I saw this posted somewhere and thought it would be useful for those on the 3 network in the UK with poor reception at home.

You got a poor signal at home on the THREE Network?
Spoken to THREE yesterday (I'm on the 3,2,1 pay as you go plan) and told them about the poor signal at home and asked them about "HOME SIGNAL", they informed me that this is only available to people "on contract".
They offered me an APP (Which is still in the BETA stage), called "THREE IN TOUCH", which allows you to call and send and receive texts over a wi-fi connection ) [using your phone number]. (They send you a text with the appropriate link).
They informed me that whilst this is in BETA stage, calls and texts are FREE, yes free. The APP goes live on the 27th July 2014. After this date, calls and texts will be charged at standard rates (i.e. 3p / min, 2p / text).
So just to let all the THREE pay as you go people know about this, thought I'd share.

If it's a 3 contract, then presumably yes. It's intended for 3 customers only.
I didn't realise that an activation was needed. I'll add that to the first post. Thank you.
I've just tried RootCloak (with XPosed etc) but Three Intouch still wouldn't run. Also tried RootCloak Plus (with Cydia and SELinux) and that didn't work either. I'm runnng Phoenix ROM 8.0 (Android 4.4.2) on a Galaxy S4. Any other rooted S4 users having any luck with Three Intouch?

I don't even get as far as attempting to activate - the app won't start up because it detects that I am rooted.
Just tried Three inTouch today. Works okay. There's certainly a few features it needs adding before it's ready for full-time use though.

You may have got "Three In Touch" working with Rootcloak by now but, just in case you haven't then I confirm that several of us have found that the released version does work with RootCloak. The thing to do is to ensure "Three In Touch" is not installed and started BEFORE you manualy add the app to RootCloak. If you had installed it and tried to run it on a rooted phone BEFORE installing RootCloak then completely uninstall it, install it once again, make sure the app is added to RootCloak then fire it up. It should now work.

PROBLEM SOLVED! What I did was to do a thorough search inside my root to find anything related to the app I was trying to install. I found out that the app has somewhat partially installed in few places. I then deleted all of those and tried installing again. Worked.

I also tried switching between Dalvik and ART but it didn't seem to change anything. I suggest you search your root for any remnants of the app you want to install. Look in data/app, data/app-lib, data/data and system/app.
The latest update on the LG servers! Not an OTA. D80120G, Kit Kat 4.4.2. Here's a link to the kdz file on their server. You can use the LG Mobile Support Tool to upgrade. After putting your phone into download mode (holding volume up while plugging in usb), go into the options menu and selected Upgrade Recovery. You will need to have the latest LG USB drivers installed. Unfortunately, the Mac drivers do not support software upgrades. I think it sucks that carriers are allowed to block out and taint parts of an OS, an open-source OS at that, just because they have people by the balls in terms of contracts and subsidies. Tethering? Free, and part of Android, but try telling a carrier that. Tap-to-Pay? "Oh but ISIS is so much better!," says carriers. "You can use that while we install CIQ to track every movement that you make!"
Ahem...sorry about that. /rant

I know there's code in there for tap to pay because using a shortcut creator, you can see activities, but it appears the UI to make changes is gone or hidden. Having root, there may be a SQL change that can be made to turn it on or point it to google wallet.

Yeah it definitely helps. I don't think it's a gigantic improvement but it makes a noticeable difference. Even if it's only a few extra hours in standby or a few minutes more of screen on time it's worth it.

I'm with you bro. Almost shelved my Note 4 which is like the device that will never die with great devs, but the Mate 9, even with partial root to at least use Titanium gets me by with Nova and a few other added apps. New update to Samsung Pay app for Gear (Version:1.3.1703) breaks Spay on Rooted devices. Existing cards already added using the older version of app still works. New cards can't be added using newer version of the app on rooted devices.
Workaround: Hide Samsung Pay app using Magisk hide to make SPay work again on rooted devices.

did hiding it really worked? i tryied that and it didnt for me.
Hello, I just got my S3 watch and I have an unrooted stock Axon 7. After installing SPay through the Gear app and then launching SPay; SPay is telling me it can't run on rooted devices. Again, my device isn't rooted and passes SafetyNet check.
Can you tell me which version of SPay for Gear works for you?
Thanks
PT

What phone do you have. I Habs a galaxy s5 with a custom tw rom but it's mostly stock and it had all Knox related things removed. I also installed magisk and have everything working including safety net but it's not working still its telling me that my phone won't work due to root. I also tried it with my phone unrooted and still got the same error

Have you used it fine after the update? Don't know why Knox would be a problem as the gears s3 works with non Samsung phones too. Just waiting for more people to realize that samsung pay won't work anymore on their phone and to report back here
update also not working on stock Axon 7 and Axon pro now either, will re-root later and try magisk and see if able to get it working again
Chalk up another for issues with the new update. So does the magisk hide work for custom roms non tw based? or is this working for your on touchwiz roms that are rooted?
Spay
Not sure about touchwiz bazed Roms. With magisk hide SPay is working properly on Oneplus 3 (rooted). Using Open Beta 13.
Mine is not working also, Nexus 6p - PureNexus rom. I wonder if Magisik can fix this

You are able to add cards? And u have the latest update?
Same problem here rooted nexus 6p, I tried Magisik hiding doesn't seem to work for me. anyone have a workaround?
So when you first install the gear manager and tap on Samsung pay, it goes to download the "Samsung Pay (mobile)" module, this is a different version from the Samsung pay (gear) and apparently different than the one I had installing in the background. I wonder if it's possible to get an old version of this rom and install that.
Update:
So yes it was the Samsung Pay (Gear) app that is the culprit causing problems now like its bigger brother. It refuses to work when magisk is running, safetynet passed, with the custom verison I'm using now, or even with Magisk 12. So heres what I did, ran my nandroid that i made taking me back to damn near stock for my note 3 resurrection rom. (restored phone using light reset) installed the latest Gear manager, Gear plugin, and gear accessory service. I installed the SPay app released in december, and was able to make it through the installatin, refuse the update to the newest spay app, and then successfully add cards and have them show up on my gear.
Interestingly enough, my watch knew I was running an outdated version of SPay and refused to work until I updated to the newest version on my phone. Begrudingly, I updated, and got the same nastygram about "my device being rooted, that I kick puppies and punch babies and that they're going to tell my mom if I don't stop, call us so we can sell you a new phone" message.
Good luck to you should to try it, I'm gonna go to the gas station now and get a chocolate muffin and test it out.

Samsung pay stopped working for me as well. Using stock Axon 7, with latest nougat update. Worked before, but now it's nagging me about root.
