I can't really help you with your temperature "problem", you may check the gpu frequency?
Well, I just found 2 benchmarks and compares for the Xperia Z and Note II,

If the only problem is the temperature, it won't worth to sell your Xperia Z.
As the benchmarks says the Z is better for gaming, but the NII is also really good.

Note II is good for gaming as much as the other expensive phones of samsung brand. Many ppl have the same problem as you. You can check this topic "[Q] Galaxy Note 2 overheating ??" (Sorry but I can't give you a link becuase I dont have the requirements of posts)
In my opinion Note II is overheating because of the performance of the phone

I dont really understand what you mean, but here is what I think. If you have a problem with your xperia Z and if your guarantee still covers your phone then you could contact your seller and ask him what is happening to your phone. On the other hand if your guarantee is over, you could sell your phone and I suggest you buy the S4 instead of Note II, because S4 is more popular and has better ROM support and not only.

I am not sure. I have read something about overheating but not sure what exactly it was, so I dont want to confuse you. You can read some information for both devices and see which one is better for you, but as I said above I think S4 is the better choice.

The main purpose of the phone is to talk by them. If you want to play games I suggest you buy a tablet. Anyway..
I think S4 is a great phone, which is able to run every single game without any problem. However, in my opinion S4 is a great phone which you can use for everything and also I am thinking of buying it.

I recommend the QUAD core phones! They are awesome!

Yes, it does not have a SD Slot. But if gonna buy a smartphone like this, you won't use much more space (4 GB for user, not total.)
And Sony wins with the specs and features of U.

The U is so amazing for a low end device, very good design and solid quality. The Ace 2 looks like an uninspiring piece of crap if you put it side by side with the Sony. It may have slightly better specs but man, at this price it's no night and day difference at all. I'd go for the U. The Lumia 610 will have a very hard time in this price range with that bad boy around.

Well, both devices have their pros and disadvantages, the xperia U has a faster processor and a really good screen due to the bravia engine. What it's bad about it is the 4gb memory without sd card slot, so you need to think about it if you listen to a lot of music and take a lot of pictures. I'm not a big fan of samsung because the materials feel really cheap.
In my opinion, the xperia U is waaay much better, you can consider the Xperia P too
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is much better. The Xperia U is 100% plastic too so don't listen to these trolls.
In terms of specs Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 wins no contest. The Xperia U has an extremely laggy UI and browser which is very disappointing

Are you serious? Timescape is way lighter than TouchWiz. It is plastic? And? I bet it feels better than Ace. Browser, wait a little until ICS. And the design? Sorry, the same design being used by over 2 years is better than something new every year? And I think you didn't see the awesomeness of the BRAVIA Engine and the colour changing Transparent Bar

I'm planning to order an xperia j in a week or two,but i saw that many people have problems with it.Some say that sony just released some defective phones,and that's why.
I'm just scarred that I might end up with a defective one too,sure I can change the os,but if the problem is hardware,then what?!
Also,the big problem is that there isn't a big error,like the phone not starting up,so if I take it to be repaired with the warranty,what am I gonna say? Hey,the phone lags in games,that's the problem?!

then dont get a j. games like gta maxpayne and so on are not ment for a 1ghz processors. you can always get a 2011 flag ship for the same money but thats 2 year old hardware. its like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. the j's rival galaxy ace 2 even though its a duo core its only a 800mhz processor same as xperia miro. i my self love my j its a good little phone in my opinion.
No, go for Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro. There is better out there for same price.
And these are not faulty models. Everything is working ok in every model. Only phones above cost the same and are better (processor, games, screen).
Don't worry about defective phones as they are not.

if u have more money , Sammy S3 mini , HTC sensation XE its not a bad choice imo.
My gf using xperia j.. XJ is a good phone, but not for gaming.. its suitable for you if you need a phone only for entertain media and messeging.

Go for Xperia go, u, sola or galaxy ace (though it had 800mhz processor it is twice fast than j)
Don't go with arc s, neo etc they are worse than XJ....:laugh:

The display is good. I had S2 and hated over-saturated colors and the tint, O.O Battery life is good, too. There's a slight problem with the bloatware draining battery uselessly and the famous media scanner bug in 4.1.x
It's a good phone in this range, probably the best. Although Camera is a little too horrible.

I will help you to get ftf firmware file. So if you break anything with rooting or somehow you can always go back to what your phone came when you bought it. A complete noob can do it.
You only need to reflash your phones firmware with SMUS and upload few files to web.
You don't void warranty and you do not need root.
It'll help you to get forums maybe

it is not a very good idea to work blindly for a device (especially kernels)
to be specific I would like to say
1. do not work blindly on a device if you do not own at least a similar device (similar or same SoC and vendor, like all the 2011 Xperias)
2. even if working on a device is not a problem, releasing it to a place like XDA makes it a tad dangerous for the users.
Xperia E/J/Tipo/Miro. Save up now users. you may want to take a look at this
Xperia E1 ( sounds like a weaker way weaker z1 to me but the specs are rocking )

I think E1 will be priced around 10k rupees and T2 ultra will be around 25k rupees.

Im using xperia z but since my xz has one dead pixel...i decide to sell it rather to repair it...and im on budget...so i really into xperia e3 now...(i buy my xz from other country...means if i want to get my phone repaired under warranty, i must go back to the country...im in malaysia and the phone is singapore)
This is one silly question...but i know this phone is mid-range phone but...can it play game Injustice?

I haven't tried playing injustice on this phone. But I remember it worked smoothly on my previous phone which has 768 ram and 1ghz dual core.So I think it will be buttery smooth on this phone also

Yes every game is lag free.. I tried many games and played for very long time ... I have tested it with Need for speed most wanted 2012, wwe immortals , real steel the are just awesome and lag free .. nfs is 4gb game though it is lag free .... it is a best phone one can get in this range.

I played asphalt 8 at high settings lag free injustice lag free max payne lag free raptide gp1&2 lag free. I never seen any game lagged on sony Xperia e3

Hi all,
Finally, i goty xperia e3!...here's my tough about it:
- Simple design, beauty display (for it class)
- Superb-batt (i heard sony claims that the batt is similar to z3 batt performance -via google)
- Confortable in hand/grab...
- 1st i see a 1 tiny little dead/stuck pixel but after run a dead/stuck pixel app i download via google play, and run a night, it dissapears...thank God...it drive me crazy to see my another xperia got dead/stuck pixel...
- Guess what, i got a free gift from sony...a sony xperia t-shirt!

Yes, rooted and moved all apps to sd then i installed injustice from playstore you can use obb on sd or xinternal sd to move data to external sd.

guys, anybody tell me any game that lag on this device,
i can,t understand why people buy phones like z3 if games won,t even lag on e3 they can save too much money by buying e3 instead of z3. i,ve played many high_end games on max setting they run amazingly smooth.

People dont buy phones to play games. And those high end phones are way better than this.

I know they are better but 2.5ghz for what.
what you gonna do with a phone which have Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor and Adreno 330.
is there any app which uses that much power.
also even powerfull pc,s are called gaming pc cuz power are mostly used in gaming.
(also can be used for video editing on pc and many thing,s)

Thanks, but i change my mind since i read a statment at Sony Developer World, when root, my E3 will void warranty...so i just stick with it and buy Lenovo tab or else just to play my favouruit Injustice...
