How to make cwm flashable zips by phone or pc - Micromax A110

Today I am sharing how to make cwm flashable zips for like flashing an app, a framework file a bootanimation or anything
You will need a Blank CWM zip
Download from here
http://d-h.st/XCG
Thanks @dev_host
And you will need a nice file manager
I recommend ES file explorer or Root browser
Now after downloading zip
Let think you want to flash an app
Then
1) Extract cwm zip that you downloaded above
2) Dont make any changes to Meta-Inf folder but make another folder System and then in system folder make a folder App ( as you know system apps are placed inside system>app then you have to make same path)
3) place an app into app folder which you want to flash and then archieve the two folders i.e. MetaInf and system into .zip format, compression level - Normal
And its ready now you can flash it by cwm uou can also do it by pc as using 7zip or winrar.
Now if you want to flash and framework then instead of making system >app folders make system>framework similarly if you want to flash any bootanimation
make folder System>media
Now I think you understand what you have to do

Don't know it's possible currently but you can always restore the cwm backup using cwm, then flash twrp, and do a backup with twrp. Now it's converted. Quite a hassle but this is one way I know how.

Found this http://www.droidviews.com/create-flashable-zip-cwmtwrp-backup/
It says:
Code:
Create Flashable Zip from CWM/TWRP Backup
The method for creating flashable Zip from CWM and TWRP backups are different as both the recoveries use different techniques to backup the device.
For CWM Backup
Transfer the CWM backup from Phone to PC.
Extract system.ext4.tar file with any of the archive apps like Winrar or 7zip, you will get the system folder of your device containing all the files.
Gather the boot.img from the CWM backup.
Now collect a META-INF folder from any custom ROM which is made for your device. Make sure you get the correct Meta-Inf folder, else the Zip won’t work and might worsen the condition of your device.
Select the META-INF, System folders and the boot.img and right click your mouse and select add to Archive.
In the Archive settings, choose the extension of the compressed file as Zip (Make sure of this part)
That’s it, your flashable Zip is now ready and you can flash it using any custom recovery.
For TWRP Backup
Transfer the TWRP backup from Phone to PC.
You’ll see a file named system.ext4.win which is the System partition backup of your device. Rename it to system.ext4.tar (Changing its extension from .win to .tar)
Extract the system.ext4.tar using an archive software like Winrar or 7zip.
If your TWRP backup is not in compression mode, you will directly get the system folder, else you will get a file named system.ext4, which should be renamed again to system.ext4.tar and extract it to get the system folder.
Take the boot.emmc.win file and rename it to boot.img.
Now you can use this Zip file to flash it on your Custom recovery.

I found out the most Easy way to edit .apk right from ur android

Hi every one,
Today is my first day with xda premium app and am happy to tel u guys that I found out a easy way to edit .apk files right from ur rooted android mobile without the help of PC or development knowledge.. am a newbie not a dev!
So here is wat u need to begin
1) The apk file which u need to edit
2) Root explorer or any root file browser
3) Zipsigner 2 or any signing tool
4) patience to scroll between folders
So lets begin;
Open the root explorer and long click the apk file in /sdcard
Extract all the contents and go to extracted folder; in most of the case u get 5 files
Among them Delete Meta - inf folder and in res folder u can edit wat u want
Make sure not to delete anything except Meta Inf folder
Replace the png which u need
Remember while replacing a png the name should be exact as the parent file
After playing wit files go back and multiselect the remaining 4 files and zip them wit any name
After zipping rename the .zip file into .apk file using the same root explorer
Now go to zipsigner app and sign the modified apk file with platform key
Uninstall the app which u want to replace and install the modified apk and here u go u have ur customized app in ur menu LOLZ.. reply if u have any problems and pls pls don't forget to hit thanks button..
Hit thanks button if I had helped u..
Galaxy y wit xda premium
Renaming to zip needs a file manager asusual I have mentioned root explorer.. and next u have to unzip it.. doesn't reduce steps if u name it to zip..
Using galaxy y and xda premium
Hit thanks button if I had helped u
NinjaMorph. Done.
I'm gonna try this mate, hopefully as easy as mention

Use this xplore "x-plore "
This is give
Open apk as zip
Option ..
The same option is in root explorer as "extract the contents" and dealing with ninjamorph didn't help me and some times after applying theme using ninja and reboot whoa I was stuck at boot loop.. so this process is safe than any other
Using galaxy y and xda premium
Hit thanks button if I had helped u

a little lost

ok i am trying to put the aeon rom on my infuse, it is rooted with cwm installed. i downloaded the rom from this site , went thru the whole google drive thing and all.ok it downloaded in winrar format , so i created a folder and renamed it zip and put on desktop and then transfered to internal memory on phone. ok i rebooted to cwm , did the wipes like it said then went to install zip from sd, it found the zip and when i selected it it showed all the files in the folder, data,meta-inf,scripts sd card, system ,updates and install busybox. now i am lost as to what to do . do i select these 1 by 1 or did i screw up somewhere before hand.
The file you downloaded should be a zip. Not sure about all the shuffling you did, but you should be able to place the zip you downloaded on your internal sd and flash from recovery. You should not have to do a single thing to the ROM when downloaded other than flash.
Edit...sounds like you were unable to flash the ROM because it was a folder, as opposed to a zip file. Don't pull stuff out of the package, just try changing it from..rar to .zip..then flash.

**** , it keeps downloading as a winrar file , anyway to fix that
ok i did away with my winrar and now have winzip, is that what your talking about or is zip file different, ok looks like i got it now thx alot for the help
Glad you got it. For future flashing, the package you download should be all you need to flash in recovery. No need to pull out files or recreate zips. The devs try to make it easy as possible.

I think your winrar/winzip is just the program.associated with he .zip...i think it was always a .zip...as winzip is not a file...winrar is not a file either...they are just two different programs...

Yes sir i pm him on that...but your correct...

Question about flashing

I was curious if there is a way to extract a zip file instead of using CWM to flash it, for instance let's say I have a different keyboard that can be flashed through CWM but I don't want to flash it I'd rather just extract files and put them somewhere using root explorer, can this be done? And if so could someone tell me how to do it and where to put the files? Thank you

If you unzip the file to flash, you will notice a file hierarchy in the zip. Follow that hierarchy to the file(s) you want and then use a root explorer to paste the file(s) in the same location. Then reboot and if you pasted everything correctly, it should make that change.

Okay, so what I have are 2 folders in the unzipped file in root explorer, one is labeled META-INF and the other is System. In the system there is an app and a lib folder, the app folder contains apps and the lib contains files with the extension .so, so I'm assuming paste the app files in the system/app folder and the .so files in the system/lib folder, correct? Now the META-INF folder contains files a com folder and three files, CERT.RSA, CERT.SF, and MANIFEST.MF. the com folder turns into a Google folder, then an Android folder which contains 2 files, update-binary and update-script. I pretty much have no idea what to do with everything in the META-INF folder. Could you possibly help with that I'd greatly appreciate it.

Ignore the META-INF folder, that is used for the actual flashing procedure. Most apps can be installed without the certificate and manifest.
The app files would go in
Code:
/system/app
The library files (.so) would go in
Code:
/system/lib

[Q&A] Deodexed Stock System for Xperia C (16.0.B.2.16)

Q&A for Deodexed Stock System for Xperia C (16.0.B.2.16)
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer. Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

This is not a ROM, It is only the Deodexed Stock System Folder, for those who wish to make some Custom ROMs or want to edit their Stock System files, but are unable to do that due to .odex files. Here all odex files are removed and classes.dex files are introduced in their .apk. Which helps developers make make ROMs and people to edit and develop things.

The zip contains a system folder. Using a Root Explorer replace your stock System folder with the system folder present inside this zip file. And then reboot your device. By this method you will have a deodex Stock System in your device.

If you want to get this deodexed system into your device then just copy "app" and "framework" folder from this zip file and paste and replace these folders into your system's "system" folder using Root Explorer...
Or you can do one more thing. Download a Custom ROM for Xperia C and then place this system folder (from this thread) into that ROM zip file and flash the ROM...

Apologize in advance, With file copying deodex one by one to the ODEX file, what will not have bootloop? And what files should I move to ODEX file? What only app folder and the folder framework? Or is there another folder should I move to folder ODEX?

The only thing you have to do is to copy the "app" and "framework" folder from the zip that you download from this thread and paste them into the "system" folder of your mobile phone (replace the preexisting folder). You can do this using app called Root Explorer

Just open yhe system folder of your mobile using Root Explorer application and there you will find the "app" folder and "framework" folder delete those folders. (DO NOT RESTART YOUR DEVICE AFTER THIS). Then open the zip file that you will download from this thread. In that zip file you will find a folder named system and inside it you will find a folder named "app" and a folder named "framework" copy these folders and place them into your mobile's system using the same Root Explorer file. Now Restart your device.
