I just flashed CyanogenMod last night, and apparently the Google Keyboard is very battery-hungry.
Here's what I mean:

This is very annoying and I need to have it fixed in ~6 hours.
Does anybody have an idea what this could be caused by, or how I could fix it?
Thanks in advance.
sheet happens. reboot your phone and it'll probably be alright. sometimes process get stuck and reboots usually fix them.

I don't have any hard facts but I feel like my phone has been getting worse and worse. Here's some screenshots of today's crap performance from stock battery usage and BBS.

Stock, rooted, running Vindicator kernel.
If you are experiencing that level of drain while your phone should be idling, dont worry. It is a common issue and there is a fix available. Quite certain root is necessary thought, if not to flash, to change permissions.
The fix is here

I had already done this fix a few weeks back. Not sure how it could've come back but I suppose it's possible as I have been tinkering with my phone. Thanks for the help!
Sad to say that fix did not work. My phone lost about 50% battery while I was asleep.
Anyone else have their s3 just start vibrating frantically then overheat. I'm hoping we don't have yet another epic Samsung recall

We won't have to worry about recall.

This is a simple issue for anyone frantically using the new gear s3. It only starts to overheat when used excessively too long. Or if you have a long-running app in the background. The vibration is just to get your attention.

Make a call to that reporter at the Huntingdon post (or whatever that rag was called). We can have another major crisis. Way to go. :silly:

I just got my phone back from warranty, so it's freshly reset and this popped up randomly. Well I must have done something that summoned it but I'm not sure. I was just playing COC and tapping the screen as usual then this. Anyone know. Bringing up recent apps showed nothing.

You sure it's not an app you installed. There are some apps that can have that.
Assuming it's not a 3rd part app, can you check the firmware/android version of your phone?

Not yet
I think they gonna make a new update to fix all their problems.
A couple of my friends also suffer from that
Yes I also have this problem since updating
I also had this problem, it was driving me mad for a long time, but after many hours I have discovered that you have to turn on miui optimization in developer options, to make the app links work again.
have o look at developer options/ down to "Miui optimizing" switch. Is it set to on? If not, change to on and reboot.
Maybe this could fix the problem.

I found this solution, and worked fine for me:

I did nothing, nothing, suddenly one day the screen began to look like this
Any update on why this happened to your phone or any fix on it? The same thing just happened to my nfc earlier today. Phone seems to operate just fine, but no display - just the backlit black screen. Even registered on the PC when fastboot devices in the cmd prompt...just no displaying of images
Nothing, I think only change the display this problem will be fix it.
