[Completed] Can't unlock the bootloader on my Xperia Sola... - XDA Assist

I've been trying to unlock the bootloader on my phone and I checked if my phone is able to be unlocked... it does.
Only thing that is preventing me from doing so is that I don't get an email back from Sony after I enter my IMEI code and email and stuff.
It's been a day and I tried like 4-5 times. No email. What to do? I'm frustrated

Hey there..
I would recommend you to head on to this thread as it gives a detailed info about rooting your xperia s..
Follow each and every step carefully as unlocking bootloader is a very dangerous process and might hard brick your device if not properly done..
Cheers.

Thanks for answering! But this tutorial still mentions about getting the "unique unlock key" from the official sony site, which I can't receive.

Better check the junk/spam folder too.
Or maybe wait for a little more time like maybe 2 days.
and if even then you don't get any email, then better contact them via the online consumer assistance.
The details of which can be found on the sony website.
Good luck.

[SOLVED] SimpleUnlock.co.uk LT18i bootloader Unlock Testpoint

Hi guys,
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S (LT18i) with a locked bootloader and I bought a credit at www.simpleunlock.co.uk site to unlock it (very good price, 10£).
I used the method as referred in the instructions: Here
I also used a paperclip to do the GND-TESTPOINT connection.
The result is this:
Waiting phone attach...OK
Connect to [ZEUS Flash Device]
Writing QCLoader...
Click to collapse
But the process hangs in here FOREVER.
After this is says "Fail" as if the driver has no permissions to write.
Can this be the TestPoint? Can this be the simpleunlock.co.uk software?
Has anyone tried this with this site? Or anyone has seen this issue?
I am hoping that someone says "they don't do that. ask for refund and go for Omnius" or something like "that's what happens when you don't have the testpoint connected. Get another paperclip.".
Thanks to everyone that tries to help us out.
******** EDIT **********
The guys at www.simpleunlock.co.uk did a full refund.
The "Omnius" online service worked flawlessly
Cheers

Is simpleunlock.co.uk a SCAM?!
The guys at SimpleUnlock stopped responding to my Help requests.
I went for the Omnius online service and the unlock worked right from the first attempt.
Now I'm asking for a Full Refund to Simpleunlock.co.uk
Here's the refund email:
Your message has been correctly sent to our Customer Service.
Your message: Hi.
I need a refund of my 1 credit that has not been used.
It doesn't work on my LT18i, and I've tried several times as your support send me the pictures and instructions.
Now i have unlocked the bootloader using the Omnius service.
So since yours didn't work, I need a full refund. It's 9.99£ to my PayPal account, that has exactly the same email.

I'm also linking this thread to their Customer Service..
I'll post back news about the outcome of this.
Phk
Full refund received!
Ok, simpleunlock.co.uk can be trusted.
Just don't use it for LT18 Use Omnius instead
Thanks for your contributions and help

[Q] Sony Xperia S Bootloader Unlocking

For people like me who can't unlock their bootloader on the Sony Xperia S because the bootloader unlock option is set to no i.e. the official method below shows no:-
Open the dialer from your device and dial “*#*#7378423#*#*”.
Then, go to “Service info -> Configuration -> Rooting Status”. If the “Bootloader unlock allowed” option is there is perfect and you can complete the operation. If not, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
Is there another way to unlock the bootloader at all?
I realise this will invalidate any warranty but would really like to flash cyanogenmod 9.1 onto it as its so much faster and usable than the stock rom.
Many thanks in advance
Also looking for a way around this... Although my nozomi is unlockable, it fails to unlock with every tool out there...

Same as that.. I thought I'd seen a paid unlocking service somewhere...
+1
I think
S2tool works but sure it's a paid service or try wotanclient
As for those who get a No in status, that's the only option!
For those whose status says Yes,you can unlock officially from Sony website

Sony don't want to send me anything.....

Unblock-able?????
Hello,
So you aren't getting any code from Sony? And what do you mean with unblock-able? That the bootloader cannot be unlocked? If that's the case, ofcourse you don't get a code from Sony! Your bootloader cannot be unlocked! How should they send you a code if you can't unlock your bootloader?
That is my interpretation of the word unblock-able, you're using... Maybe it means something else, so correct me if I'm wrong...
Kind regards and goodluck,
MatsPunt

Trying for a month now to get the code for my arc s an xperia s and they just wont send it. Everything is checked and rechecked on bouth phones but there is is big NO from sony.
YES, the both phones have bootloader unlock status to yes. I guess they simply stoped and forgot to say it to everyone
If you are using Arc or Arc S , unlock Bootloader using EZ-Unlock App, beware since I am not responsible for bricked devices

[Q] I want to unlock bootloader on Xperia E c1505, but Sony sends no email.

I tried the unlock process on Sony's developer site with two different emails. Mail.com and Web.de. How long does it normally take for Sony to answer, seconds or weeks? Anyone lucky in the past 3 days?
I hope someone can provide a functionning email provider or get the code for me?
I'm waiting for 3 days now and if the sony site was automated then it must be broken. Just in case this was true, is there any workaround? I didn't found one so far. Maybe the code could be read on some partition on my phone?
I made a TA-Backup and Service Menu says "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes".
Don't know if I have rights on this. Im getting mad about Sony. I need to flash the kernel. Please help! :crying:
[SOLVED]
I tried again using a new t-online.de address. Worked in seconds.
I'm sorry, that I thought the Sony Site was down or laggy.

Unlocking bootloader imposible

Well, hello to everyone. I bought Sony Xperia Z3 and bought code to unlock it for all sim cards and it works. When i visited Sony's site for unlocking bootloader i came across this post:
In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
Well, my device cannot be unlocked because it says No..
so what can i do to unlock it?

What? Do you know what you are taking about..
Anyway, if the service menu says you cannot do it then it is impossible to unlock it.

Why unlock it? You will lose your DRM keys if you do..

For your device it is not allowed, so you can't unlock the bootloader.
/I've read some threads about trying to unlock the bl although service says "no" on other Devices like z Ultra:
It's not impossible to unlock the bl with official method if you know your device earlier had status allowed "yes".

its necessity if you want an aosp rom .....
Stock basted Roms on most Sony devices are pretty fast and solid in my opinion no need to really unlock unless your desperate for cm
So that's it? If the bootloader can't be unlocked officially, I'm stuck on Sony roms forever?
Wouldn't bother me so much but my Z3 has a horrible bug where it doesn't work with the bluetooth in my car without rebooting first every time. Was hoping to install CM12.
Could be a hardware fault the Bluetooth

It's not that I have any major issues with Sony roms, I'd just like to be able to flash other stuff in the future, should I want to.
I'm still going to keep the Z3, such a nice phone, nothing else really comes close to it for me yet. Maybe the M9, but I just got the Z3 for £260 from o2 and had it network unlocked, probably have been looking at least double that for the HTC.
You can still root the device and customize it. Tools like the XPosed framework are great at modifying specific parts of the ROM.
But to confirm: you're stuck. You can't unlock Sony's unlockable bootloader. I've heard of people trying to unlock it, I've never heard of a successful case.
Enjoy the phone, it's among the best available right now (imho).
