I am going to be in the states in a few weeks and plan to get some gadget shopping in.
Since the i9000 is not sold there, is there an American Galaxy version whose extended batteries and cases can be used with the i9000 as well? The Captivate maybe?

I'm stuck between getting a Galaxy Nexus or a Galaxy S III. I have to pay $100 for the Nexus or pay $300 for the Galaxy S III. Would you justify spending an extra $200 for the Galaxy S III or should I stick to the Nexus and save a bit of money for something like a SSD for my PC.

I would take the Galaxy Nexus because its directly supported from google with the latest firmware and not full of samsung crap apps ( i hope it is)

Sell your S3 on eBay, buy a Note 2 paying the difference out of pocket (maybe $200 or so). I know several people that have sold theirs for 500.
Not sure if we can name drop but swappa is good. I have used them.

I am actually about to sell my S3 to somebody on craigslist for 400$ then with that money I am going to go pick up a note 2 at full retail. We are meeting at a verizon store so we can both activate phones at the same time..
Someone contacted me from Craigslist from Nigeria and was a total scam... Sent me a fake PayPal receipt and everything so watch out

No lol I was laughing when I found out! I'm so stupid though... I just bought a nexus 10 on the 1st day it came out and should have sold s3 and just bought a note 2 outright... Any way to get a replacement note 2 for s3?

Probably not since there are millions of S3s that were made. Unless the people make a mistake and package the wrong phone on accident, chances are you won't be able to switch your S3 for a Note 2.

All let you guys know! Going to go pick up the note 2 today... A little sad there isn't much rom development with the xynos chip found in the note 2 bit I think it will pick up being that CM is developed for the international note 2...anyways
