[Q] Galaxy note 10.1 (N8000) HardBricked after failed 4.4.2 upgrade - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone
UPDATE
So, it turns out that the Original Stock Android rom fixes my problem.
I had issues downloading this file several times and I kind of held my breath while it was installing, as I have gotten the failure message right towards the end of it all.
But the stock rom did it for me, so if anyone has a seriously bricked device and all you can do is go into ODIN mode, this might solve it for you:
I still cant link outside of XDA so, go to "World Wide Web" . TheAndroidSoul . com / ddalh1/
That is where I found the original stock rom. Download it, and keep it safe!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8000) and two days ago, I was running the stock Android 4.1.2 version. The ROM that I had installed has this information: (Downloaded from sammobile.com and installed via ODIN.
Model: GT-N8000
Model name: GALAXY Note 10.1
Country: Germany
Version: Android 4.1.2
Changelist: 1388206
Build date: Wed, 11 Sep 2013 04:43:27 +0000
Product Code: DBT
PDA: N8000XXCMI2
CSC: N8000OXACMI2
MODEM: N8000XXCLL1
I then decided that I was excited about the new 4.4.2 version and decided to give it a go. So I downloaded the stock from Singapore
Model: GT-N8000
Model name: GALAXY Note 10.1
Country: Singapore
Version: Android 4.4.2
Changelist: 1678704
Build date: Wed, 28 May 2014 11:14:25 +0000
Product Code: MM1
PDA: N8000XXUDNE5
CSC: N8000OLBDNE3
MODEM: N8000DXUDND1
I got a fail from ODIN, I do not remember exactly what the problem was, but then I decided to try the Indian version
Model: GT-N8000
Model name: GALAXY Note 10.1
Country: India
Version: Android 4.4.2
Changelist: 1813067
Build date: Sat, 31 May 2014 05:49:17 +0000
Product Code: INU
PDA: N8000XXUDNE6
CSC: N8000ODDDNE4
MODEM: N8000DDUCNE2
And that one did not work either. I then went on to install KIES and sure enough, it gave me the option to do a firmware update. So I tried that, but after waiting for a long time it just wouldn't install in the end.
I guess I tried to install one of the downloaded roms again, and I am not sure why, but now the tablet is more or less screwed. I can boot into ODIN mode, but I cannot flash any new roms (usually files at tz.img or nand write). I can install TWRP recovery and I have tried installing their OMNI from from inside TWRP and it installs, and the tablet will proceed to the omri ROM boot screen and then never move on from there.
I noticed inside TWRP that I can mount every partition of the internal SD card except for preload and I get E: Unable to mount error message every time I do a command in TWRP.
I can Flash CMW Touch recovery as well, but I cannot boot into recovery mode. I am trying to attach a link to youtube, showing what my tablet looks like when I try to boot it up.
Seems I cannot link to the Youtube video, that's a little annoying.
Go to youtube and in the address bar, after (.com) insert this: watch?v=YskciilkaSk&feature=youtu.be
In the video it starts from the OMNI rom boot screen which never ends
First I try just to reboot with the power button
Go to ODIN mode
Then I try to start Recovery mode and I get into TWRP
I then try to mount the preload partition, try to install the OMNI rom again, do a wipe and reboot.
I am pretty much lost. I have never had any trouble flashing a rom before, and even when I did, I could always just flash my previous rom and save the day. I am currently downloadid the stock N8000DDALH1 to try and flash that one last time.
I'll be happy to try and provide more information if needed. I have tried re-partitioning which doesn't work either. I am begging for help at this point!
Thank you for your help!

try to install the latest twrp recovery and ver. which is exactly for your device. KK always has some mess ups so its normal...
Samsung definitely can not make anything normal (any update..) that can work w/o problems and more exactly On time...so calm down its just normal again...
for root use only cfauto and dont flash any custom recovery after this if u dont wanna have headaches with extsdcard (blame KK and google for this, not samsung) although both are in competition to be the worst developer company...so just try and post your experiences here...and accept all these headaches normal (if u can) or know that all are caused because of incimpetance of many many inexperienced (roughly: dumb asses of the nowadays tech industry, that can only exaggerate stock values, w/o being able to do anything usefull in real).
welcome to the 21st century digital era....

Thank you for your reply
I seemed to have fixed it, flashing the factory STOCK rom onto the device, but I don't understand why it happened ...

[Q] Another firmware question

I bought a US refurb P6210, I am in the UK.
Using Kies it doesn't state a current firmware version - is that a problem?
It also states there are no updates available - fine if true, not needing one.
How do I know what software I am using so I can get a Stock image for recovery purposes?
Android Version: 3.2
Kernel: 2.6.36-P6210UEKJC-CL567728
Build: HTJ85B.UEKJC.P6210UEKJC
Which doesn't seem to tie up with any of these:

From this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484573
It looks like I have a North American firmware October 2011 version C
The guy below me has European firmware Dec 2011 version 4
I too seem to have an unknown Firmware
Model: Gt-P6210
Android: 3.2
Kernel: 2.6.36-P6210XXKL4-CL604657
[email protected]#3
Build Number: HTJ85B.XXKL4 P6210XXKL4
UEKJC to UEKL1
Has anyone succesfully flashed the full P6210UEKL1 package over the P6210UEKJC firmware?
I'm starting to think UEKJC is a very early or slightly unofficial firmware as Kies doesn't recognise it (Current firmware version: BLANK) and the OTA never finds any updates.
This seems to be the firmware coming on the US refurb units from Digigood on eBay.
I'm tempted to start from fresh and flash UEKL1 using Odin and then see if Kies and OTA start to pick up the real updates from there.
For Odin flashing would this be the right process?
1. Start Odin 1.85
2. Load P6210XARKL1_P6210UEKL1_HOME.tar.md5 into PDA section
3. Turn on P6210 with Power and Volume Down and choose Download mode
4. Hit Start on Odin
Any advice/help appreciated

Yup. That's the correct process. This should bring you back to stock. I don't know what's been done to your tab's ROM in order for KIES not to recognize it, (I'd probably need more information, but it's not at all important,) this process should give you a clean slate from which to start. Good luck!

[Q] where can i download firmware version 4.1.1

Hey everyone, I have an At&t Note 2, sgh-i317 that I am trying to unlock. It is currently running 4.3 and tried to do the unlock several times, but have realized I need an older version in order for the correct options to appear in the unlock menus. However, I am getting stuck trying to downgrade to 4.1.1 cause I CANNOT find a firmware download for 4.1.1 and have spent awhile looking. Anybody have a direct link to 4.1.1? Thanks
Also, in a walkthrough to downgrade firmware, it says I need to "Enable the USB debugging option by
pressing Menu > Settings > Applications. Then navigate and strike on Developer Options to ensure that the USB Debugging is enabled." How do I do this?
Answers to either of these questions would be appreciated, or if someone has a good, in depth walkthrough to downgrade to 4.1.1, I would greatly appreciate it.
THANKS!
I went to sammobile.com and found 2 firmware files for the sgh-i317. One says its 4.1.2 (which from what I understand wont work when unlocking, I need 4.1.1) The other file doesnt have a version, but the description is:
Model: SGH-I317
Country: USA (AT&T)
Version:
Changelist: N/A
Build date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 +0000
Product Code: ATT
PDA: I317UCALJ2
CSC: I317ATTALJ2
MODEM: I317UCALJ2
Is this what I want?

[Completed] [Q] Install Lollipop on SGH-I337

I have a S4 that I am trying to upgrade to Lollipop. I tried through the AT&T Software update and keep getting "Software Update Interrupted." I remember I had rooted it quite awhile ago (towelroot)? But I am selling the phone now and just want to restore it to stock and upgrade it to lollipop. Kies says it is updated (which of course it's not). I do not have an external SD card. I did a "Factory data reset" from settings to see if that would allow me to update but it didn't. I did some reading and a lot of old Google posts said just to bring it to Best Buy. Are there any other options as those are outdated and I am doubting BB will be willing to help. Any and all help appreciated! Thanks!

Really, no one? All I need is someone to point me to the proper thread so that I can get this thing back to stock without bricking it. Someone out there has to know the thread!
Hi, xml to put for using XDA Assist. If you're rooted or made any system changes the ota will not work. You probably have to flash the nb1 tar file in Odin and start over. Software update PDA and CSC?

Hello all! I have a rooted Galaxy Tab 4 (full details at bottom). Since I'm rooted, I can't do software updates from my tablet so I just said "Eh, whatever" and didn't worry too much about updating. However I recently downloaded Samsung Kies3 to my PC and much to my surprise, it says there's an available software update (for my tablet, not for Kies3) that I can presumably apply directly to my tablet via USB connection (see below for what appears on my PC). Problem is, I have no idea what it means. I've seen posts that show how to read a firmware number for some of this info, but where to go from there? I have no clue. What exactly am I going to be updating? Will I lose root? That's a pretty sizeable update so I'm assuming it's something big. If you could provide any info, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

SM-920F unable to dial (call/use the phone app) on custom ROMs

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me with the following issue. For a long time I used a custom ROM(NNE 3.1) and was able to call out and to be called. Until recently the Phone App just started to crash on any number I wanted to dial to. Since I haven't reset the phone for a long time, I chose to try out some newer ROMs, assuming the calling out/in problem would be solved.
However, whatever custom ROM I'm trying, calling doesn't work anymore. After re-flashing the stock firmware(Stock Samsung Android 7 - G920FXXU5EQI6_G920FPHN5EQI2_PHN) with Odin, I was able to call and to be called again.
After which I thought/hoped, maybe the stock ROM would have fixed the Phone App issue, so I tried various custom ROMs installed with TWRP, but with none of them the Phone App works. Not even with the exact same ROM I've been using for a long time. (I backed-up that ROM back then, and re-flashed the exact same file this time [NNe 3.1]).
What am I missing here? Some Samsung hardware security feature that got flipped back somehow?
Help is much appreciated...the stock firmware is so slow...
Thanks in advance!
