PLEASE HELP ME !! My PHONE HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR OVER TWO WEEKS NOW !!!

You posted in the wrong forum. This one is for the HTC One S and not the One SV.
I'm not familiar with the model of your device (I only flashed some roms for my father's and my sister's K2_UL). As far as I know running a RUU that belongs to your carrier could solve your problems. But since I'm not familiar with your model I'm not able to tell you which RUU you got to use.
The best thing you can do is try to find some help here.

[Q] Semi bricked Desire S HBOOT 2.00.000

I've semi bricked my Phone, boo hoo. Please help I I'm hoping it is possable to fix.
Stuatus is:
*** LOCKED ***
S-ON
HBOOT 2.00.000
Freezes at the HTC logo when trying to boot.
I reached this situation by installing RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.9_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_234765_signed.exe but I did neglect to switch the fastboot option off. Thoug I don't believe this is the issue.
I've tried using an old Vodafone ROM buy downloading a Vodafone RUU, extraxting the rom.zip and copying it to the SD card and renaming it PG88IMG.zip. The Andriod loader picked it up but complained it was an older version than installed software.
Please help. I've looking at pages on XDA and other sites for hours and hours and have got nothing to show for my efforts.
I'm thinking I either need to be able to:
1. Unlock (S off) the phone withough it being bootable, it this possable?
2. Or, find an very recent Vodafhone stock ROM that is compatable with hboot 2.00.002
Though I there may be other way of resolving this.
Many thank
Ivan
Things have moved on (a little).
Using the HTC book unlocker I now have:
*** UNLOCKED ***
S-ON
HBOOT - 2.00.0002
It still won't boot though :0(

I have problems with automatic software update it freezes on 20% then it reboots after few minutes, if i regard this problem the phone works fine. But im fustrated i want new software . Now i got in boot loader in this is what it says:

Know i need you help to explain this thing to me and if its safe and what do i have to do to install new software. Which software whould you
recommend and maybe can i install viper xl
Thanks
The phone definitely isn't new. You have SuperCID (11111111) and s-off which means it has been unlocked at some point. But the good news is you can easily unlock the bootloader at htcdev, then install a custom recovery, and then install Viper if you wish.

Thanks for the reply, now i never unlocked bootloader can you give me some advice on the safest way to do that and where can i see when bootloader is unlocked, sorry for dumb questions but if i dont ask ill never learn
Can somebody send me some links where can i find instructions on how to unlock bootloader, make recovery image and then how to install viper xl rom
Is your phone an at&t model? If it is it'll have the at&t logo above the screen, otherwise it'll just have the HTC logo.

You already have SuperCID so you can go to htcdev and unlock your bootloader.

The phone is s-off, does the OP even need to unlock the bootloader to install TWRP, flash ROM, etc.?
You typically won't receive OTAs for AT&T phones outside of North America. So that is probably why the update is failing.

[Q] My phone is bricked (or what ever)

Hi
Before starting I want you to know that I have been through 5-10 threads regarding the subject problem and still not know what to do. I am basically a layman to Flashing. The most adventurous thing I have done is downgrading a Sony Xperia Arc S from ICS to Gingerbread using a simple sofware sort of thing called "flashtool" and downloading ......... (i am leaving it blank cuz at the moment I am quite confused. Lets call it its original firmware)
And before I can explain the problem I am confused between the following terms: RECOVERY, ROM, KERNEL and RUU. Kernel i know is a software layer between H/w and OS. But then why we need to flash it seperately???? it should be a part of OS: which i think is called a ROM. RUU is the update to a recovery. but what exactly is the difference between ROM and RECOVERY. both seem to be like some sort of an image file that contains complete OS. Then there are bloody BOOTs that you have to unlock and keep lock at some times. God knows why
Now coming to the problem:
My HTC One X (bought here in Pakistan and should be containing the international firmware, i dont know for sure)
One fine morning a few days ago my phone showed up the update HTC released recently which changes the appearance of the GUI. I was quite happy to see it and immediately selected the option to install the update. The update ran and installed successfully. I used the new GUI for 2 days or so and then suddenly my phone got stoned (or brick or stuck). It turned off when i tried to use it and then started showing

So I am screwed really badly. The USB debugging mode that i know is essential to install a firmware is not enabled. and my device is not rooted. The device is not charging up properly.
I have downloaded Hansoon all in one toolkit (which seems to be of no use since debugging mode is not enabled). I have android SKD downloaded in my pc. so is HTC Sync. But dont have any idea where to begin.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I WANT TO SAVE THE DATA INSIDE THE PHONE THAT I CANT ACCESS.
..... i am trying to root the device using hansoon. but for that i need to generate some sort of a code. Now my device is showing up one option named barcode where i can see MB SN and IMEI of the device. is it possible to generate that code using these three???
I think I have posted it in the wrong forum. mods please delete it. I am starting a new thread in the right forum
Your phone is HTC one X Endeavour ......this forum for HTC one X Evita.....please check HTC one X forum ....we can't really help u that much ... BTW u go to www.htcdev.com to generate unlock_code.bin and follow instruction from there coz right now your bootloader show ****security warning****

[Q] how to unlock nd use my at&t HTC one x to normal one x

hello sir, I got at&t HTC one x nd I live in India it is running on android 4.0.4 where I am not able to update my anroid version nd not even on my hot spot. my friend who got a normal HTC one x has got anroid 4.2.2 I hav seen many posts of rooting unloaking I know nothing of it could someone pls help me in knowing what nd hw to root so tht I could use my phone as normal one with a succesful method.I know nothing
We need to see your bootloader details. Turn your phone off, once it's off hold volume down and then power (so you're holding both buttons together), after a few seconds let go of power but keep holding volume until you reach the white screen with text, this is your bootloader, please post the first five lines.
Sent from my Evita
If your friend has a One X, and its not from US or Canada, its a completely different phone. AT&T One X is actually known as the One XL elsewhere (dual core LTE version, code name EVITA). Aside from the US/Canada versions, every other phone branded as the One X is actually the quad core non-LTE version, code name ENDEAVORU.
EVITA and ENDEAVORU are completely different chipsets, and therefore different root methods, recovery ROMs, etc. So make sure you keep it straight and get it right.
For the EVITA, simply look up your firmware version and find the corresponding root, bootloader unlock, etc. on my Index thread:

I purchased my phone from kijiji, it was an unlocked Rogers phone, I rooted it, changed the rom to Viper XL 4.2.0 and also on TWRP 2.6.3. And I've also unlocked the boot loader from htcdev.com
I have somehow been able to change my rom and my recovery, but still S-ON?
I'm having issues with my phone rebooting, radio shutting off and the comments i've read state that I need to change my radio and/or my kernel, but i'm still s-on. I've read that I shouldn't have been able to get this far.
Last time I tried to change my kernel I got boot loops and had to re flash my rom.
Now I'm stopping and seeking help on what I should do.
Advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Of course you can change ROM and recovery while s-on, you have an unlocked bootloader. S-off is completely different from having an unlocked bootloader. An unlocked bootloader means you can install a custom recovery and therefore custom ROMs. S-off disables security checks, for people with hboot 1.14 this means no longer having to flash a boot.img via fastboot. It also means you can flash radios, and change your hboot. It also removes the risk of bricking your phone while running a jb RUU with SuperCID. To be honest I'm surprised you made it this far, not because you're s-on, but because you seem to lack a basic understanding of modifying your device.
If you want to continue using Viper (or any Sense 5 ROM) you need to get s-off so you can upgrade to the 2.15 firmware package.

S-off isn't needed for installing custom ROMs. All you need is bootloader unlock. Its just needed if you want to do other things (like timmaaa mentioned) such as modify hboot or flash a different radio.
If you were having trouble with the Beastmode Kernel, I think some folks had to install Beastmode 2.0, then 3.5. But you can look through the Beastmode thread for details on solving the bootloop, as you are not the only one, by any means.
Of course, s-off by the Facepalm method (very easy to accomplish) then flashing the 2.15 firmware is the other solution for random reboots.

[Q] Problems going back to stock after Venom Rom installed

Hi Everyone,
knowing it's all out there, just need to read (a lot), please help me finding the correct way to solve my problem. I can not change to other ROM, mostly due to lack of knowledge. Please before you judge and claim I should read and learn, i have kids who don't allow me read things properly, and there are tons of information out there, seems simplier to ask for directions this time, based on the situation of the phone.
This is the first custom rom I tried on my new S4 HTC One S (not brand new, just new to me). It was stock rom, locked. Followed instructions on different threads, I unlocked the phone, flashed TWRP recovery, installed SuperSU, copied Venom Rom zip to SD card and installed from recovery, with the aroma. Success. Before installation I did a backup in TWRP.
I very much like the rom (though have 2 issues: 1. phone reboots randomly without any notification. 2 phone loses carrier randomly, so I see no GSM connection as if SIM was removed. This happens when phone is untouched so no way SIM is loosy or something). When I try to chose carrier manually from settings, it sais no SIM card is installed...
But I would like to try other roms as well, and also wish to compare some stock roms. So I downloaded a generic HTC Europe stock RUU, hoping I can easily flash it. Relocked the phone, ran the RUU.exe with Fastboot USB mode in bootloader, but it all came up with error messages and left me at the HTC logo. All I can do is to re-install Venom 3.0.0 from recovery, that works, otherwise I end up in boot loop.
Also I can not go back to the original state using the backup from TWRP. It installs boots but it basicaly freezes before the phone setup comes. I can see the background image, the clock and the GSM antenna sign, but thats all, nothing else happens, no matter how hard I try to reboot.

When I re-locked the phone it said Tampered + Relocked + Security Warning
As recovery I have TWRP 2.6.0.0 flashed. I did nothing else.
Could someone help me with instructions or at least directions how I could go back to a nice stock RUU? With the one I downloaded i had different error codes 213 (wrong ID) and 255 Unkown error.
I believe as the phone is not S-OFF and/or Super CID, it is relevant which RUU I download. The phone used to boot with a voda logo, so I believe it was one of the UK or AT voda stock roms, but neither works.
Your opinion/feedback is highly appreciated.

To go back to stock u have to flash the right RUU, depends on which CID ur phone got.
u can download it here: http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Ville
If u downloaded the right RUU, boot ur HOS into fastboot relock the phone and start the RUU.
Let it finish and u r on stock
Hi Homeboy, thanks for the answer. Seems clear. I have only 1 question. How can I make sure which is the right RUU?
I believe I should do a getvar all command, to see the CID id? Then what shall I look at the RUU's filename?
And after the phone having been relocked, shall it be in fatboot USB in bootloader or shall the phone be up and running when I start the RUU.exe from the computer?
thanks
