Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".
These builds are unofficial and are not supported by Team DIRT.
I compile these builds solely for the purpose of having the latest code available from the repositories.
Because of this you might experience unstable builds and possibly data loss. Remember to backup your data accordingly before using any of these builds!
If something breaks I am not inclined to help in any way and you can not report bugs to Team DIRT!

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Features
Simply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.

Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application; with this, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!

It could be caused by two reasons:
a) Gapps (/system/app/Provision.apk, /system/app/CalendarProvider.apk etc has unexpected contents.)
b) system files are modified (this includes flashing a custom kernel which replaces system files)
To solve:
1. Format /system (or else old gapps will be restored)
2. Flash full ROM
3. Flash OTA
4. Flash gapps from MoKee Centre
Future updates will be working...unless you are still using a custom kernel, where you must flash back the full ROM or restore the specific files if you know how...

How much were you using your phone?
B'Cos in other kexec ROMs with normal usage i hardly 15-18 hours.
By normal usage i mean 2-3 calls, chatting on whatsapp alot, browsing playstore few times, and WiFi/2g is on all the time.
i only used wifi for about 1 hour with 2g on and brightness lowered to a bit.

Good project :good: Where is the bugs list?
Hey man i dont know what might be wrong on your side but mine is being detected and im using the default kernel which is the CyanogenMod
as much as I admire your works I would suggest to maintain only one rom in your developement process as people trying to maintain several roms usually fall behind on updates
Thanks. Been waiting for SlimKat rom

I think he develop two rom because the supernexus rom doesn't have nightly or specific updates. So he can handle this and supernexus

Thanks Guys SuperNexus doesnt need anything so it wont be hard to update it as it was easy to compile it so i will be updating it this weekend compared to slimkat which was a pain to get it to work. At the moment the sount is terrible on the supernexus the call quality is bad and i will be looking at it this weekend

What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based so expect all AOKP goodies + new additions.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or AOKP team if it conserns their modifications. This rom isn't AOKP supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
You must be on a pure (not modded) 4.4.2 modem
no need for a JDI specific kernel anymore all the magic happens during the flash of the rom

What's Broken:
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy JB. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

HAHA thanks doc
So far the only thing I notice is if I drag the notification bar down on landscape while playing a game and throw it back up it lingers for a little more. And than when drawn down again doesn't bring the home buttons out.

Well its been two days and had my first reboot. I will say its a smooth ROM and all my games work including some work applications. I'm going to look for the kernel from mahdi, if I pronounced it correctly, ROM and try it out since it never forced closed on me and report back.
FYI its cool how you have two options for Google home or your own custom home. They looked the same so I went with yours and the U.I. is great. Thanks again for the ROM.

Looking forward to running this ROM. Need the JDI kernal, tho. Hope its coming soon.

Very true, I am just too eager lol. I'm used to having major phones on major companies so I've always had an abundance of both ROM and kernel options
Sent from my XT1526 using Tapatalk
I'm surprised more people haven't tried this yet... They must not be checking this section out considering majority are all in the Original section... I'll see what I can do to help point people in the direction of this gem. I know I haven't tried it yet but it's Liquid and their roms have never failed or let me down.
