Hey Guys,
After the first version of the ON THE GO APIHELP I felt it very important to include the APIs and UIs which are being used in the apps increasingly nowadays like the custom listview, custom toast,SQLite Database management,Navigation Drawers,GridViews so that beginners can gain more understanding of the current patterns and trends in the development happening everywhere.
The Main Objective of my Application is given below:
----------------------ON THE GO APIHELP 2.0------------------
The main Objectives of the ON THE GO APIHelp
Are as follows:
1)Gives a Great Kick start for the beginners
in Android Java and XML.Introduces the beginners
to special classes of java like Activity,Intent,
Interfaces like OnClickListeners and gives a
fair understanding of Activity Life Cycle.
Beginners can look at the Output of the code
provided and have fun in deploying simple low level
apps on their devices
2)For The Intermediate Guys This App is of great help
as it provides an 'ON THE GO' reference to the required
API as well as code right in their pockets. They just need
to slide their devices out of their pockets and look at it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any Queries/Suggestions/Comments regarding the Application can be mailed directly to
me from the app itself using Suggest Activity and shall be answered as soon as possible.
Positive Comments and Suggestions are heartily welcomed.

Works for me using version: 2.3.6
Tested on new Market version: 3.1.3 and it works
This is a cool idea for coders & developers, but do you see this applying to mainstream users? If so, how?

Except for the search for "package" the rest is simple and easy to use ...
Haha I am not talking about ease of use, though it is good that this is easy to use. My question is more: what would general consumers use it for?

Google disclose API document at http://developer.android.com/reference/classes.html.
However many useful classes and methods hidden by Google and manufacture, and developers be restricted to implement more advanced function.
For instance, the Bluetooth API was disclosed at Android 2.3, but it's available at Android 2.2 already. And the "android.randerscript" package for 3D calculation was disclosed at Android 3.0, but it's existed at Android 2.3 already.
Google list 3112 classes at API document, but this tool found 9082 classes at Galaxy Nexus. In other words, more than 5000 classes were hidden by Google, and those classes may be the key point to help developer to implement advance function.
Try to discover more useful classes and method at your Android device, it may help you to make more miraculous function at your application.
You can download this tool at URL below.

This is going to be fun
Awesome. Thank you.
Very Awesome.

AWESOME! Thanks a lot
This is absolutely useful, when you want to develop, without going to your browser each time and to search it.
A nice time-saver !
Thank you !
Really Awesome.
Thanks!
I was just wondering, would it be possible to scan for Content Providers as well? I guess that would make the app even more useful

Dear forceu,
Does you means scan context which provided by ContentProvider? I'll study for that, thanks for your suggestion.
No, I actually meant scanning APKs for declared ContentProviders in the Manifest. (Eg the SMS-Provider).
And, if possible, list the needed permission for the content provider (should be declared in the manifest as well).
Example in a manifest:
Code:
<provider android:name="xxx.NotesContentProvider"
android:authorities="xxx.NotesContentProvider"
android:readPermission="xxx.PERMISSION" />
Nice ill be giving this a try

hi,
i agree i have not been able to give much love to this baby of mine. however there are large number of changes that are happening now.
including change in google app store policy which might make all the tools listed in this app as non conforming and lead to there removal i am trying to find a way out for the scenario.
As of now i am trying to setup a aptoide repository and see if i can get permission from all the tool owners to upload a version there.
Am interested
Where can I download it? Please give a link
Soo more specificly, what does this app do?

Hi XDA! You might have seen my previous app, PulseFlash which was made in the process of learning Android app development. This is once again made for the same reason.
This tiny Compass app was made Graphics Designer new to the app development scene, thus it is very clean. I've utilized most of Android's framework, making this app fit right in!
This app doesn't need any permissions from Android. The hardware used is sensors already available.
jfeinstein10 for his amazing SlidingMenu library.
A lot of folks over at Stackoverflow.
@SpaceCaker who is my personal Android Wikipedia, didn't help me in this case, but awesome guy anyway.
The main source code is available at my Github, I did not share the graphics, nor styling files. Feel free to use the code, but please do not recreate my app, or something very similar and then share it publicly.
Please do not mirror - I'd like to track my downloads
Its simple and nice.

Not yet no. I am not capable to pay the Google Developer fee yet.
I'm having a question. You're using TYPE_ORIENTATION for the sensor. Isn't this deprecated since API Level 6?

Yes it is, thanks for pointing out!
But I found that when I use a workaround I end up needing more permissions which I don't want to do. Anyhow thanks for the heads up!
It works well, thanks.
Good job, great and simple all, I read in the details that you're 14, if I were you I'd be beyond proud to do something like this at such a young age
Just wrote an Android Wear app to remote control *and view* your cell phone camera live. I have a series of other hacks I plan to do in the near future but here's a start. Open source too so hope people can help contribute and make it better! Welcome feedback, pull requests, suggestions.
On the play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dheera.wearcamera
Source on GitHub:

Post on my website:
http://dheera.net/projects/android-wearcamera
Now you can spy on people and take photos of them without them knowing it xD
Very cool app. Works well. Thanks for this!!
Sent from my HTC One M8
This is brilliant!!! Absolutely brilliant!!!
Well done!
Totally awesome app!
I've made a bunch of updates to Wear Camera Remote since the first release now. I've added basic support for turning the flash on/off and switching between front/rear camera. But I'm doing it differently than all those paid apps (e.g. Pixtocam) in that I want the UI to blend in well with Google's UI. Also small buttons on a smartwatch is awful to use.
More features to come in the future when I get time, stay tuned. Or if someone wants to help extend this vision, it *is* an open source GPL project.

Awsome app !
Can you consider for the next version to be able to disable the screen on the phone ?
It's this for nexus devices only or all phones? It doesn't seem to work on my LG G3.

Not working on my HTC One either. The only app that's given me phone->watch video is LookBehind but it cost like $2. In any event, people are blown away by this James Bond-esque feature
