Hi, not sure if this goes here but here it goes.
I have installed Android L on my Nexus 5, I downloaded the official image from the google developer's site, but as I am looking at pictures (specifically comparisons between KK and L like this http://www.talkandroid.com/211731-check-out-a-visual-comparison-of-android-l-versus-android-kitkat/) I find that there are many things that I dont have, for example a gallery, my android L did not bring a gallery .. or apps like Gmail, keep, etc still look holo blue or KK style not like the nice pictures in many websites showing a new interface.. so to touch base it seems I am running L but the GApps are still KK. Could I have missed to do something at install or what could it be?

Is there any VPN working on Android L? I can't even log into my Google account and restore my apps in China because everything Google is now blocked....Hola doesn't work, fqrouter doesn't work either. I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with it.
Thanks.
Um you do know that L is a developer preview edition, not necessarily ready for daily use...? I would read thru a bunch of the L threads already out there there might be a hack

I had the same problem. I use VyprVPN for China and couldn't even log into my account. Tried to set it up manually and also failed.
Please use the dedicated L thread

Are u kidding Me? Go back and re-read ur post, let alone the fact u posted in the completely wrong section, ur post is ludacris, 1) The released image from Google named "L" is a "DEVELOPER PREVIEW" meaning not for daily use, it even states in the warning message printed on the site that not everything works! 2)Google released this so DEVELOPERS can have a look at the new architecture and structure of the new OS, this release has over 5k new APIs devs need to get used to, a completely new runtime that replaced dalvik, meaning ALL those apps that are not ART compatible WILL NOT work on the new OS and need to be rewritten. This PREVIEW release wasn't so that every Nexus 5/7 owner could get an update before everyone else, it was aimed at getting DEVS a first look and feel at the new APIs and runtime so they could be ready with apps and scripts supporting the new OS when it's released IN Fall. 3) To answer ur questions on why some apps don't work, because they probably are not art compatible, what u need to do is go back to 4.4.4, an actual release, and wait for "L" to be officially released, and here's my official answer and suggestions, DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT PREVIEW IMAGES, L IS NOT A FINISHED RELEASE, WILL HAVE BUGS, AND DOES NOT SUPPORT ALL CURRENT APPS AND APIs, IF U WANT A COMPLETE AND STABLE OS, GO BACK TO KITKAT.
In the future, only post actual development in the Development sections.
Also, your discussion should just continue in the existing thread referenced here:

Hello,
I am a fairly new developer (I developed a few apps for iOS in Objective-C). I am looking to get the APK file for the Android L Contacts/People app (I am developing a contacts related app). I tried extracting the L Developer Preview image with no luck. I also found this post which didn't help either: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796019. I can give more detail if needed. Also, I can't download the L Preview in Eclipse; Maybe I have to do an update?
Thanks,
Nathaniel S.
Hi guys!
Small question, or rather clarification needed.
With Android L Preview installed on device will I get all upcomming release updates or stable, final version will require me to perform clean install?
I am just curious if Android L was really released for N5 or Preview version is really something totally different...

Please post in this thread.
Note: When the final Android 5.0 system image becomes available, it will be posted on the Factory Images for Nexus Devices page. To continue development (and receive future system updates), you should update your device with that image as soon as possible.

Good afternoon, well, out of curiosity, I ended up installing Android L (LPX13D) on my Nexus 5, no problems so far, until testing the L Camera app.
The pictures, when taken in .JPG, are normal, without any problems.
But when active Burst Mode to take photos in .DNG format, they end up getting strange, without showing part of the image, as can be seen in the attachments
I wonder if by chance, someone else would have the same problem using the same app, or if it would be a problem in the camera (hardware fault).
Sorry for my bad english, and thanks !
Its RAW images. You need app that can read RAW images. Such as Photoshop or Nikon ViewNX
