Is it possible that i can change the Network from GSM to CDMA?

Will then a CDMA RUIM work in this phone?

I have XT 1032 Moto G bought in US and i am using it in India now and it has not option of selecting preferred network between 3g and 2g in cellular network setting. I have checked all sim cards here in India only 2G is working.
How can i use 3G on it.
After Rooting and flashing other Rom(CM 13) , option to select preferred network will come or not?
Is this due to ,because this phone is build for US.
