Database Info

Picture with any camera app is black.

Hi., experiencing an issue with my sensation. When I the camera and take a picture, the saved file is black. No picture. But the camera is working fine. Can read bare codes.
I'm using CM9 RC1
If anyone have an idea, please tell me.

Hello all,
I have the same problem as you with my camera. The Gallery isn't displaying my pictures from my camera. it started out with some of them just being black and saying no thumbnail when i would select it. When I open one of it in the gallery, only "loading" appears.
Somebody heard about this issue? I have this problem since last Thursday. I'm using cm9 nightly build.
I try a full wipe but no effect on it...

New camera apps still access the same base camera apk.
So you might have a borked camera apk. You could flash a new one.
Or if you have a custom ROM or kernel something in the rom or kernel might be bad. Try reflashing the kernel, then try a different kernel, then reflash the rom, then try a different rom.
Though i doubt the kernel is at fault since you can read bar codes. It sounds like the camera isnt converting its images to files. That could be a apk issue or a rom issue

I try to reflash the rom with a full wipe, no effect... Is the kernel flashed when a rom is flashed (For me a kernel is present inside a ROM, isn't? ) ? If not, which Kernel I have to use?

I tried with another Kernel : the Kernel Bricked 3.0 v1.4 but doesn't change anything. How can I find a stock camera app apk?

+1 Nobody has the same problem as us?

I tried with CM10 rom and the same problem. So the problem is not related to a specific ROM and not related to a kernel.
What's the problem?

+1 here, cm9 && cm10 not working, miui based on stock kernel working
on cm9 && cm10 the camera preview works fine,

I've the same problem, I am pretty sure my camera is fine. It can take the photo even in preview the photo is fine, but it cant save the photo , it just a black image with a exclamation sign, not only this there are other problems too like , with youtube app I cant watch videos, with gallery apps the videos ( that i took before) are blue shaded and not clear and laggy , but with mx player both videos are working fine, Tried a lot of roms , in MIUI rom youtube can play videos also gallery playback is fine , but the camera problem is still there , tried a lot other roms too like ahrd , viper, revelation , aokp, cm10, etc etc, only with miui youtube and gallery playback works flawlessly. Any solution anyone ?? please ? I changed the sd card too, nothing.

after unlocking and flashin 4ext and a new rom my camera looks fine, but doesn't save the pictures... anyone any idea please?
i really miss my camera!!!

I even went to stock rom, still my problem persists . I guess its problem with 2D GPU thing, cause even in weather app when I click on demo the sense weather thing doesnt work. Sometimes it takes a picture but with serious bluish tint.

i tried a couple that came up in search, one aborted installation, the others just don't work. i know it was in previous builds of synergy, would love to be able to still have that mod. does anyone have it or know how i can get it? also kindacrap mods is buggy with r118 get fc with settings.

ill try them out, thank you. I tried to pull the camera from one of the older synergy builds that had the feature but guess it's not compatible with jb cause it won't work.

HDR moto camera apk

Im in desperate need of the stock moto JB camera from the razr hd, i cant seem to find it anywhere. i pulled the camera/gallery2 apks from a stock rom, but the camera didnt have hdr. pulling from a backup i had of stock, i just couldnt get them to work. does anyone have a working apk/install method for the stock camera with hdr? the 1+ second delay between pictures in the 4.2 camera on my rom is driving me insane

that's weird... i have the 3 of them working on my HD, I really don't have any idea of what could be the problem.. sorry

Many AOSP based ROMs aren't compatible with blur based apps. I think it has something to do with the libs.

HTC one M9 camera ported for Aosp ROMs!

Wanted to share this find after going through many cameras trying to match stock lg and this is by far the best one.. Works very well and pics are very good..

Works pretty darn good, in my humble opinion. Only thing that I've noticed so far is that the resolution option is described as "low" no matter if you're setting it to the highest. It seems to be a cosmetic issue only.

Will check to see if your panorama works.. Just want to make sure it not only me.

The camera seems nice. The problem I have is the patch.zip fails while attempting to flash using twrp. The first time I opened the camera it rebooted my phone. I am on official CM12 nightly for my D800.

I'm on aicp latest d800 lollipop build, 2.8.5.1 blastegator twrp and the resolution patch flashed for me.

Current ROMs which include the stock Samsung camera app from Stock ROM?

So with Galaxy S7 not recieiving updates for awhile, thought i'd update it with custom ROMs, tried LineageOS etc
First thing i noticed was the camera app they replaced the OG with the quality is awful (in photos and videos)
Did some research and came across LightROM which is based on OneUI 1.0 and includes the great stock Samsung camera app
Sadly this ROM stopped recieving updates since 2020
Is there no other currently updated ROM that includes the good camera app or somehow i missed?

Sadly I haven't, tomorrow I plan to put my S7 back to stock ROM again just need to find guide somewhere how to do that, somehow can't find it

It uses stock camera.
However, I am struggling with IME and babaseband issue. When you do be careful.
