ROM

then make your own beautiful theme for your "oh so great" stock rom using UOT KITCHEN..not a great deal! -_-
and just because YOU don't like custom roms doesn't mean they are worse than stock ones! i wud choose to live without android device rather than without a custom rom!!

As XDA is almost entirely dedicated to custom ROMs, a thread essentially bashing custom ROMs in general isn't likely to generate any beneficial or productive discussion. Closed.

[Request/help] [AOSP/GE] [JB 4.3] TW Accuweatherwidget + lockscreen wallpaper

Hello Folks.
The time has come that alot of people are switching from touchwiz roms to Google Edition Roms or Cyanogenmod.
Well i currently use a Google Edition Rom JB4.3.
But, there are a few things that i really miss from the touchwiz roms:
- Stock/transparant/semi transparant Accuweatherwidget
- Besides the regular wallpaper, you can set a different wallpaper as lockscreenwallpaper.
I really want this on my Google Edition rom and it would be perfect if someone could inform me about an existing thread (could find it) or sometin else.

However, i dont know if i can use this on AOSP 4.3 - Google edition ROM for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505).

On my version of 4.3 I go to Settings > Security > Lock Screen > Background to change the wallpaper. Hope it works for you :good:

Hi, I'm using Slimbean beta5 (4.3) for the i9300. My apologies but I wrongly assumed that the menu layout would be the same on any 4.3 ROM. I will be getting the i9505 on Tuesday so will look into this for you. The only other things I can think of are Settings > Display > Wallpaper and see if it gives you separate Home & Lock screen options OR choose a picture from gallery and see what options 'Set as' gives you.
With regards to the accuweather widgets, there are certainly enough zips and apk's available on XDA but it will be a case of trial and error as to which work on your 4.3 ROM and those that don't.
If you do find a solution to either please post back as I too would be interested.

What's the screen resolution on that device? If someone has themes for a similar resolution they'll work. Themes for the most part will work on different devices. Just the recovery itself is different.

I tried the original method from smokin1337 and it didn't work. Finally got it to work by taking the /system/bin/bootanimation from a Liquid Smooth KitKat ROM and using the /system/bin/samsungani from smokin1337's bootanimation4u process and of course putting a bootanimation.zip in /system/media.

Original Theme for Galaxy Core Duos & S5 icon theme problem

hy, nice too meet you. i am a new member here, need your help..
i finally dare to root my lovely core duos. it has good theme and visual now, also performance. i still use stock ROM, with filth kernel installed and also some s5 theme (in status bar).
i have 2 problems here..
1. I upgrade everyhting, but forget to back up. is there someone kindly to share the original System UI+framework & boot animation for galaxy core duos?
2. I tried to install S5 icon packs, but always failed (it changed nothing). what's wrong here?? (I already wiped cache+cache, TWRP user here)
