Is it possible to get the old 4.4 camera while staying on 4.4.2?

I prefer the image quality of the old camera over the new one but I also don't want to lose some of the bug fixes that came with the 4.4.1/4.4.2 update

You can try and extract the camera.apk from 4.4 and install it, but I don't think it'll work

[Q]How could use HDR+ as stock 4.4.2 in OMNI or CM11?

I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857 but still no HDR+ in camera
And I copied the apks and libs from the stock ROM including---
app/GalleryGoogle.apk
app/GoogleCamera.apk
framework/com.google.android.camera2.jar
lib/libgcam.so
lib/libgcam_swig_jni.so
lib/libjni_eglfence.so
lib/libjni_filtershow_filters.so

Wipe the dalvik cache,reboot --- not work..
So how could I got the HDR+ Mode in OMNI or CM11? Thanks a lot.

Or try PA Gapps, work just fine with Omni as well, use them all the time no problem.

i use cm11 and got hdr cam by flashing banks gapps camera package, maybe it works for omni aswell

It should be.
Coming from an HTC, I've always felt like stock had the best quality, but that's probably due to a ROM direct from HTC, where as Nexus is just straight AOSP, so the quality should be perfectly fine.

The 4.4.4 Gapps comes with a new Camera app , that is better than the defualy CM11 , the CM11 camera app only goes upto 3MP software can check photo details aftertaking even though settings say 8mp .. so flash th 4.4.4 Gapps and try that camera , so far i like it , plus the focus does work :highfive::highfive::highfive:

I FLASHED MY GAPPS AFTER FLASHING FXP325 , so im not sure if it will bring u problems if u flash that Gapps ontop of another Gapps, i recommend flash install incase of any fc's.

Can someone share the CyanogenOS camera?
I've downloaded the app from apkmirror but panorama isn't supported. The app crashes.

Download CameraMod Next for OnePlus One. It's essentially an upgraded version of the stock COS camera app which works great on ROMs like CM & co.
Panorama included and working of course.

Version 10 is the latest one. I suggest downloading the black icon version so you can tell it apart from other installed camera applications.

Awesome tip on the camera app, thanks!
My main bugbear with all the apps I had tried was noise and speed, this seems to solve both with denoise on.
What's the best way to ensure I me always has the latest release of the app?
I'm so used to play auto updating, and am running stock COS.

Sadly we can't use the stock camera in custom ROMs. It relies on the libs present in EMUI.
