[Q] What is the most stable Kit Kat ROM? - HTC Sensation

This is my daughter's phone. The Halo build was good but she keeps getting "Media Process has stopped" when in camera -- and she uses the camera a lot.
What is the most stable 4.4.x build at this point?

I prefer builds from sultanxda, everything runs good and smooth, no issues...

The only issue I found out with Sultan's ROM was that when you shut off the screen and then after 15 seconds or more you turn it on, it gives me a dark screen, and after like 15 seconds or more it turns on That's the only problem that I found out. I installed Shantur's ROM - and it works great. No problems at all.
All ROM's are different even if you have an HTC Sensation. So i suggest you try Sultan's and Shantur's ROM - both are stable but I feel that Shantur's ROM is more stable than Sultan's at this point. Here is a link to both of them:
Sultan's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530073
Shantur's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2692278
Hope this helped!

Sultan roms is good but i often get trebutchet fc and im back to vipers 2.0.3 with s2w

Pretty happy with Sultans rom, tho many have reported mixed results after updating to 20.6/1.7 i think. You might just have to try if it works well, I've not had many issues except from a couple fcs.

I think that the most stable 4.4.x roms are the ones by Sultanxda, I used them for a lot of time and they never got big issues... But despite being a Kitkat and Cyanogenmod fan I strongly advise you to flash Vipers rom 5.2.1 which is based on Android 4.1.2, it works like a charm! No bugs at all and a lower battery drain if compared to CM11 based roms

[Q] Best Functioning 4.0.4 ROM?

which ROM so far works the best??
as far as performance, apps working and force closing..
I´m on the latest CM9 nightly and it works perfect for me,fast, smooth and stable, the battery life is also fine,up to 2 days with no OC and no games.Give it a try
You might want to check bedalus work on bechmarking ICS ROMs. As of now, I am using MIUI Stuff Crusted and it's working great (I'll probably going to test it a few more days, since I flashed it two days ago).
I'm using CyberGr's ICS Roms and it's awesome. Don't trust the synthetic tests, they are not the best way to judge a rom (although useful to some extent).
i am also would voute for cybergr's rom, really sweet.
i would like to recommand codename android i had all versions since 1.2.0 all worked perfect except 1.5.5 that had a problem editing APN's which solved in 1.6.0.
CNA also get updated really quickly.
I am using PixelRom 1.70 + AirKernel V3.7. So far most stable with no reboots.
I would say CM9 or AOSP+
4.0.4....
Sent from my IceCreamed Nexus S4G AOSP Codename ROM 1.6.0 Matrix 18.5
+1 for CyberGR
Really appreciate the forethought that went into the mods

Stock 4.0.4

[Q] IS CM stable worth to install?

Hi there mates,
I finally decided to dump the stock ROM and give it a try on custom one.
After reading a bit i think i'm starting to like Cyanogen, but since i want a good stable ROM i appreciated some opinions form anyone who is using it.
1st and really important: my stock ROM does not have any of the know issues (deep sleep probs, random reboots, battery drains etc...) so anyone know if CM 9.x stable have any of this issues?
2nd does everything work? In the CM forums i found no one complaining with "loosing" functionality's but i would like to ear from anyone that uses this on a daily basis. (i found a lot of people complaining with encryption problem and bad flashing but not about Wifi radio, camera, etc...)
3rd: Is this the best choice to use on a daily basis? Or there is a better/more stable/more fluid Rom?
Thanks to all.
Most of the CM 10.x ROMs are pretty stable and usable. I am a fan of the KatKiss ROMs. 4.2.2 has the best functionality, but the 4.3 variant is not bad. The only thng that does not work for me is camera on Skype.
+1 for KatKiss #226

Hmmm, if I did it was a while ago. CM 9 is based on ICS. I have not run an ICS ROM for more than a few hours in over a year. I would say that the Jelly Bean based ROMs (CM10.X) feel SO much faster due to project butter. I flashed back to stock ICS a bit ago, and it feels so sluggish.
Most of the threads on CM 10 you can see how stable they are. I know the No-Name CM 10.1 is rock solid. Joesteink has moved on, but the ROM is still rock solid and many users swear by it.

Is CM finally stable? I had it installed a year or so ago, but then it was still beta for the transformer. Since then I used various flavors and eventually stayed with the EOS-build. Very stable with all the options I ever need (like overclocking and gouvenor-changing). I'm still using EOS, since it's stable and performing very well. Katkiss seems to be the continuation of it, so you could try it yourself And if you don't like it, then you drop it for something else

Chose stable custom rom for my sis

Hello people
My sister is considering flashind custom rom on her SGS Advance. And because I'm not familiar with Samsung devices (I have two Sony :>)
I would like to ask you to help me chose the most stable and fully functional custom ROM.
At the moment she has stock JB installed but it has some freezes and doesn't run very well.
What can you recommend? It doesn't have to be the nevest android.
I think I would chose between SkimKat 4.4, CyanogenMod 11 by Team Canjica and VanirAOSP 4.4.4. I know those are very good custom roms.
Can you tell me if there are any issues with those? like reboots, not working features?
If you say custom ROMs, there is no ROM which is bug free but there are stable ROMs.
Stability depends on how and what you use. All 4.4 ROMs have reached to a state where you can use them for daily use.
I am Using CM11 nightly 20140614 and dont have any problems.
All the ROMs have their dev and Q/A threads, you can check them for the most stable builds and the working/non working functionality.
Try the latest vanir aosp its fast, fluid and stable...
For me its the most stable rom yet
Well SlimKat seems to be bugless.
VanirAOSP has some bugs with SystemUI
Go for the slimkat(final). It's the smoothest, fastest rom for our phone.

Test all roms to see which rom fit for you
CM 10.1
Wysłane z WOO-Phablecika 4.2.2...
Vanir is the best!
AOKP 4.2.2 by PV after uninstalling and reinstalling calendar is stable.
Wysłane z AOKP-fonika 4.2.2...
I'd have to go with Vanir. Everything just works and lag is virtually non-existent. The only downside I can see is slightly shorter battery life (could be just my phone though). One advantage that i love is it has it's own updater so it's not much of a hassle to get the latest fixes and improvements!
Another option for her would be to stay with stock JB bit change her kernel to CoCore.

More performance = more battery drain.
@lozohcum : How old is she? She want a girl theme too?
After testing almost every ROM, i think that CM10.1 is the most stable(with good battery backup)...
Liquid smooth 3.2 smooth as liquid with all customizations
just battery backup is 15 to 17 hr is matter

Yeah, you should try this. Cm 10.1 is awesome!
I think u can choose between VanirAOSP or AOSP from j.team.. The last one is disscontinued but its 90% finished and 100% stable.
U can choose one of them, or, simpli, test both because testing is the only (exactly) way to know if ROM is for you (or sister).
See all!

[Q] Which rom is actually installed on your beloved One S ?

I just read that BeanStalk development has been stopped for the One S. That made me curious about if anyone has ever used the rom and which roms and kernels are actually preferred by other One S users. AOSP or Sense, better stable or better bleeding edge?
I was on CM12, but was tired of the lack of customization. I'm currently on Ressurrection Remix, but while it works fine on this old phone, the bluetooth stops working when wifi is connected (and vice versa). Not sure why this is happening, so I may go to other ROMs to try to find one where it works, but otherwise RR has been pretty good for me.

That is interesting, I thought it's my battery that is just dying. How much better is battery life on 4.2.2?
I really like CM 12.1 its fast and stable, but that battery life maaan... It's 12-24h max for me/ or 2,5-3 hours of screen time.

Are the 6.0 roms stable?

Wondering whether to upgrade my buddy's phone to 6.0 or not. He uses it for work sometimes so prefer not to have any reboots. How has you guys experince been with 6.0 roms? Any specific stable one you would recommend? Thanks.

NuclearAndroidProject is pretty stable, and for me it works better than Lollipop ever has.
Been using Sultanxda's 6.0 from 06/11 as primary ROM. its been stable and smooth so far. here the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...m-kernel-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3242700
Using Sultan's 6.0 rom, daily patches. Overall pretty smooth experience.
Sultans 6.0 is smooth and stable. It can also be used as daily driver. The only bug I had was the video recordings. All the videos recorded had no sync of audio and video so I popped down to 5.1.1 Blisspop rom. Otherwise it's a good rom to try and use as daily driver.

Using AOSParadox right now. I have not experienced a single reboot or deal breaking bug (at least for me).
I'm interested too....I know that Cyanogen plans to go out in January with 13CM based on 6.0 but in the meanwhile I'd like to give it a go, especially to solve the audio recording problem.
Any suggestions?

I was really scared about flash M, and the last week i made and was a really good decision. Its not 100% stable, but it works really smooth and the battery life its much better than L.
I'm using SultanXDA build.
I am on CM official nightlies with boeffla kernel.. Not 100% stable, I would say. you may find some random crashes, no random reboots so far.. but it is fast, smooth, not that battery hog and can be used as a daily driver.
