as the title goes.. how do i turn off equalizer on my stock Sony Live with Walkman WT19i (updated to ICS)
before i updated my phone from GB to ICS, i can use third-party equalizer (e.g. "Equalizer") but now walkman uses its built-in equalizer instead and i need to force stop the walkman equalizer service just to get Equalizer app working as it should. is there any workarounds to completely disable walkman built-in eq?
back to GB
Okay, nevermind I'll just go back to Gingerbread since I found out I'm not the only one having many issues with Ice Cream Sandwich, especially battery drain problems.
I have followed instructions of how to install Walkman app for Sony Xperio Tico. I have done this successfully. However when I select Sound Enhancements in the Walkman app I only see a 5 band EQ without Clear Bass. I do not see any other Clear Audio functions either. How can I get Clear Audio functions working on the Walkman app? Please help.
Did u put soundenhancemants.apk in system/app/
If u didn't download from 6th page in this thread

How to fix the low audio in earphones
I'm sure most people here have noticed that the audio in the earphones is very low and doesn't deliver very good sound, but I have found a easy fix for this which takes like 5 minutes to apply.
Requirements:
Viper4Android FX
Root

1. The first thing you need to do is to install the Viper4Android FX app and then start it. It will ask you to install sound drivers, when it does do that select the option "Hiqh Quality", it's the optimal option in terms of battery life and sound quality. After the drivers have been installed, reboot your phone to make sure they have been loaded successfully.
2. Now open the Viper4Android app again and select "Headset" at the top, then check the box for enable under Master Power. After you have done that, check the enable box for Playback Gain Control, and in "Select effect strength" chose Extreme.
Enjoy! The sound should be alot higher now and the bass should also have been improved by this quick fix.
Thanks a lot for this awesome mod mate !!
Btw, isnt this app similar to dsp manager ? Can you please clear that up for me ?

I'm quite sure of that this app is based on DSP Manager sources, but this app is much better in terms of loudness and such so don't waste your time on DSP manager.
Has anyone tried the inbuilt Audio Enhancement option... All yu have to do is
Long press the home screen to get the usual Widget/Apps/Wallpaper/Theme options...
Select 'Apps'...
And then 'Shortcuts'...
You should see a long list for apps. Select 'Setting Shortcut'
And finally you should see a list. Select 'Audio Profile'. Select that option.
This should create a shortcut on your home screen... Now click on the new icon on your home screen...
You should see options like to create new audio profiles and at the bottom, an option for sound enhancement for earphones...
Let me know if this works for you...

Mate, the audio enhancement option can be easily accessed via the walkman itself.
No need to go through such a big hassle just to get to the option
My friend they are not the same...
The sound enhancement that I am talking about is only for earphones... That means for listening music or while on calls...
The option you are talking about is meant only for Walkman app or music apps like Google music... This option is for both earphone and the phone's speaker...

Sorry mate , you were right
However, I tried it and it makes the audio much worse, the details, bass and overall sound becomes really jarring .
Btw thanks for the info
Hi guys......... i just found the Xperia Z1 Sony Select app with it's really cool widget. It's much better than the stock Sony Select of the Xperia E and it has a Walkman- like background colorizing function . It also has the Xperia Theme section, but our devices have only JB 4.1 so we can't use it.
The Sony Select Widget also shows films and music from Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited.

Hey.
I recently switched from Huawei Ascend Y300 to Zopo ZP998 and I noticed poor audio quality (bass). I'm using same Sony headphones as on Huawei. I installed Beats Audio driver and it improved but not as much as it was before. Tryed also with DSP manager but again still not same bass as before.
Is there any solution for this? I'm on stock ROM (4.2.2.) with root rights.
Hi,
You have this app => [PORT APP][4.1+][2014/05/31] Xperia Z2 WALKMAN™ | The Best Clear Audio Experience
this => [APP][PORT][ICS/JB/KK][4.0-4.4] SONY Media Applications Xperia Z1 "2014-01-13"
And finally, I invite you to go here and search a little bit=> Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games
I'm sure that you will find the app for your device for a good sound as you want and like
