Have to agree. $15.99 on Amazon and a great product. Looks like its a $40 one with the packaging and quality.

Bought mine for 6$ on ebay. I was warned not to buy those because there may be quality, clearness, responsiveness issues. I can tell you that those people couldn't be more wrong. My 6$ glass screen protector cannot be more identical to a spigen glass tr, which i decided to boycott that company after their horrible customer service last year with the note 3. My 6$ screen protector is as clear, as fingerprint repellant, as easy to clean and has no scratches after 3 months. This opened my eyes on how we quickly throw our money at big companies because "we think" their products are of higher caliber. Couldn't be more wrong. BTW, here is the link to the item for anybody interested http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Samsung-Gala...ll_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item58af32c337&_uhb=1
It came in a box similar to the one shown in the video, it came with an alcohol pad and microfiber for cleaning. the only thing it didnt come with is the premium price tag. It's free shipping no matter if you have prime or not

Got mine for about $7 off eBay 6 weeks ago and so far matches up to any expensive branded protector, and that's why I don't automatically assume more expensive protectors are better just because I hear good reviews from people who have never tried the cheap stuff.

I always get a Nillkin when possible. Best tempered glass I've ever used and they are priced very reasonable.

In case anyone is interested. These were my first choice, but I ended up going for Phantom Skinz since they released first.
Use the coupon code "chatter" for a nice 20% off! Free shipping on orders >$35. Enjoy!
Who is gonna take the plunge, is this the best skin for the epic?

I really wanted to take the plunge for this, but I ended up going with Phantom Skinz because of Fixter's posts. The only thing is, wrapsol is solely a clear skin which can be nice or bad. They have great reviews as far as protection, orange peel, and cut/look go and that makes them a tempting purchase for anyone looking for a nice skin.
If I don't like/get tired of/tear my Phantom Skinz I'll certainly buy a Wrapsol one next!
EDIT: I should also note that they'll set you back about $29 with shipping even after the coupon.
I'm interested in the Wrapsol skin! But the $30 pricetag is a bit excessive, specially when none of the other brands are over $20 for a full body skin.... Hmm
I have used Zagg Invisible Shield, BodyGuardZ and Wrapsol on previous touch screen phones, i have had alot, and my personal oppion, is that BodyGuardsZ is best quality, less noticable on phone, Zagg would be second for my opinion, but a little glossy. Wrapsol was ok, but... not worth the price. Personal opinion though.

Was ready to pull the trigger on the wrapsol, but I will try bodyguardz after reading your post. They all have money back guarantee, but I like how warpsol was drop protection (if its true).

Skinomi are cheaper on Amazon for about $17 for full body.
I can get Zagg skins for $3. (Friend works at bestbuy).
PhantomSkin full body which has TWO full body skins for $18 including shipping.
BodyGuards design looks horrible. Even on the website the skins look like they aren't well designed and hardly cover the device.

Glass screen protector for under 8$

Last year, I pre-odered the Spigen Glass screen protector about a month before the Note 3 came out. Thanks to Spigen's AWEFUL customer service and absolutely no support what soever, i got my glass tr about a month and a half after I got the note3. Spigen have great products but there is no way i'm dealing with them again because of their lack of respect for paying customers.
About 2 months ago i had to replace my Note 3 and thus lost my glass protector and i bought a protector from a seller on ebay that offered me a very high quality product, which was to my knowledge as good as spigens products and 5 times less expensive. Now, that seller has ready for shipping the protector for the S5, so if like me, you've already pre-ordered it and want to have the protector ready for application on april 11th, then you can go buy it now for a ridiculous $7.60 with free shipping.
Great deal for a glass protector

I have had better luck with SPIGEN - in fact I ordered the New Nano Glass Screen Protector in anticipation of getting the S5 (I Preordered on teh 24th) and the Spigen glass screen protector has already shipped (according to UPS) what is amazing to me is that they have the Screen protectors ready to ship even before the phones have hit the streets.
I admit - it seems too good to be true - so I will be very interested to check the box when it arrives to make sure it is the right screen protector - it seems like Spigen has it figured out pretty well this time....I will report back when I get the shipment later this week.

Keep us up to date on how it performs with the S5: smoothness of touch, premium feeling, ease of installation and last but not least does fingerprint scanner still work.

Ya, mine was also "shipped" but in fact only the tracking number was generated, it was never actually shipped. Until you actually see the first checkpoint that say it has been accepted at the shipping facility, i wouldnt cont on it. Maybe they learned from their mistake, but ignoring all my emails and support tickets will make me not be their client, ever again, at least not with them directly, possibly with a reseller like amazon.
In any case, i got my screen protector, and it's legit, it nice, smooth and look almost identical to spigen's. Also, this guy didnt make me pay an extra 5$ for rounded corners. I'm happy with my purchase, and it just proves that paying 40$ for a piece of glass isnt worth it when a chinese version makes me as happy

well - here is what I see when I click on the tracking number they sent me:
Package Status:In Transit
Fontana, CA, United States 04/01/2014 3:50 A.M. Package transferred to destination UPS Mail Innovations facility
So - It is definately in transit - I sure wish the S5 was - lol
(I have purchsed the chinese versions that are cheaper and I can say first hand that you get what you pay for) but at the end of the day, if the inexpensive screen protector works for you - that's great - I have had good luck with Spigen and that works for me -better than the others do - and it is in shipment - should be here in a few days
I had spigen glass tr on all my previous phones, and i can tell you you picked the wrong chinese seller. I dont see any difference except the price

90% off XtremeGuard Wet install front/back protector

http://www.xtremeguard.com/default.asp
promo code: Xtreme90
i just bought 3 full body for 2.75 shipped.
I usually buy alot of these and keep extra to cut/fit new devices/gadgets. normally the front is protected by tempered glass and the back with wet install.
Sweet!
Picked up 2 cases and 2 screen protectors for 4$
I got a shipping email.
But they use USPS so I don't get a tracking number for it.
But does say delivery in 6 - 10 business days.
Hopefully it won't take that long.
But no rush for such a good price.

I just bought 2 skins and 2 cases for lie $4 shipped, and the skins are pretty decent. they add a stickyness to it but thats a skin....
I wanted to get a case to but they were completley sold out of them so I just ordered some skins....
i bought 3 screen protectors and a case. the case is fine nothing great but the screen protectors seem off. they would stick in the center but not on the sides
This is actually pretty good! on par with invisible shield but a lot cheaper with the xtreme90 discount!

Tempered Glass protectors?

Any recommendations?
Looking to grab a glass protector from aliexpress but since the phone is relatively new, not sure of anyone's experience there. Previously got one for my S4 there and it was perfect.
Please report/merge if a similar thread already exists! TIA!

I first tried ZAGG glass but then I ended up using Galaxy S5 Screen Protector GLAS.tR SLIM Privacy. Both were pretty impressive to me. ZAGG has lifetime warranty for spigen I think you only get 90 days both cost the same $39.99 and ZAGG Glass is $34.99 on the website

Yep, aware of the bigger and more common brands. They are also usually more than 5 times the price of an equivalent one from China though!
Wondering if anyone had experience with the glass protectors from the Asian market?
I have used iLoome and Spigen products before and they do not impress me for the price I pay relative to alternatives at that point in time.

i have different view on this matter. i'd recommend you to use asian brands because they are economical, yet good quality.
i'm using niilkin tempered glass, it's korean brand, it cost me just 14$ but i'm so satisfied with it, it fits perfectly with s5, finger-print resistance, real glass and super responsive. it's what you see is what you get.
hope it helps you
I ordered this one from DX :

But it will take at least one more week I guess.

Great glass
I am using the Lunnitt 9H (purchased from Amazon), love it and can't say a thing bad about the protector.
Thanks for the suggestion all!
And if you really think that protector you get for paying the overpriced $30+ is any better than the $5 one... The marketing got you good...
I use baseus, got it for about 15$.
I have it for about a month and a half now and it's still fingerprint resistant, very easy to clean, no scratches, and it's glass so it feels good to touch, i can't stand the plastic films.
I don't intend on finding out about shatter resistance though
Got the tech armor one, pretty good and very easy to put on, it was for $15 at amazon
got the glass m

0.2MM thick and feels like the original glass
I got the Hero Glass from Amazon. $15 Awesome! Sorry, can't post a link yet.
Anybody pop off Otterbox defender screen protector and use a glass one? Ive been thinking of trying it but not sure if it will fit. I hate the defender case protector and love the clarity of the glass ones.
Using m-glass. On all devices. Very nice and shipping to Russia cheap. Feel like no protector.

Review: 0.15mm "Flexglass" screen protector $6.49

I've mentioned this on a few threads but I thought I'd share this product with the forum. I have no connection to the manufacturer or this retailer at all. I'm just a customer.
Cybertech 0.15mm Flexglass screen protector.
I searched for the thinnest glass protector that I could find, some were 0.3-.4mm thick. I just saw 0.15mm (about 0.006") and actually didn't notice that it was "Flexglass" and not true glass until recently..
While the thicker glass ones should be better at impact protection, screen scratches are really my concern. After about a month it is doing great with no noticeable scratches. Being plastic I expect that a scratch is likely at some point. It is somewhere in between glass and film style protectors. I has already lasted longer than some pricey films did, and I dislike the marks that fingernails and styluses often made on films, I have a actual glass protector on my Nexus 7 and it feels about the same.
Installation was easy and so far it has remained adhered. I did the tried and true steamy bathroom install to avoid dust specks.
I didn't check it with calipers or anything but 0.15mm seems about right by feel. It doesn't sit above the chrome trim edge at all. It's very thin; it was flexible with a silicone(?) adhesive.
I'd post pics but it is nearly invisible so what's the point? :cyclops:
For &6.49 with free shipping they are so inexpensive I'm probably buying another one just in case. I think I paid a little more a month ago.
There is a suspiciously detailed negative review by a user with only that 1 review. You can make your own call on that...
My experience has been the exact opposite. It feels similar to a bare screen to me.
If anyone else buys/has used it please chime in...
Not sure what he's mad about...its under $10...If you're disappointed, your expectations are a bit high...just my opinion

Yeah that's my thought about it too, for the price it is worth a try. I'm not rich (a wage slave actually) but I'll throw $10-$15 at anything I like the sound of without regrets if it lets me down. But I've seen $0.99 apps get people all steamed up so maybe I'm too easy to please or not frugal enough. Or maybe the internet just tends to bring out the whiner in people.
I've paid $20 for a skin that I peeled off within weeks so I'm pretty stoked to still use this. It has already proven to be worth it's price by my measure.

Why not just write a review on Amazon.com to help more people? You could simply copy and paste this review over.
I am the kind of person who prefer to buy a good screen protector/case then use it until I sell my phone. My last screen protector on the Note 2 has been lasted over a year and still perfect. And it's a non-glass type just the regular plastic film.

I always had issues with films, particularly on my Notes. The stylus would leave marks in the films and make weird reflections. I actually rarely used the stylus for that reason. I've had Zagg and a few other $ brands over the years with varying degrees of happiness. I'll see it this thing lasts.
As for a review I may do just that; don;t know why I came here first. It's kinda been the home of all things Android to me for years now I guess
