it tells me that '.\adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command , operable program or batch file . What does this mean ?
and was I suposed to open adb as an cmd? If it's suppost to be like that it opens up cmd says data really fast and closes

if you can enter into bootloader you can enable usb debug yes?
okay you can copy paste another or the same rom to sd card and then flash it via adb.
Never heard of ADB what is it and where can I get it?
And I've added the files with the SD card reader, not sure i'm able to read the phone with it plugged into my comp..

try it... put your device in the bootloader (hboot) and conect it to your pc if you have installed the htc sync drivers and the pc recognices your device you are able to do usb debug for run adb parameters.
ADB PARAMETERS are part of the software of "sdk" of android (software development kit)
download from here http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
and read about it browsing in google....
sdk runs in a windows CMD
is the only way to restore your device if you can´t enter into recovery menu
later when you read about and how to use adb commands i´ll post here the exact commands that you must to enter for restore your device..
but tomorroww now i´m going to bed here are the 4:08 am
I"m installing it now, thanks so much..hopefully I can figure this out.
So I got to cmd..made it to "adb devices" and it said "list of devices attached", but nothing was listed.
Also, when I type adb devies, I get * daemon started successfully *

okay lets go....
if you write in the CMD (in the sdk folder) this:
"adb" (ENTER)
"adb reboot"(ENTER) for example... your device should to reboot... try it and let´s go to flash a rom
EDIT: remember.. for to run any adb comand you must to stay in adb folder..
if i don´t forgot it it´s in "platform-tools" folder of the "sdk file"
in my case:
c:\users\evodroid}cd..
c:\users}cd..
c:\cd sdk
c:\sdk}cd platform-tools
c:\sdk\platform-tools}adb
c:\sdk\platform-tools}adb reboot
daemon sucesfully.....
..... wait... (the device reboots)
OK..wait, I have an androidsdk folder in my C:/..not adb folder..
I'm getting an error: device not found
I put in my root C:/ an adb folder and i also copied its contents to the tools folder in my androidsdk folder as well..
Ryanism said:

adb its the parameter, not a folder..
you must put the sdk folder (the general) into the root of c:\
then browse where you have the adb files (nornally in the sdk--platform-tools)
in this folder you can use adb parameters
when you write "adb" (enter) shows you the all the functions that adb has????
if it happens your sdk its installed well
I believe I did what you wrote and it didn't work. at adb reboot, nothing happened. Doesn't recognize my device.

Since the milestones bootloader is locked, we cannot create sbf files to flash on it. The only ones are stock eclaire, stock froyo, and the got 2.2.1 leak. All are signed by motorola. It is for that reason that it is impossible for you to attain this. I would suggest re-downloading androidiani openrecorvery to your sd card, and trying again, because thats the only way your gunna get miui. You could also try minimod openrecovery.
Just do what they are saying, flash a signed Motorola sbf, then root it and get Androidiani running and use it to flash MIUI.
Try this or this. Make sure you have openrecovery on your sdcard and miui in your updates folder.

There is no need to press any keys.
1. First extract a fresh copy of AOR to sdcard. Then copy miui zip file under updates folder
2. Next, activate usb debugging mode in your phone and connect to pc.
3. Open up command prompt and enter the following commands in order.
Code:
adb devices ( this should show as your phone being connected )
adb shell "echo 'boot-recovery ' > /cache/recovery/command"
adb shell "echo '--update_package=SDCARD:update.zip' >> /cache/recovery/command"
adb shell "reboot recovery"
That's it. Your AOR should load.

You could also use Google, as you can find detailed guides that start at installing drivers for windows, that you probably don't have.
And, as I understand that your phone works, you can always use terminal emulator from market, which doesn't need the drivers and works exactly like using adb through windows cmd line.

Haha. You need to have android sdk installed to get adb working. Or as Jack said, try the commands using TE, without the adb shell and without the quotes.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
using jacks idea is great, yes my cell is working... i have installed and whenever i put in a command it says permission denied
this states that most probably my cell is not rooted yet
i tried using androot and it does give the temporary root and fails on permanent root, but still i cant execute any command in te
please b patient and help
Try z4root for rooting your phone. And install android sdk. There are many sticky threads telling you how to install android sdk.

I don't even think you can create an sbf for a ROM. I only know of Nandroid backups.

As everyone told you already, because of the locked bootloader you can't flash any .sbf you want. Only Motorola's and GOT's that has vulnerable recovery injected.
To flash MIUI rom, use OpenRecovery and flash the .zip file.

You need to have AndroidSDK installed or atleast have fastboot executable.
Once you have that, you can either set the path in environment variables or just go to that path using command line and use the fastboot command.
You should follow this instruction, it's very helpful.

But that is for the 4G version, is the same thing?
I just rooted my first Android device the day before yesterday. One problem I ran into is that the Android SDK now installs to "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk" instead of "C:\android-sdk" like most instructions give.
These are the instructions I followed to root my phone: wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Nexus_S:_Full_Update_Guide (Sorry for the lack of a link. I just found out I'm not able to post links because I'm new )
They helped me out a lot but it took a lot of time and concentration to get it done. Just keep in mind where Android SDK installs and change the paths to the new path when you need to.

You will need a linux box or python installed on windows. Find instructions on the web for that.
Step 1: Download attachment
Step 2: Run command and make note of code return
Code:
adb shell cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/manfid
Step 3: Run command and make note of code return
Code:
adb shell cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/serial
Now you should have 2 sets of numbers. first should be in the format of 0x0000XX where XX is numbers. And the other is 0xSSSSSSSS.
So now use the downloaded file and execute (obivously replacing the entries with what was returned above.
Code:
./cublock.py XX SSSSSSSS
This will tell you you have unlock.signed now. So move that to your fastboot/adb directory and then reboot to bootloader and issue this command
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash unlock unlock.signed
Once done, get back to android and do the following:
Code:
adb shell
su
idme print
You should now see unlock_code: AAAAAAAA and on and on.
Now go flash my TWRP build in OG dev

Hi jmz,
I have a question here- all that was in your ZIP file was the cublock.py file.
Are we supposed to use this with the rest of draxie's tools in the HDX thread? If so, I was able to get an 'unlock.img' file, but nothing called 'unlock.signed'
maybe you didn't upload all the attachments we needed?
either way, thanks soooo much for your work !

sorry, with that tool you only get the unlock.img . I need to correct the post
In my linux box 'cuber' module, required by cublock.py, is not installed; is this the correct source? https://github.com/benesch/cuber
One more question: I forgot to block OTA update so my HD6 updated to 4.5.4, loosing root permissions. What I should do? Need to wait KingRoot supports the new software version or can I proceed to unlock bootloader and install twrp? Or could install, if available, a 4.5.3 recovery through dd? Very thanks.
I sense many roms being ported very soon...
Sure hope so!
I used the tools (cuber) in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/kin...tools-create-unlock-img-fix-boot-img-t3050689
So i generated unlock.img, but i am still unable to enter fastboot mode,
i tried changing boot to 4002, i rooted and tried to execute fastboot file, nothing works tbh, how do you suppose i fix this?
thanks in advance

it won't work that easy. On what window you are ?? I don't give a damn which driver you installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
just install the latest version from here.... Let it download and then i
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE USB DEBUGGING ON FROM DEVELOPERS SETTINGS
it will ask you for something like installing system wide adb and fastboot devices. Let it install at last skip the installing device software.
Now just go to c drive of your system or drive in which you have your window installed(drive) installed. Now you see adb named folder on the root of the drive.
Just press shift key first and right click then, you will see there a option of opening with command prompt or something.
Voila !!! you are now in adb .
To check you have right driver installed
give coomand like: adb devices this will show your device in the window...
if you see your device then type command: adb reboot bootloader this will bring you into bootloader menu...
TO check here that you are properly set yourself type command: fastboot devices
