I am trying to install a few apps from the samsung store. When I click on the app it says "View app in Gear Manager".
When I first tried to install them they didn't successfully install. The app is not on my gear2 therefore I cannot uninstall it. It does not appear in gear manager.
Is there a way around this? Sideloading the app is something I want to avoid if at all possible.
I have tried the following things so far...
1. Factory reset the galaxy gear
2. Factory reset the phone and galaxy gear together
3. Deleted my samsung account and made a new one.
4. Force uninstalled the samsung app and reinstalled it.
5. Force uninstalled the gear manager and reinstalled it.
I am pretty out of ideas. It seems insane that there isn't a reinstall button on the thing.
Any advice is appreciated!

what device are you using ? do you have unknown sources enabled in your phone and samsung apps ?

4.4, I wish the reason it didn't work was because I'm on 4.3. It wouldn't be as maddening then.

hmmmm, is your gearmanager installed with the gear 2 plugin ? or is it the gear manager, for the gear (1)

The one I have installed from the Samsung store has a screenshot of it being connected to a gear 2 so I assume it is compatible. 2.1.14

A new update came out today. Try updating to that. If not try when it updates again om the 1st of next month

Have you tried disabling screen security
Following this thread... I updated my Gear Manager and lost some watches from the gear app store. Tried to reinstall them, but app store says installed, while the apps are not visible in the app list or on the watch itself.

Ended up returning the Gear 2 and preordered a gear live instead.
At this point there really isn't any reason to own a Tizen gear.

Here is the new Google Play Store 4.4.21. Obviously not mine it is stock and installs like any other app. I like the new layout with the side drawer, enjoy!

That is weird,,,,are you running a rom that uses a phonesky.apk or vending?
I have it running (well my themed version of play store) on my Galaxy S3 and my Droid mini.

Gear Manager seems to have some compatibility issues when running Lollipop, but that problem is over!
Steps:
1. Download this rar file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9QvmNs9dpD-SU54MHcyZG9oQjA/view?usp=sharing or https://mega.co.nz/#!u09SgJoK!XUw5mFGIEq-QGXH7F05m8MRbH950LQif1Fppo0NjFCc
2. extract the rar file using any type of file explorer or file compressor
3. install every single apk file
4. make sure your galaxy gear is in default mode (reset)
5. once you have installed every single apk file, go to the app drawer and open the gear manager app.
6. follow the same steps as usual
7. enjoy!

does not work on galaxy gear 1 with Nexus 5 Lollipop.
No go on lollipop for g3, running cyanogenmod. I was able to get it working on kk. Something missing still for aosp based builds.
Gear Manager update is available now in galaxy apps!

Force close when I launch Gear Manager after installing all APKs.
Edit: Now HostManager has stopped when Connecting to Gear... then Gear Plugin has stopped

Gear Manager 2.2.14110499
Just installed all, fc on gear manager open. Running CM12 nightly for the htlespr, reflashed to try this. Do the apps need to get installed in a specific order?
Edit: Does this need a TW based rom?

+1 and sometimes bluetooth has FCs and I dont turn on. I have to do a full wipe installation rom :crying:

I have the Verizon S7 Edge so don't have the Samsung browser pre-installed.
You can't install the apk either as the app will force close unless it is placed in the system/app folder. (Which I can't because there is no root)
Is there anyone that can or is willing to mod the Samsung browser so that it can be sideloaded?

I had always been told that if you tried to sideloader the Sammy browser on a Verizon s7 it would crash. I stand corrected and appoligize.

I wonder if there's any way to mod the browser so that when I open links in new tabs, it keeps me on the current page I'm browsing rather than taking me to the link I just opened in the new tab. Frustrating.

I can't up vote this post enough! That is my only gripe with the Samsung browser.
I'm just the opposite, when I open a new tab, I want to immediately go to that tab.

You're in luck then, unfortunately if you want to open a few tabs you have to go back and forth, its a bit annoying. I think dolphin has two options for opening tabs, one in foreground and one in background, but its horribly slow on basically every phone.

Go into the applications section in settings and see if it has accidentally been disabled? If not then i don't think you can install it as a user app as it's a system only app and since you don't have root nothing more can be done

Hmm. Not entirely true. I think it's a matter of signature. I was able to install 5.0.40.15 of the Messaging app without problems. Even with the Email app from Pie, it did so as well though somehow its API was reduced from 27 to 26 and lower. Well, we just have to wait for the dev for his next update of the app and maybe it'll install successfully by then.
