you gotta read and search my friend. Questions go in Q&A btw. XDA isn't going to spoon feed you, the info to get back to stock is all over the place. if you got to a custom rom, I'm confident you can flash odin back to stock
Moved to Q&A. I'm almost sure this might be covered somewhere else but at least have it in the correct forum
Cheers

This is your actual question. By now you may know Xda organizes those answers in the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Android Development forum section. Look for the pushpin icons at the top of the list of threads. they are your "stickies", like an FAQ.
Remember OTA updates, when offered, do not mix with custom recoveries like CWM. You will need to flash a stock recovery.

read, read more, read the stickies, i read alot b4 i even attempted to flash, at least a few hundred posts and using the search button.
all problems and solutions have been posted, as u r a n00b all u have todo is invest time into reading alot of posts, because of ur post we all know u havent even bothered to read the stickies, espicially read the one w/n00b's in the title, thats y they r there. .
once u know what ur r doing and r stumped at a certain problem, believe me we can tell by how u post a question, post in the q&a forum
this post is just a copy paste from another post i wrote to a n00b
but anyway read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652398 , its a post i started for ur situation, u would have found many by doing a simple search
Hi,
Does anyone have a 100% STOCK nandroid backup for the Ville (S4) EU 2.31.401.5 ROM?
Thanks
No but you have the RUU here: http://www.filefactory.com/f/cf061f69b5bf7878/
Thanks, but you can't flash older RUU after JB OTA update - tried that already. That's why I need a nandroid backup.
Doesn't something like this seem like it should go in the Q&A section?? I mean c'mon, you're not new you should know this by now... This is like the fifth post in a couple of days that DOESN'T belong here......

I've tried Q&A and didn't get any answers...
Yes, send me a pm and I'll give you the link.
I am currently on LXP13D.. when the final build becomes available...will i b able to flash it via nexus root toolkit over this?
Not sure about any toolkits, never used one.
And no, you won't be able to update the preview.
You can return to fully stock 4.4.4 and wait for the OTA. Or wait a day or so and flash stock Lollipop with fastboot, or flash a custom L rom.

You just asked this in the correct place where I answered then you duplicated it here in the wrong place. Most users get it wrong first haha
Stock answer:
Please do not create new Android "L" threads.* Until the release is official, we are using the dedicated sticky only.

Hello All,
I havent been on XDA for quite some time, I used to flash Cyanogen ROMs pretty much daily a few years ago (on my HTC Hero!).
I now have a Nexus 5 and am frustratingly waiting for an Android Lollipop OTA update which hasn't arrived yet! I am tempted to flash a 5.0 ROM, but wanted to ask if by doing so I will stop receiving future OTA updates from google i.e 5.1 whenever its released. Apologies if this is a dumb question... I've been out of the customisation game for a long time!
Thanks
Calico
wrong forum. you posted in development section. this belongs in q/a section. but yes, if you flash a custom rom you will not get otas.

Sorry, hopefully a mod can move it to the correct section
Ahh... that does complicate things. I don't have as much free time as I used to so I may just stick it out and wait for the official OTA.
Thanks for the reply!
Hi there looking for some help,
I have my OPO for over 4 months now, and am extremely happy with it. However I have not got any updates to the OS. From when I have bought the phone its been stuck on 11.0-XNPH25R. And if I check the System updates option, it says its upto date.
I would like to know, can I just update to 44s without the incremental updates of the previous versions ? And whats a noob friendly tutorial of how to do so ? Cos I have never flashed a ROM on my phone so far ?
I Don't want to be left out on the Android L update when it does happen. So want to do the updates right now, any help will do. The phone at the back does not have the cyanogen OS logo, just the manufacturer info. Does this have anything to do with it ? ( international version etc )
Please help.
Regards,
Melvin
