Force closes
Hi there, I can't seems to be able to use the launcher because it is force closing,
What i did was,
1. I downloaded the zip and unzipped the apks,
2. Move all the apks to system/app,
3. Set all permissions to RW-R--R-- (including the home.apk).
Yet it's force closing, kindly advice :fingers-crossed:!

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S. Will try to follow your advice, and report if there's improvement!
How many grids on homescreen and the appdrawer? I have the nexus 4, and it would be pretty wierd if its only 5x3 or less

Still force closes after following your advice. I wiped cache, dalvik cache and fixed permissions. Still the same, any idea?

I'm using HTC One X, move the apps in System/Apps with Root Explorer and set permissions to rw-r--r--, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and still crash.

Gahhh no wonder it force closes, it's due to the screen resolution/dpi . Well hope u can come up with an update that supports multi-resolution :good:!
GALAXY s3 does not work. Fc.
works on my galaxy s duos, perfect.
but maybe lack of dependence component, like the gallery, then the theme chooser not working, and wallpaper chooser not working ,cause fc!

Oppo Launcher: Has really cool Weather based animation ovelays which can be placed above any wallpaper. Its like HTC Sense Weather animation in homescreen. For now you can only add Oppo based Widgets. Adding any other widget is giving FCs.
Notes: Working smoothly. Can't open settings though.
Clock & Calender Widget: Only in Oppo launcher
Compass: Works fine.
Not Working:
Music & Gallery: I guess it requires Oppo Framework
Weather: Unable to add Location.
Contacts and Phone: Its giving Name conflict with Samsung Contacts and Phone App.

The weather and contact didn't work...the launcher works great..no crashes at all....One issue I face with every stock ported launcher is the icons look blurred and are too massive. I have tried Xpose Module but no luck...never did what I wanted it to do...
How did the OP get a digital clock..I am getting an analogue clock..there are no options to switch too...

It's been a while, but I believe that I last used the following weather app without issues.
I just rar'd the two files (OppoWeather1.apk & OppoWeatherLocationService.apk). Not sure if I used the weather app without installing the location service along with it, but you can try it (or both).

remove the msging icon from dock then add msging app from app drawer then it will work
Working every thing smoothly and no lag.
If massaging app dont work do as op said in above post it will work sure.

Because gingerbread and many devices cant enjoy original google experience launcher at least gingerbread user can enjoy the taste of modded kitkat launcher

ok so first install external launcher the one you whant on playstore
copy your old launcher to your sd card (just in case) and delete it if you have my magazine you can delete it also
download the version you whant 4x5 or 5x5 and copy it to system/priv-app and set correct perm if your rom is odex so remove touchwiz.odex
download wallpapercropper and wallpaperpicker and paste it to system/priv-app , remove wallpaperchooser.apk
download the apk secthemechooser + flipboard + flipboard briefing and the theme you whant and copy it to system/app and set correct perm
reboot your phone and start with external launcher go to setting application and go to the last tab you can see touchwiz so clik on it and supress data
push the home button to start touchwiz

Change name of 4x5launcher to SecLancher3.apk and overwrite old one and fix permission, don't forget to install any costum launcher as a backup
I hade already deleted seclauncher3.apk and its odex file before copy 4×5 launcher. Then is it required to rename?

1. Boot Your Phone In Recovery And Select Intall Zip and Wait Until Says, Done!
2. Reboot Your Phone Normally, And Enjoy This Launchers With a Best Stability and Fixed Black Status Error in Some Devices
BUG:
-In 5x5 S6 Launcher Version 5.1.1 The Numbers Of SPlanner in TouchWiz Are Really Big And I'm Working to Reduce The Size
[If You Known The Solution For This Send Me PM and I'll Update and Mention You ]
TWEAKS:
1. If You Found a Black Status Bar, You Need To Install An App Like Titanium Backup, and Clear Data and Cache of TouchWizHome and Test If The Black Status Bar Continues
2. Do The Step 1 If Your TouchWizHome, When You Install And reboot, Do FC
3. To Enable Alphabetical Order in S6 5.0.2 Launchers You Need To Follow This :
With Root Explorer go to System / csc / others - open in text editor and insert this :
<CscFeature_Launcher_EnableViewByAlphabetAsDefau lt >true</CscFeature_Launcher_EnableViewByAlphabetAsDefault>

Yes, But don later don't post: Don't work/ TW has stopped/Black Status Bar/etc... Wipe Always Cache/Data to get fully working. Hope i Help u
Nice. But weather widget always dissapear although badge provider replaced. Need improvemnt in next version. Keep it up.

Yes because you need S6 SystemUi at least to make it working

Try install manually in System/Priv-App/ And Give all Correct System Permissions, After this revise if all changed good and reboot. Once you boot, if don't work or says TW has stopped/etc... Install Titanium backup and wipe cache and data from TouchWiz Home, If you do step by step will works surely, I'm using it

update : Worked like a charm...amazing! Thanks Man.
I've noticed that themes is missing from the homescreen long press. And when u change the themes in settings, it only affects the background but not the icons.

What launcher, N5?, This Launcher get S6 Themes support in long press menu, but not old lollipop support, the new S6 one, if you apply old themes from settings with this launcher, probably get changed only the background not icons . Try to get a S6 Port rom for your device and automatically shows in TW Launcher long press menu (I say that u get a S6 Port rom because no idea how to enable it directly from system files )

My Own N5 Port for S4 i9505 LTE , That probably will be available in Xda next weekend, but will be Beta 0.5, and needs testing
