[8 Mar 11][ROM][Ginger Bread]Kumar's DHD Ginger Sense V1.0 Test (ACE)
Introduction:
Basically, i was/am a windows mobile cook and tasted android in HD2 and got addicted to it
Bought Desire HD lately and i was verymuch impresed with Android with high end hardware of DHD.
As android seems to be the future of Mobile OS for some years atleast, i wanted myself to be not left alone along with the disappearing wm.
Iam very much new to Linux & android stuff but thanks to XDA, i can start learning with the help of so many friends here. Thanks to everyone who have helped me and directed to the right direction in android cooking.
Thanks to:
Most of the friends who helped me to start with, sorry if i miss someone.
My major thanks to dxida for his excellent kitchen, Chainfire, Leedroid, Mike1986, Phunkycow, robocik, Rey-619, xmoo and others.

This rom is really look stock first of all...
Everything looks work fine after full wipes(full wiper 1.3) and flashing with CWM 3.0.Just restore all my apps with TB and i have no problem until now.Wifi ok,mobile network ok,market ok,GPS ok.I can see only the problem with lugs, like the other roms, for 2-3 sec. when i waking up the phone. So far so good...I didnt change radio yet but i dont have signal problem yet...
Finally nice work friend...Until now i cant see any problem more than other roms which have more experiences cookers in android...
Keep up...Hope for better test 2...

Hello, "skr_xd" I was looking in forums and find out Kumar's Android ROM nice to see you here I used your WM ROM's.
My story is pretty the same as yours I also was WM user and ROM tester and I had HD2 (just for 4 months) but when I started to use Android on it I understand that I need better phone so here we meet again. Both with same device.
I wish you good luck to create ROM's for DHD and I'm also new to Android ROM's so if you wold like to work together with me please PM me. Maybe we can make something interesting together.
Mod, feel free to delete/move this thread if you found it useless.

OK so whats the deal?
Does this prevent random people from posting irrelevant things on development thread?
If it doesn't, please be informed this does not belong here
Aroma installer is huuuuuuuuge!!! I remember Dorimanx roms on HD2, can't wait to see something like this on our GN.

I don't need another TROLL in here. This is a HUGE news that belong to Development section. As i mentioned at the top of the post, MOD can remove/move this thread if they think this is useless.
This ROM Installer will be useful for all the Custom Rom Modders!
OP,
I think you need to put [DEV] in the Title.
Thread moved

This does not belong in Development, nor is anyone a troll for pointing it out. Posting something in Development that isn't your own work is against the rules, doing so willfully is even worse.
Hi guys!
Here is the story:
I broke the screen of my actual phone (Motorola RAZR HD (xt925)) so I'm using my father's old phone (HTC Explorer (pico)), I wasn't happy with the stock ROM so I decided to unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and I started to test ROMS (CM's based because I like them since the first versions 4.x on my old HTC G1 R.I.P. ), I found MiniCM10 the fastest, smoothest and stable for this device. I decided to mod it a bit (some build.prop tweaks, some init.d tweaks, deleted some apps, a bit KK themed, etc.) and I want to share it.
My question is:
Should I post it on Android Development or some other place? I ask this because 1.- isn't built from sources and 2.- I wont be able to bring support because this is just a temporary phone for me.
Thanks in advance.

I think you can make a thread in development not Original development but read rules of posting before posting

Smoothness > kitkats - for me
+i follow your threads ((i dont know but if you see all of efforts to ONLY this little pico we can do a lot of thins to improving it))
Could I extract the appropriate apk(s) from a Sense rom and install them on another (not Sense rom) or is that impossible (or just asking for trouble)?
I know, its a amazing sense clock and as I know it makes part of the htc sends. So i guess that outside sens it doesn't work.

Thanks for your reply, DO Launcher seems pretty nice. But I was actually referring the Sense 3.x clock with weather. My bad, should have been more clear. As I'm a Xperia user, I don't really keep track of the UI changes of other frameworks.
Hello,
I am new to this site, and new to this thing, but I am interested to update my HTC one V with some custom ROM (jellybean or higher) and I wanna know some info about which one is the most stable and popular one, with no bugs or trivial bugs.. It is frustrating because they are plenty of ROMs and kernels here.. and what is the difference between AOSP and AOKP version? somewhere I read that aokp is less stable but better... I actually want features included RAM and CPU clocking, because this is the coolest thing in these custom ROMs.. :cyclops:
- I have HTC one V (GSM) rooted and bootloader unlocked
- I have CWM recovery 6.0.3.3 installed
- I have official android v4.0.3
so which ROM you guys prefer to me and which kernel that goes along? and is my CWM version ok or I need other one?.. I really want to get more of this phone than I am getting now.. it's a really nice phone but it's a bit lazy when operating tasks, so it's not for impatient users
I am new to this, but I somehow succeeded to root my V, thanks for detailed instructions on this site, so thanks to you guys ..now I just have to update my ROM, and I will be more than happy
