I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by scott.hart.bti. This is a build composed off of the CM builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
This Build doesnt contain the new cmparts as im sure they will be implemented in future releases!

Hmmm.... I'll try it as soon as I can get a (working) CM on this device. BTW,which recovery do you use?

Installed this ROM last night along with 4.4.4 gapps and its the best ROM I've tried so far!!! thankyou so much for your hard work.
I have found a bug however, using the app snapchat the camera is zoomed in and when I try to take a picture the app crashes and force closes, any ideas on a fix? I'm looking into it.

that would've been my first option too lol thanks, im in the process of setting up my new linux distro now for ROM development(old one wasn't acting nice with my pc) but while I was compiling this build on the old distro I had to manually implement our device specific files so there's definitely quite a few files and or libs missing, nothing that cant be fixed though lol on another note id be happy to give test builds to anyone who wants to help me with bugs and fixes to make this an even better ROM :good::laugh:

I'd be happy to test new builds, just pm me the link when your done and I'll give feedback very quickly (Y)

I tried flashing this ROM in an attempt to resolve the video issues I experience with 4.4.2, but with no luck.
As with HashCode's KitKat, all video processing that I can find (youtube, bowser-based HTML5 video, etc) locks up and fails shortly after a reboot. I just tried a clean flash - wiped everything, installed this ROM and then GApps, and youtube shows the same behavior:
Boot up.
Videos play fine
Pause video
Allow tablet to lock
Wake tablet
Watch in dismay as youtube times out and stops trying to play any videos until you reboot again.
Just for funsies, I tried this, too:
Reboot tablet
Allow tablet to lock
Wake tablet
Open youtube
This played without issue - it loaded an advertisement, allowed me to skip it, and then played the video I'd selected.
I then stopped the video, killed the app, and allowed the tablet to lock. When I woke it up and launched Youtube, the videos would not play, showing the same behavior as before. It's like if the video functionality is (or has been) activated and the tablet times out, nothing short of a reboot will fix it.
Has anyone found a fix (or cause) for this?

ive just tried to reproduce your issue but honestly everything plays well for me, and i personally never experienced this with Hashcodes CM either. If you can get me a logcat of the issue maybe i can dig deeper into it for you. just incase>>How To Logcat

Been way out of touch with all this but tried to flash this to update from an age old CM11 build and stuck in TWRP now due to error "error executing updater binary in zip" when flashing! :S Is this something I can try to fix from here or will I need to drop back to an older ROM and update my recovery or maybe move to CWM?

yep in order to flash kitkat ROMs you have to update your twrp to the latest which is 2.7.0.0 check it out here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128848
then flash the ROM and your good to go

Damnedest thing - as soon as I turned on ADB Debugging to take a logcat the behavior stopped. I'll keep an eye on it and try it again if it resurfaces. I'll also try installing the other apps in which I encountered this behavior.
On the other hand, 4.4.4 is pretty sweet, so far.
UPDATE: Cannot update the included version of XPosed Framework. I get "An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed." This prevents XPrivacy from being installed.

Thanks very much for the response but after some headache inducing attempts I decided just to recover it back to factory defaults and I'll attempt to start from scratch tonight to get your ROM on my Kindle
My plan of attack would be use the QEMU tool for root, use Flasher tool to get TWRP 2.7 and then flash your ROM and GAPPS (which I will have already transferred to the root of my SD card).
My only concern is that I don't have a fastboot cable but when I orginally did my rooting and flashing about a year ago I didn't need it but has something changed?
Sorry for the pestering but its been a long while since I attempted this and there doesn't seem to be an "easy" option when it comes to the kindle compared to my Nexus 4 which was just built to be constantly reflashed it seems! haha

For me personally its best to have a fastboot cable on deck in case something does happen. I've had to use it a couple of times to get me out of a jam but when rooting and putting a custom recovery on it, I never had an issue and never had to use it . Its the same process as before, nothing has really changed except I believe updates from amazon to the stock ROM.

FYI
The only time I ever experienced this is when YouTube is installed as a system app regardless if I updated the app from the play store.
I usually uninstall the updates, remove YouTube from /system/app/, reboot device, install YouTube from play store.
As for html5 video in browser depends on the browser being used.

These ROMs are deodexed and based on an unofficial JLS36I AOKP ROM. There are many mods possible because it is an AOKP build, so customize and enjoy!
Others have tested these as much as possible, above and beyond. However, if someone finds a bug or error, please let me know. DO NOT PM me as others may have the same issue and it is better to answer it once here than a thousand times through PMs.
Please read this OP carefully before posting questions as many answers can be found here. Other answers may also already be in the posts of this thread...

KNOCKON
The KnockOn feature on these ROMs only works partially. A double-tap will turn on the lock screen, but a double tap will not turn off the screen. I have included a free lock widget that can easily be setup to give a more rounded KnockOn experience. To set the widget up, perform the following after flashing either ROM:
When you first boot into HeatshiverSX you will notice a small green power button widget off to the right. This is the widget to be used. Click on the app drawer.
Click on the "Lock Screen Widget" app.
Click on "Lock Icon Options".
Click on "Lock icon visibility".
Choose "Invisible on desktop" and click OK.
Click on "Lock icon size".
Make it as large as possible (80) and click OK.
OPTIONAL - Click "Lock icon style" and change the icon image. Click OK afterwards.
Exit the app to the desktop.
OPTIONAL - Click and hold the power button widget. Move it over the power button of the desktop background, but be quick as the power button widget will disappear after a few seconds...
Click the invisible power button widget once to lock the screen.
NOTE: The power button shows when clicked or when exiting from app to desktop.
Uninstall
To uninstall go into the "Lock Screen Widget" app first, then click and follow the "Uninstall guide" instructions before attempting to remove the app.
SUGGESTIONS
KnockOn - If you want a fuller KnockOn experience you have 4 options:
EASIEST - Use the included "Lock Screen Widget". Setup a transparent power button widget and place over the power button on the background (button shows when clicked or when exiting from app to desktop). Click the button once to lock the screen.
RECOMMENDED - Buy and download this app from the Play Store. It offers a widget with full transparency and uses a double-tap to lock the screen.
ALTERNATIVE 1: If you own Nova Launcher and Tasker, you can setup a shortcut for the double-tap feature.
ALTERNATIVE 2: Download this app and use a opaque widget to enable the KnockOn feature on any Android device.
Smaller/Hide Nav Bar(Soft Keys) - With AOKP the nav bar does not have the transparency the stock LG G2 launcher does. But, with AOKP, you have the ability to shrink or hide your Nav Bar and save that precious real estate! Go to Settings>ROM Control>Navigation Bar and choose "Navigation Bar height" to change the size (40DPI suggested), or check off "Enable Hidden Nav Bar" (or both).
NOTE: "Enable Hidden Nav Bar" acts like GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys, but without the double nav bar issue after a reboot.
QUESTIONS
What are the main differences between HeatshiverSX v1.0 and HeatshiverSX v2.0?
As noted above, the main difference is that v2.0 includes PA 4.4 Gapps. This increases the ROM size of v2.0 to about 370MB.
Will there be an odexed version
No. If not using an odexed version is a true worry, just remember, once the dalvik cache builds up on the deodexed version, there should be minimal - if any - performance difference. Which means after the first boot up (or any subsequent dalvik cache wipe), either versions' performance would be similar.
There's something I want, can you add it?
Maybe. It took a while to get HeatshiverSX v2.0 to work properly, so it depends on if I think it will benefit everyone, and how much it adds to the ROM. Post a request.
I want something that is in KK 4.4, can you add it?
Likely, no. I plan on making a 4.4 ROM in a bit, so there would be no point for me. But, you can always post a request and see.
Will this work with my variant?
If it is not listed, then NO. You can make a request for your variant in the thread. It'll move progress along if you also post a link to any custom ROM meant for your variant as well.
Why don't you use an AROMA installer?
I experimented with the newest version for my other ROM, but it is just overly convoluted with menu pages and could be confusing when trying to determine how to actually flash just the ROM. I had decent success with an older version, but in both versions, there were times where the installer would not go back to recovery and would cause a boot loop from not installing properly. The old methods are best.
I want such-and-such app, can you put it in the ROM?
Probably not, but if it is requested numerous times I might.
Is there different keyboards?
I only included the 4.4 keyboard as it was very similar to the 4.3 keyboard.
Can I flash this zip even though my recovery doesn't "lokify" items (e.g. kernels)?
You should be able to flash on any available recovery without issue.
What can I do with the custom kernel?
The custom kernel adds a lot to performance but here are a few things you can actually do with it: 1) You can undervolt. 2) You can change to newly added governors. 3) You can utilize zRAM. 4) You can calibrate screen colors. 5) You can OC CPU. 6) You can OC GPU.
Since you have KnockOn (kinda), can you include QuickRemote?
Ohhhh, I've been trying. I've tried a few different methods without true success. I tried this thread's version as well, but unfortunately it won't even show... If anyone gets a different APK to work, or some method to get the one in the aforementioned thread to work, send me a PM and I'll include it in a future update.
Can you include LG G2 themes or apps?
I may work on some G2 theming as an update, but G2-specific apps will be A LOT harder to accomplish.
ISSUES & FIXES
After First Boot - I am getting error messages that lead me back to the settings for date and time. What do I do?
Go into Settings>Apps>ALL and find Google Account Manager (and Keep if on HeatshiverSX v2.0). Click on the app and uncheck "Show notifications".
After First Boot - I am unable to open certain apps, and/or my time always resets to 1970 after a reboot. What do I do?
This is a two-part fix, one for correcting the date, the other for making it "persist" after each reboot:
Go to Settings>Date & time and uncheck "Automatic time zone". Change "Select time zone" to the correct time zone.
Go to your apps and open ClockSync. Click on the 3-dotted menu in the upper-right corner and click Sychronize. SU should appear. Select "Remember choice forever" then "Allow". Click on the 3-dotted menu again and click Settings. Scroll down to "Sync on boot" and check the corresponding box.
The AOSP keyboard is throwing up an error message all the time. What do I do?
This has started to occur since the LG keyboard was added. Go into Settings>Language & input, check off the "LG Keyboard" option, then change the "Default" to the LG keyboard.
The LG keyboard is in single-hand mode. What do I do?
There is a tiny keyboard icon on the bottom of the LG keyboard itself. Click that icon and choose the first option for dual-hand mode.
The sound seems very low. What do I do?
I use Wootever's kernels as I like his work, but I have been told that his kernel makes the sound lower. Download and flash Houstonn's kernel here, and it should instantly boost your sound.
I have tried to turn off the network speed on the status bar, but I can't. What do I do?
There is no on/off switch, but the network speed can be taken away altogether. Download this SystemUI.apk and install it over the current one. Make a backup of the original APK if seeing the network speed is desired later.
I want to update the Google Play Store in HeatshiverSX v1.x. What do I do?
There is no fix for this at the moment. You will need to flash HeatshiverSX v2.x if you want the current Google Play Store version.
INSTALLATION
1) Make a backup of your current ROM.
2) Do a Factory Reset.
3) Flash the zip.
4) After boot, there are two things you should setup to be issue free. They are both listed in ISSUES & FIXES...
NOTE: If you have any install issues, be sure to use a TWRP recovery!
MISC.
When you first install either ROM there will be a quick tutorial on how to use the KitKat launcher. It will show Hangouts as an example. There is an issue with Hangouts in HeatshiverSX v2.0 (possibly due to the 4.4 integration of SMS), so it has been left out and replaced with SMS.
Photosphere is installed in HeatshiverSX v2.0, however, it does not show. I will try to find a solution, however, I don't see it as an urgent need...
GPS can be enabled, but apps that use it tend to crash.
QuickWindow does not work on either ROM version.

Good to know, this may be because of the hosting as they have been making numerous changes, and I have a feeling that files aren't being fully uploaded properly. However, I still need to know which version you downloaded, which leads me to...
EDIT: Please also try downloading Woot's or Houstonn's AOSP kernels and flash those to see if that fixes the issue. I use Woot's, but if you re-flash the kernel and it doesn't work, then it is probably a hosting issue.
For everybody, please always read the ENTIRE OP. especially the SUPPORT section, I don't really like to have to prod people for more details. The more narrowed down your answer, the easier it is for me to discern where the problem lies and solve it. Thank you.

Thanks, Really looking forward to checking this out, I have been messing with a Note 2 I picked up (awaiting 4.3 leak or real to drop). Saw this and can't wait to come back with the G2....
Okay, I re-uploaded both versions as "Newest" in the OP. Please try them out and post your results. I would appreciate if @benlee337 or @razrlover would try these and see how they fare.
If the phone doesn't boot - or the screen stays black - this normally suggests a kernel issue. Although, it is likely to be a bad download/upload from the hosting given my history with my current service...
Any uploads for ROMs take me forever, so any changes will never be immediate.
Ok will do. Thanks brother!

I downloaded the new 2.4 twice and installed twice with the same result. It seems like there may be something wrong with the installation process. Other roms takr almost 5 minutes to install but this one is done installing after 45 seconds both times. I don't get an error or anything. Same black screen though. Thanks for working on this. I downloaded this before you made it for the 801 with Houston's kernal and it worked just wasnt able to edit apn. Looking forward to use it after these issues are worked out. Thanks. Your work is much appreciated

Wipe cache, dalvik, data, system. Then install ROM 2.4, banks gapps core 11/2, then su 1.75 zip. = no issues! Profit

HeatshiverSX v1.5 & v2.5 are now available with some important fixes! I'll be taking a small break from this ROM in order to work on my other ROM and ports.
@benlee337 @razrlover - I didn't notice this before but it seems both of you are using D802, or at least according to your XDA app signatures (razrlover's displays this on the previous page). This is the D801 port for T-Mobile, the D802 version resides in the D802 forum we now have.
@razrlover - It is odd you got it to work if you do have a D802, but kudos for the good work!
Which version of gapps necessary for this rom?
I'm on T-Mobile 801 and want to test this rom out.
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
@Heatshiver I am on d801! However because of Houston's aosp kernel zip D801 users can use D802 aosp ROMs or cm/ pa based then flash aosp kernel for d801 afterwards.

Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat

A Note about the Team OctOs GApps
We in Team OctOs believe in choices. We believe in leaving the fundamental decisions about your phone to you.
In that spirit, Team OctOs gives you options for your GApps experiences. While any ODEX'ed GApps package should work, we offer you the choice of using some of the same GApps packages that we use ourselves, and leave the choice up to you.
You can find our Team OctOs GApps packages here, and break down into the following types:
GPe - Google Experience
Regular GPe GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced GPe GApps
AOSP
AOSP GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced AOSP GApps
The Dalvik-Enhanced packages are NOT ART compatible. If you plan to run ART, don't use those.

While we are certainly not requiring donations or money. But donations of money or devices will certainly speed along development. We plan to purchase and build 3 identical servers to be able to handle the work load of building our ROMs. Hosting, Electricity, and Parts alone are out of pocket at this point. But we love what we do. So, if you feel led to send us a device(even old ones you've moved on from, or new ones) or small donations towards our server project we'd be extremely appreciative. Just saying hello. We are here to be different and to tell noobs what they need to hear.
Our mission statement is REAL AOSP(not CM)+GPE+OctSettings = Team-OctOS.
Enjoy the ROM. We as a team are ever expanding and are working on adding more devices daily. Treken and I are normally nose deep in code. So don't expect us to be around non stop.
Just tried flashing with the latest twrp and it failed.
Just got it running. Looks pretty nice. One feature request. Would it be possible to use the aokp nav bar vs. The cm navbar? I'm asking because I like to add a few custom apps to the nav bar (eg phone, hangouts) so I don't need to use launcher space for them.
Thank you for the build, much appreciated. Its always good to see new ROMs for a device.

@Calvin check to see if signatures are needed on twrp under twrp advanced settings. I had that issue with omnirom. My first boot didn't get past the Samsung logo, but rebooting started right up.

We don't use CM's Trebuchet launcher. We use aosp but our gapps replaces with Google launcher. Sometimes I use Nova which is free and has many options as a free alternative.

So far so good. I used PHilZ recovery to flash and no issues, just flashed the ROM and Gapps, said no to root the device and then let sit. i then setup my account and then rebooted and flashed the 1.86 SU update zip in recovery and all is working well. I like the cleanliness of having the mods all under dev settings. Using KT's kernel (just because I'm used to it) and his settings. Good to see a nice AOSP rom over here. I might need to read up some on davlik optomized apps. Great work and thanks for sharing your work
No joy with attempts to download.

Us cellular and Sprint the only files showing on the site? Maybe they are uploading new ones. The ROM ran smooth just didn't care for the gapps missing the messaging app, I don't care for using hangouts for messaging.

Messaging app is still packed with the ROM, hangouts gives you the option of using it, but you can turn it off.
The builds are coming. We had some updates to include and I'm writing thru the build outs now. They'll be up once as they complete.

Appreciate the explanation of what's going on. The reason I said that about the messaging is because I never saw a messaging app icon in the drawer. I did see two phone icons? I will probably wait until the new release b4 I flash again. I really loved the ROM it was butta, and that's a fact Jack.

Two phone icons is because GPe gapps has the Google dialer. Need to keep the original dialer or it doesn't work.
As for the messaging app, you're right. Dubbsy may have removed it, I'll ask him

I am really digging the rom with the clean look and especially what the other person mentioned about all of the options being in the development menu. It really gives it that stock feel. I am so excited about Octo now that I have fire up the old Kubuntu side and am Repo syncing right now . Keep up the great work and of course my next stop is rating the thread.

So everything is running great. I love the rom. HOWEVER! One thing that I haven't been able to tackle yet is that is not sleeping for me.
"PowerManagerService.Wakelocks" is keeping it up 24/7. I have no idea what this is. Granted, I woke up checked BBS and now got to work so I haven't had too much time to google it up but I thought I would post here if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks!
Edit: Oh and I'm sorry but the boot animation is just god awful . No biggy at all. Easy to change. Just saying haha
2nd Edit: Flashed Uber Kernel and it's sleeping like a baby. PowerManagerService.Wakelocks is still there obviously but not nearly as high as it was. Also, I was getting wlan_rx_wake. Since flashing Uber, it's gone. Weird (maybe not, I know nothing about kernels). Anyways, that's all. If anyone still has any comments regarding the power manager wakelock it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

PowerManagerService.Wakelocks is a container for everything under Partial Wakelocks, so you would have to look under there for the app that is causing the program.

Thank you for the reply.
I had read that in my google searches. But it just doesn't seem right. I'm not doubting you in any way, it just doesn't make sense.
Example: right now its at roughly say 2min 30 secs. Under partial the highest wakelock is RILJ and bluetooth at a whopping 20 secs and and 10 seconds. After that I have a couple others that are 1s and 3 secs. I don't even hit the 40s mark collectively.
Regardless everything is running fantastic. Even my bluetooth doesn't cut out anymore. Really amazing work!
I having issues getting this rom to boot.
I tried using the 1/25 build that's posted here and the PA gapps. I tried the full gapps, but that was apparently too big for the Skyrocket system partition, so I ended up using the Modular-Mini gapps. I double checked the MD5 hashes and they apparently mach. The two zips flash without issue, but as soon as I go to boot it up, I get a black screen and then a quick vibrate and i see the SAMSUNG logo. After which it sits at a black screen.
The first time around I tried using TWRP, but that recovery is apparently incompatible. I did a little research and found CM11 roms should be flashed using CWM. I flashed PhilZ's Touch CWM for CM11 and tried flashing again and I still can't get the ROM to boot. I'm pretty sure I followed the directions correctly. What am I missing here?
edit: I just noticed it does finally boot in. However, I'm seeing artifacting and corruption to the point where everything is barely recognizable. If I would venture a guess, I think my refresh rate is off? I've never seen anything like this... I can definitely interact with it, I was able to get it to reboot using the power menu.

this is happening to quite a few people on newer 4.4 roms, regardless of recovery or wipe routine used. The only "new" ROM I got to boot is the brand new 1/27 hellkat. Not sure what the cause is but hopefully the latest CM merge(s) will rectify this issue..can't wait to try this rom!!

Wow I've been using this rom since you put it out and you just made it way better and it was already incredibly smooth and stable for me, amazing job, keep it up!!
Anyone know where the lockscreen blur is? Maybe I'm just an idiot but I can't find it. I think it's in there from reading the changelog...

keep in mind guys this is the first build....after flash it does take some time for initial bootup ( about 5 mins or more) after that the phone boots up fast and runs just fine....please be sure to always read bug list in op as it may change frequently....Also this build is running my lollipop updated B14CKB1RD kernel...enjoy
Edit: I highly recommend a clean flash coming from ANY rom
Gah! I can't wait! Rev3n you keep this device alive and are a super cool dude!
wow, no lollygagging around here... just lolipoppin! (ok yeah that was bad)
even though i just wiped and redid my phone on thursday, i may give this a shot. when you say "built in camera" is that the google camera that does photosphere, or just the plain camera app from aosp? in cm11m7, camcorder in google camera wasn't working for me, but the plain camera app DOES work for camcorder. not that i shoot that much video, but i do have kids so it's great to be able to capture them saying those "damndest things"
and slightly off topic - is there a way to make google camera save to the external SD rather than internal?
one more question - will apps backed up via Titanium from 4.4.2 work in 5.x? the only one i really concerned about is Touchdown for my work email. it's a royal pain in the (ahem) to configure and get talking to the servers at work, so for me it's easiest to simply back it up and restore it each time i wipe the phone. didn't have any issues going from JB to KK but since this is a major version increment i thought i'd ask.

On another device, I've backed up apps under a 4.4.4 ROM via Titanium, flashed a 5.0.x ROM, and restored the apps via Titanium on the 5.0.x ROM. Almost all apps restored fine and worked fine.
Certain apps, themselves, are not 5.0.x-compatible, and I don't know about Touchdown. But in general, this should work.
I'll soon be flashing this ROM and restoring my own Titanium-backed-up-from-4.4.4 apps. I'll let you know how it works.

good to hear, thanks. i was concerned with art vs dalvik - can't remember whether they said art was the default in L, but i guess as long as it can fall back to dalvik for "legacy" apps that don't support art, or art isn't the default, then it's all good.
---------- Post added at 10:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 AM ----------
also - hooray for minimal GAPPS! I hate how i ahve to go thru and disable so much stuff i don't want (G+, hangouts, music, books, etc etc) on what should be a nice clean, bloat-free load. all i want is play and gmail. everything else i can restore from titanium or grab from f-droid or play.
Yes, ART is the default in Lollipop, and most apps don't know (nor even care) whether the underlying JVM is Dalvik or ART. That's at too low a level.
Incompatibilities between 4.x.x and 5.0.x in apps are not usually due to Dalvik versus ART, but rather, to other, higher-level differences between those two OS versions. Some apps make use of OS capabilities that have changed or gone away in 5.0.x.
But in my experience, most of the 120+ apps I use work fine, both in 4.4.4 and 5.0.x.
One notable exception are the Xposed routines. Xposed is one of the few frameworks that is indeed Dalvik-specific. That's because it hooks into the OS at a very low level. Xposed is currently not functional in Lollipop, and it may never be.

Trying this ROM.
I downloaded it, went into TWRP, did a clean wipe (cache, Dalvik, system, data), installed Validus-LP-v7.0-2015-02-02-validus_apexqtmo.zip and installed gapps-L-minimal-signed-1-19-15.zip.
Upon booting, it was sitting the boot animation for something like 10 minutes, with no apparent progress.
So instead of rebooting directly from TWRP, I completely shut down and then booted from scratch.
I recommend shudown-restart after flashing, instead of rebooting directly from recovery.
The ROM came up after something like 5 minutes of the howling wolf (the bootanimation screen), so be patient during this first boot.
The ROM looks good!
After booting, I configured the ROM, and then I restored my apps via Titanium (backed up from a 4.4.4 ROM). All but a handful of the apps restored fine, and most of them are running.
In my experience, if an app is incompatible with 5.0.x, its Titanum restore will hang forever. In this case, I've had to shut down the device (because I don't know how to abort a running Titanium restore), go back to Titanium, remove the offending app from the restore list, and then redo the restore.
Even though Xposed doesn't work under Lollipop, almost all of my Xposed apps restored fine via Titanium. It's just that the Xposed framework will not come up.
Anyway ... GREAT WORK!!!
Onward!
.
with any new rom, i like to try it as-is for a bit without really tweaking things. i'll try out the default launcher (unless i've used it before and know i hate it, ie: trebuchet... i prever nova), i'll try out the stock messaging app, notification settings, etc. of course i'll always end up changing something... even in windows 7 (and 8.x and win10 preview) i changed the default taskbar button behavior to never combine and always show text - more like XP. for me, it's quicker to see the name of whatever window i'm looking for, since i never have fewer than 8 windows open at any time unless i'm just playing a game on steam or something.
i've just backed everything up and am about to try flashing this rom myself. should be interesting!
FYI: I brought up the Nova launcher (which is what I used under 4.4.4). It works fine.

I'm very happy with this ROM. Great work by REV3NT3CH!!
One issue:
The "Show brightness slider" entry in Settings->Notification drawer doesn't turn off. If it is clicked off, it gets turned on again, automatically, and the brightness slider remains in the notification drawer.
Some nice-to-haves:
1. Allow the "Bottom corners shortcuts" to be disabled on the lockscreen, or allow them to be reassigned to something like "Do nothing". I absolutely do not want to access anything from the lockscreen, except the unlock button. I know I can hack this functionality by writing a do-nothing app with a transparent or all-black icon, installing it, and then assigning it to both bottom corner shortcuts. However, it would be nice to have the option of completely disabling these corner shortcuts.
2. Provide a notification-bar tile for switching between sound and vibrate-only mode. A power-menu button for that purpose would be a good alternative.
3. Allow an optional date to the left of the status-bar time field.
4. Allow us to change the color of the status-bar icons such as time, battery indicator, network indicator, etc.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
.
Problem with detection of physical keyboard.
Unfortunately, I hit a "show stopper"
Although the physical keyboard works, 3rd-party keyboard programs such as SwiftKey, Velocity, etc. do not detect that there is a physical keyboard. When using them with the physical keyboard open, the on-screen keyboard pops up. I can still use the physical keyboard to enter text, however.
In other words, the physical keyboard works, but its existence is not detected by 3rd-party keyboard apps.
.
Well, awesome Rev, I'm using this ROM all day and battery and performance are amazing, I never use camcorder, so all is working great for me.
Thank you very much for keep relay alive

Looks like the dreaded GPS bug continues to haunt me, phone reboots after opening Google Maps and GPS test.
I'm also noticing that there isn't a way to sync the Calendar app. Under accounts -> sync, I only see "App Data, Contacts, People Details". When opening the calendar app, it asks me for my username and attempting to use the same Google account results in the app complaining that this account already exists on this device.

I'll second this. when i use a pattern lock, i want the pattern to appear immediately when i press power to unlock the device. I don't want to have to slide to make the dots appear. I can certainly see the utility in having shortcuts there, but personally, for ease of use (esp in the car) please make that optional.
still playing with it, getting all my options set up, but so far it looks nice. thanks for your hard work!
Does this version of Lollipop enable Bluetooth 4.0's peripheral mode?
ok so i tried letting google restore my apps before i used titanium. that was a mistake and a waste of time. so i told titanium to uninstall everything i had a backup for so i could reinstall from backup proper. after that, i noticed that adaway and nova launcher were still there, and apparently they're system apps. adaway included in the rom? sweet! that said, i think i'll do a factory reset and NOT restore from google backup this time since i've sort of made a mess of things.
i know i did a wipe before and after flashing the rom, but it was weird how some of the settings were already where i wanted them, such as the default ringtone and notification sound.
one other tiny glitch i noticed tho - first time i went into sound options, the toggle for linking notification volume to ringer volume was set to off, but the volume slider for notif volume was grayed out till i turned the toggle on then off again.
also, how hard to disable or change the shutdown animation? i don't mind the pulsating wolf boot logo (which btw i thought was a Klingon bird of prey lol), but the skulls are not my style. would rather have a simple spinning circle or just a static "Shutting down..." text than that. but maybe i'm just being picky.
Yeah, I can confirm. Any time I go to use a program that has GPS, I go into reboot.
Edit: Oddly enough video recording works in snapchat, though that occasionally goes into reboot.
Edit2: It seems the apps don't immediately go into reboot that use GPS, but after about 20 seconds they do. I think I actually got a lock on my gps location.
Weird...GPS works great here...I'll look into it though I suggest not restoring apps especially from tibu as it is very issue some in lollipop...the gapps I linked are recommended but slims mini package works well too...gapps can play a vital role...also...if more issues arise with twrp try cwm...just in case...also as well....the first bootup will take a little bit...even though it may not seem like it will boot...just let it sit and do its thing until it does boot...I highly recommend against shutting down on initial first boot as that too can cause issues...but hey not bad for first release

PixelExperience for Nexus 7 2013 [Flo]
What is this?
Pixel Experience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation)
Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential and useful features for the proper functioning of the device
Based on Android 10.0 Q
Known issues:
- Navigation bar glitches sometimes.
- Since it's Android Q you may have problems with certain apps not working properly. You will have to tell the developer of the certain app to update their app to be compatible with Android Q. This is not a problem with the ROM.
- I REPEAT DO NOT FLASH ANY GAPPS package with the ROM as they are already included in the ROM.
- Setup wizard has been fully fixed so you will now see it at first boot!
- Chrome force closing issue is still present. Use an alternate browser like firefox or dolphin. Hopefully will be fixed in next build.
- You tell us!
Instructions:
- Make sure your device system partition is repartitioned to at least 1.3gb if you have at least this or anything higher you don't have to do this. There is a thread made by Clamor that can help you with this.
- Download ROM zip and reboot to twrp recovery.
- Wipe everything except internal storage and reboot recovery.
- Flash ROM and DO NOT FLASH GAPPS as they are already included!
- Reboot into ROM and then reboot back into TWRP & flash Magisk 20.4 to get root and reboot and enjoy!
There are two downloads for Flo below. One is the stock dpi build (320) which has the screen density not changed. The other one is the 480 custom phone dpi so you get a bigger screen density size and the items on the screen are bigger. Please download and choose the one you prefer.

Thank you so much for building Pixel Experience 10 for this device
Just flashed it, the DPI seems a little bit weird (like a phone DPI), I changed the DPI in Developer Settings and the wallpaper seems to glitch (the default Pixel wallpaper was changed to AOSP default wallpaper). Applying the Pixel wallpaper in wallpaper settings after changing DPI solved the issue.
Android Setup, Chrome and Google App seem to be missing.
Chrome seems to have problem playing videos while other browsers work fine (the same problem on followmsi's December AEX build)
Other stuff run smoothly and wonderfully. Thanks again!

Chrome and the Google app you can just download from the play store. They had to be removed because the rom wouldn't build due to not enough space in the system partition that got set to 1.5gb. There is no setup wizard because its not working on any android Q ROMS properly right now so thats a source issue i cannot fix. So as of right now there is no setup wizard when the ROM boots up. Glad you enjoy the ROM I have it set to phone dpi because i like the bigger screen.
Wow! Finally! The best 10 rom so far!
Thanks for another amazing work!
I just need one thing... I need advanced reboot menu! I can't use my vol button to reboot recovery! I'm getting crazy here! I just can't flash magisk without advance reboot menu!?

You can use this app to reboot recovery without requiring root. Just open the app and type reboot recovery. It should then boot into your twrp recovery without using root. Then there you can flash magisk 20.1. Wait up to a minute though for it to reboot into recovery though. Sorry for the first ignore post xda labs acts wierd and improperly on android 10 so i had to use chrome instead.

Chrome seems to have problems with video playing.
I googled and used "HTML5 Video Test Page" to test video playing and only WebM type can be successfully played (YouTube mobile website seems to work fine).

Did you get magisk installed?
Oh and another android Q ROM is coming today
Its Aicp 15.0 Q and i will be making the thread shortly.
Happy new year i appreciate the kind comments you leave me. It really means a lot and it is why i keep making roms for you all
Yes magisk running fine all smooth!
I love pixel experience for gapps included and the new styles app!
Finally native Android colors accents and dark mode!
#About the phone DPI
I used the default phone DPI for some time and found that some apps seem to not working property with the default phone DPI.
For example, in the Files app, when you try to rename something, the file name input box is covered.
Also, some apps consider this device as tablet so these apps switch to tablet UI. As a result, the app's elements are extra large that make the app unusable.
For example, some presentation app failed to switch to phone UI and make it unable to add text boxes.
Also, some drawing apps failed to switch to phone UI which makes the toolbox as large as half of the board.
So I think maybe it is better to use tablet UI as default while advanced users can still change DPI in Developer Settings.
#About Chrome video playing black screen
followmsi reverted the changes in media_codecs.xml on GitHub (last time QCOM avc decoder was dropped) which seems to have solved the Chrome video playing issue
#About Camera app missing
Camera was disappeared in Pixel Launcher (haven't tried other launchers) and can't be opened in App Settings (there is no "Open" option)
Having used this ROM for several days and your work is quite amazing! Thank you again for giving us Pixel Experience 10 and wish you a happy new year

Thank you i will take your thoughts into consideration. I don't use the files app or even any presentation apps so i havent seen those problems but i will be making two seperate builds sometime this month or next month when the new pe source changes come in. The first build will be the custom 480 dpi and the second build will be the stock dpi (320). You can download the one you want and you will be able to tell which one is which from the name.
Look out another android Q ROM is coming for flo:
