hi all
im new to this so please be patient.
i have just installed on my galaxy s2 RESSURECTİON V8.3 ULTİMATE XXLP6 İCS.
the problem i have is i cannot connect my phone to kies to sync my items.
tried with and without USB debugging.
PLEASE HELP
hi,the problem is that ics is not completly working on our devices, but we have two solutions :
1 : reboot the cell in recovery mode and select mont and storage --> mount usb storage, then connect the cell with usb cable to the pc and the external sd will be displayed on the pc
2 : install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389375 and when connect it (Debug usb must be on) click on the blu android icon to activate the mass storage of the internal memory.
I have not any solutions at this time .-.
I have a xiaomi mi2 device, but i think/hope that my question is more general and related to MIUI Jelly beans rom.
When I connect my phone to windows 7, it is recognized as an audio player device instead of USB mass storage device. Actually I don't know if it is the cause of my problem which is the mount point of the internal memory i.e /sdcard/.
With my previouse phone (LG optimus 2x and MIUI Gingerbread) the internal memory is recognized as a mass storage device under windows 7, and the mount point is at root (i.e / ).
How can I reproduce this with my JB MIUI ?
I have:
root enabled
tried both usb debug mode ON/OFF
installed android SDK usb driver
I am using jellybean 4.1.1 ROM which is great on my device but i cant connect my device through USB Mass storage ( it starts to connecting but stuck & again show turn USB On )
because rom which i am using is developed for other device which dont have internal memory &
i got cm 10 rom which has usb mass storage connction & internal SD Card is accessible through my phone
my question is How to enable mass storage on my device & where to make changes to enable mass storage ????
Where to make changes for Enabaling Mass Storage

Hello,
I pluged the device to my laptop (win 7 pro 64bit) and have chosen the driver mode, installed the drivers, then i want to access the mass storage mode to transfer the files using file commander, but the only modes are charge, MTP, PTP, driver disk....i cant see the internal and external storage as a disk in any mode. Please how to fix this?
I might be wrong, but I do not think Lollipop supports USB mass storage anymore . You should still be able to transfer files in and out via Windows Explorer using MTP mode. And I actually like that because I no longer have to worry about ejecting the device before unplugging.
Usb Mass Storage (UMS) is no more officially supported since Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Nevertheless we can find some app/mod enabling it (on playstore) but I don't know if or works with 5.0 + and root is needed.
hi there..
as you know there is no USB Mass Storage Mode for LG G Pro 2..
i faced some problems earlier and need to use my ext_SD on USB Mass Storage Mode .. but there is not such an option on USB Connection menu ..
so i googled it and find this useful app to do the job..
benefits are
more speed on copying your file to ext_SD..
you can access some folders that does not appear on MTP mode..
here is the link.. i use v5.3
