>> MTP/Media Storage weird issue << - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone that lurks around :>
I've been having some uber strange issue with MTP since I've cleared the MediaStorage.apk's data.
I've used several apps for media rescan and so on, the phone itself finds the media (even some extra...), but when I connect it to my PC/laptop in MTP or PTP mode, I get most of the directories on the /sdcard looking like an unknown file rather than a directory.
Here's a screenshot so you can see what I'm talking about.

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can't access these directories by any means on a computer (tried with several).On the other hand I got no issues accessing them on the phone itself by any file manager.
I've also ran fsck.f2fs on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata
and just in case e2fsck on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system
in CWM via ADB.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Hmm, no one had got any idea?

Up, looking for someone with some ideas about this issue.

Problem with USB mounting

Hello!
Following issue:
My PC can't write files to the sdcard of my Desire Z.
Detailed description:
I mount the storage to my Win7 x64. This works fine.

}
Reading files and navigating through directories of the sdcard works. But if I write something on the sdcard, the copying progress suddenly stops. Then it looks like this:
The progress bar doesn't become longer. After a minute, following error message appears:
In English: "An error has occurred. The specified destination doesn't exist..."
After displaying of this message, the explorer entry of the sdcard looks like this:
A double click on this drive shows the message (translated by me): "Please insert a media in F:".
Same issue when mounting the sdcard in CWM recovery. On other computers, this problem with my phone doesn't occur. Another Android smartphone (HTC Desire) works on my PC, too! Very strange, isn't it?
Any suggestions?

[Q] How can I fix this problem

}
This box appear when I tried to install the apps (sample here is go sms theme maker). It says "error, cannot install app with the same device i.d.
How can i fix this? I have a rooted phone, and I already tried to search this one on the root folder (/...), but I can't find what is causing the errors. I tried using SD Maid, and try if it's a corpse file (because currently, I uninstalled this app), but this does'nt appear in the corpse finder. I tried the dalvik-cache if there is some .dex file remains there, but still nothing.
So before I will reflash my ROM (which I think is the last option available for me), I try to post here. Hope that anyone can give me another idea to try to clean this error up.

Possibly bricked Acer Iconia Tab 8 (A1-840FHD)

My cousing handed me over this device asking for help. Checking it out it seems either the internal storage (or storage controller) went bad or it got corrupted somehow. I tried loading the ROM over the external SD card but it won't mount. The errors happen with both custom and stock recovery, so I believe the storage controller went caput.
In order to have more options I loaded a custom recovery with fastboot (which worked) but it won't do anything regarding storage (won't format, won't mount), be it internal or external. My cousing said this happened when he was downloading a map to use on a GPS app.
Given the popularity of this device I also did not find all img files (specially system) that I could load with fastboot.
This is what it looks like:

Phone Storage shows Empty folders S7 Edge.

so last night i was exploring around on how to root my s7 edge smg935t.
and came up with this on how root the s7 edge tmobile version and it was alot of hassle.
the first the told to do was to enable or install and adb fast boot.
so i installed the adb-setup-1.4.3 and i abandoned my rooting of phone, but i encounterd an issue after that is that my phone storage wont show any files on File explorer,

}
the only solution right is to uninstall all device drivers and restart computer and after restart i can access the files for a brief moment like a minute it stop responding and keeps showin empty folder again,
i have also tried enabling disabling USB Debugging, making sure to select file transfer from notification panel,
any help would be apreciated

ADB PULL ERROR

I am facing with error when trying to pull files from internal storage from AVD . I have rooted my device but even can not access some application data folder. Tried multiple explorers, all showing app such as youtube applications folder but target app folder not showing up. Any missing ?
Using ADB with a rooted mobile, a common method to pull files only accessible to root ( like the ones in /data/data ) is moving those files with root to the SD-card attached to the mobile ( which is formated with FAT32 and thus doesn't have file permission restrictions ) and then adb pull those files from the SD-card.
I did not get you. Can you please explain clearly ?
