I use the HTC keyboard and when writing an SMS, unknown words are underlined and I can add them to the dictionary by clicking on these words and selecting "add to dictionary" in the popup menu.
Is there some modification to get this feature in all input fields? Or is this a special feature of the SMS App and does not have to do anything with the keyboard?
there is an xposed module i think should help you out..http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-correct-t2745579 dunno how effective it is though as i haven't tried it
actually, I knew this module already and tried it because I was hoping it offers the function I'm looking for... But it ONLY enables auto correction not the ability to add new words to the dictionary directly from every edit text...

Is there any app that can automaticly remove diacritics from words from T9 dictionary? Since I've installed polish T9 pack I'm forced to remove them manually - it simply drives me mad
Wat do you mean? You want to remove your stores entries from T9 Dict?
Got to settings>personal>input and scroll to word completion tab and delete the entries.
No... I'm seeking app that can automaticly turn for example "mądrość" into "madrosc"
Vekh, would ask experienced member like Lechux....http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1775766
I know you can switch keyboards by tap-holding on the text field and tapping on the desired keyboard.
What I'm looking for is a way to switch the keyboards automatically based on the app being used. The only reason I want this sort of automation is because I'm using Google's ASE app, and the interpreter panel / interface doesn't allow switching keyboards. It does not pop up with the menu to do so after tap-holding.
Right now I have to switch to another app, switch keyboards, switch back to ASE, re-open the interpreter, and then start typing. In ASE I would prefer to use Android's native keyboard, while I use Swype for everything else.
Great question
I'm looking the same app too.
This why I prefer to use phone keyboard for sms' and mails but no for internet surfing, market, and other apps...
Is there any way to make app-keyboard association?
I'd really like to see this as well. I use one keyboard when writing text messages and another keyboard for all other applications, this due to no keyboard supporting all the languages I write in. An app that changes keyboard when you open/close a specific app would be great!
Hello All ,
I have dwelled into the world of swipe typing and i love it! Works great for english and other proper languages,
Issue arises when i use a made up language called Arabizi , Which is arabic words represented in english characters and numbers,
Using swype i have made a huge dictionary with the words commonly used , a word like "3aref, ma7lool etc." is possible to save in a dictionary and is recognizable when swiped.
I have tried all swipe based keyboards and only swype is able to recognize such structure.
Issue with swype is that it does not have a dedicated number row, and as you can imagine i use these numbers extensively.
So i turn to samsung's own keyboard with swype baked in ,but upper number rows are not recognizable when swiped ,So i was thinking, since i am able to get secondary symbols using Wanam xposed module, Is there a way to modify these symbols to be like swype (where secondary symbols on top characters are numbers)? if you know where i can find such a file to modify that would be amazing.
Thanks, And i am open to suggestions if you have any alternative keyboards in mind!
In many apps, when you type into an input box android will underscore mistyped words with a line. The problem is when typing in a different language, Spanish for example, it will underline every single word even if spelled correctly and it's kind of annoying. I know the language can be changed but it's really not feasible to go an change the system language every time I type something.
This feature is essentially not needed since every keyboard app, including LG's own has built-in spell-check and spelling suggestions. The G3 and G4 had an option to turn off native spell check but I can't seem to find it on the V10. I wonder which genius at LG decided to remove this option.

Thanks, but the keyboard feature is actually the feature I do want. I was referring to the actual input box, in certain apps the system underlines words that it thinks are spelled incorrectly, akin to how desktop computer underlines typos.
See attached photo.

Go Language & keyboard -> LG Keyboard -> Auto Correction -.> off (if you have multiple languages setting for your keyboard, there would be choice for each language)
Bonjour,
there are a few characters I'm using all the time on macOS.
I really miss them when I am on Android with the gboard keyboard.
Is there a way I can tell gboard that those are my favorite unicode characters and I want to be able to enter them easily?
As far as I think, Google is allowed to create a personal directory for adding custom Unicode.
You should go into the settings of Gboard and search for this option and then you'll get an option to add a Unicode character.
That would be great, but I went into the settings before posting and now again and I didn't see it.
Any hint?
