I just learned today from a WIND Representative that my M-Horse N9000W Chinese phone is not compatible with the WindMobile network. However, she did tell me that there might be a way to change the frequency of the phone to match Wind's. She mentioned flashing. Does anybody have any idea in how to attempt this? I have experience in rooting and flashing ROMs (Nexus 4, LG G2x, Samsung Gio, S2, S3 and S4). Please help me.

Hi,
I'm having trouble finding ROMs that will work for my specific device. The problem is that there is so many versions of the Samsung Galaxy S, and I'm 100 % sure which version I even have. Plus it's becoming relatively outdated due to the S II and S III.
My phone is rooted and everything and I have already tried flashing one custom ROM that supposedly works with Galaxy S but the install failed and I had to start again.
So if anyone could point me to where I could find ROMs for my specific device that would be wonderful. Now let me give you all the info I can about my phone...
Samsung Galaxy S (possibly Galaxy S 4g? or vibrant?)
T Mobile US version
Model Number SGH-T959V
Firmware 2.3.6
Baseband T959VUVKJ6
Kernel 2.6.35.7-sms-kj6-v0.1.1-rc1+ (custom root kernel)
Gingerbread VUVKJ6
Hi,
When I got my Samsung Galaxy Q (SGH-T589R), a few months after having, I found out that there is another version of this phone, running android 2.3 gingerbread. And the model was SGH-T589W and was named the Samsung Galaxy Q.
Then, I wondered:
If I already had a very simalar phone, perhaps I could install its ROM with odin? And is it possible?
If there are any suggestions/answers, please reply
Signed,
Drew
HELP NEEDED
Hey, thanks for looking at this.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition and I'm using T-Mobile as my carrier.
My question is this: To install a aftermarket firmware distribution, such as Cyanogenmod, do I follow the instructions for the Stock T-Mobile Galaxy S4? The kernel should be the same (which is why Samsung is sending me the Android OS updates), so I don't suspect anything to be different, but I want to take precaution against bricking my day-old $700 phone.
Thanks!
Branf new s4 samsung, and a s2 phone im using on boost mobile. What do i need to flash to boost mobile? I have been trying all day to get this done. I have cdma 3.9, current dfs?
Helo,
Can i install samsung galaxy s standared i9000 rom in samsung galaxy s 4g t-mobile? or can i change my phone model to standared samsung galaxy s 1?
No! Don't try it, you'll very likely brick your phone.
Make sure before you flash anything from this forum that your phone model (You can find it under the battery) is one of the following:
SGH-T959V
SGH-T959W
