Hi there!
I recently tried to move a folder with image files from my Moto G to my computer. Android 4.4.2, USB driver from the Motorola site. I used an USB cable and accessed the folder via the USB mass storage function of Windows Explorer. However, after a short time, the file transfer stopped, the file transfer window disappeared. In the target folder, there were now 137 files, but in the source folder, about 300 files were missing. Adding to that, the 137 files copied seem to be still in the source folder. To sum this up, the system (Vista x64, but also same with Windows 7 x64) seems to have copied 137 files, and deleted 300 on the Moto G. I tried to copy all the files again a couple of times, but every time to no avail. The file numbers have varied, sometimes I have got 122, mostly 137. The transfer seems to always stop at a certain file.
Is there anyone who can make sense of this phenomenon and tell me whether I'm able to restore the missing files, and to successfully copy the files?
Thanks!

Hi!
I have a LG KS20, which I usually connect to my PC through the USB adapter cable provided.
When ActiveSync starts and I want to transfer a file from my computer to my pocket pc, I simply copy and paste it in the explorer window.
But I can't do the reverse. When I try to copy a file from my KS20 to my computer the progress bar shows up, but when it ends nothing happens and the file isn't in the directory I pasted it.
I tried this in numerous ways. I even unticked the advanced tools option where it says "convert files when synched, copied or moved".
If anyone knows how to fix this, or can tell me a tool similar to the explorer function on activesync (so I can copy files from one side to the other) I would be much apreciated.
Thanks
If I were to delete a file in the tablet that was sent from the PC using File Manager or Total Commander, the next time if I were to connect the tablet to the PC and browse the files in the PC, the deleted files will still appear there.
This is the same if I were to use an extracting software to extract .rar files in my tablet, I would be unable to find the extracted files when connected to the PC. As if all the actions performed in the tablet are not reflected when browsing with usb connection.
I have already performed restoration to factory and cold boot twice, but the problem still persist. Is it a common problem with all TF300TG or some settings that I've misconfigured to cause this problem?
Also if I were to copy a lot of files from the PC to the tablet at once, a popup indicating "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" will appear and stopping the copying procedure. Is it because the tablet is unable to handle copying too many file at once and I have to copy in groups or is there a problem with my device itself?
BTW I'm using stock firmware 4.2.1
I connected my phone via USB to my computer, selected all folders/files, and copied them to my PC. The operation stopped a few times (I believe when the phone went to sleep when I forgot to keep doing something every 10 minutes). I selected the last folder which was copied (alphabetical order) plus the rest of the files and continued copying.
I'm worried I may have missed some folders or perhaps hidden system files, etc. I'm trying to take a complete backup before flashing a new ROM. How can I list/view the # of files and folders on my device? I can easily do it on the PC and I'd like to compare to ensure I have everything. Please help.
If you've connected your device, while working, to that PC, than your Driver for the Fuel is most likely installed, but if not, than keep reading.
What this driver is good for is if you have soft bricked your device, Looping boot animation or your phone simply won't boot, your Fuel will probably not recognize on your computer, or at least only that some device is connected but won't determine what it is.
First, and foremost, extract the contents of the zip. file. To "install" or rather copy the files into your system, open up the folder you have downloaded labeled, lgl34c Driver, there may be 2 of the same folders, where you will find the file Windows. Copy that and paste on your local storage disk which may look like "Local Disk (C." This can be found by going to "This PC" or anything labeled in that nature.
If while copying it says that there are 5 files with the exact same name, then that means the driver is already installed onto your PC, in which case, this is an unnecessary process.
Right after copying, it may say that you must be an administrator to add files, just select "continue."
CONGRATULATIONS! You're Fuel's Driver has been installed!
Hello,
I have a Nexus 6P running LineageOS 15.1.
So I have a folder with 5000 images.
When I copy this folder to my phone, I can see that the folder only has 4991 images.
So I though 9 images must have failed in copying (although I didn't get any error).
So I copied the same folder from my phone to another folder on my PC and it showed it had 5000 images.
I find this really strange, Android shows that the folder has 4991 images while Windows shows that it has 5000 images.
What is this happening? None of the images are hidden in the Windows filesystem, neither do they have a dot in front of them to be hidden on a Linux file system.
Bump.
Is it a bug of Lineage OS?
