because when you want to download a video
Copy that link and paste it in download manager
Now you can download it
Some websites forces you to use download manager
Such case you need to download it
Thats one head ache

I am running Baked Snack 1.5 on my Epic. When trying to download .zip I get the error: Cannot Download phone does not support. Can anyone help with this?
Common problem. Go to the market and download astro file manager, open it press menu>preferences>click allow browser downloads and try again

hi,guys.. i know all of you wanna create or mod an android apps and wanna use it or share.
i think newb like me already tried to change the image files from res folder of apk but the problem is edited apk files just dont install,it always say application not installed,the problem is the apk isn't signed,you have to sign it.. most of newb dont know how to sign apk. so here is an android app "ZIP SIGNER" it can sign your apk file. in this app just input your edited apk and chose output location and press Sign,and your apk will be signed. and you will be able to install your edited apk...... so try it.

i just checked 4shared link,its available. to download it from 4shared,1st you have to log in in 4shared and then click on this link.
this app is incompetible from market but the file i uloaded in 4shared is compitable.

Hey thanks a lot for sharing this app. Its such a coincidence with me,i was about to change my current rom(razodroid v4) because it could not update system apps as they were not signed properly. But i just thought of browsing through fits xda threads as i do everyday and i saw this thread. By using this app i signed my system apps and now they are updating properly . Thans for this very useful thread:good:

To Experience Google 4.4 Launcher U will need Three Files Which u Have to Install!!!!
The Links For The Files Are :- (UPDATED)

PROCEDURE -
Follow these steps.
1. install Velvet.apk and after installation completes open the app.(After opening either minimize the app or close it).
2. install PrebuiltGmsCore.apk and after installation completes open the app.(After opening either minimize the app or close it).
3. install googlehome.apk and after installation completes open the app, and enjoy the launcher with google search.
Note : you can use it as user app.
Note: For adding pages to home do this.
press and hold at the screen to raise the wallpaper, widget and setting screen.
select widget option.
press and hold any widget and when the launcher home appears to place the widget, move the widget to the right hand side of the screen a new page would appear place the widget there, repeat the same procedure for more pages
FOR THOSE STILL HAVING FC AND STUFFS. I HAVE ADDED A FILE TO THE OP(IT WAS PREVIOUSLY IN ONE OF MY COMMENTS). DOWNLOAD IT BELOW, UNZIP IT, COPY AND REPLACE IT IN /SYSTEM/LIB/ DIRECTORY ON UR PHONE COPY YOUR ORIGINAL .SO FILE TO SOMEWHERE IN CASE U WANNA REVERT BACK LATER(USE ROOT EXPLORER), REBOOT.

Keep giving me error "google search stopped working"
Finally the wait is over Google Now is now available for ICS...
Features:
1) Offline voice typing without any internet connection..
2) Dial any contact number just using your voice...
Other features, you can check in zip file..
Requirements:
1) A rooted ICS running device...
2) CWM or TWRP recovery installed..
3) Atleast 70MB space must be free in system Rom... For checking free space use titanium backup....
Steps For Installation::angel:
1) Download the zip file and place it in your sdcard..
2) Now switch off your phone and go to recovery mod by pressing volume up and power key together..
3) Firstly take a nandroid backup and reboot...
4) Again come to recovery mod and click install zip from sdcard..
5) Navigate to Google now for ics zip file and install it..
6) Wait for installation and reboot..
7) That's it enjoy...
For voice typing through keyboard you need a Google keyboard.......

Just hit thanks to you hope you do the same
Decided to write this guide to stop from spamming ROM threads for solution .
As we know , much Lollipop ROMs has usecell Cyanogen Recovery , that can't flash much at all .
Step 1 : Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/themes-apps/beta-fota-cwm-one-klick-t3068084
Download and install app from this thread . ( Credits to @SdtBarbarossa )
Step 2 : Make sure you got root access .
Step 3 : Launch app , select recovery you want to apply and wait for reboot .
DONE ! Hope you will remember .
ok writing this guide is ok but if you do it do it complete....
please ad (i will remove this post if you added)
1. go to settings -> about phone
2. tap 7 times on buildnumber
3. go to settings -> developeroptions and activate it
4. click on root allow for apps (or both)
5. download and install apk (just normal install via doubletap)
6. allow root permissions
7.WAIT until it says "we can go" (why some people ignore that???)
8. click on any recovery you wish
9. wait for reboot and be happy
also mention that this recovery dont work on stock-rom
