[Q] Return to stock (get warranty back) - LG Optimus 3D

Hi,
I must return to stock ics to get back my warranty. Now i have custom bootloader + cwm and of course custom rom. If i think good that's should i do:
1. Flash official V30a.kdz via KDZ Flashing Software
2. Bring back stock bootloader and stock recovery via simpletool
or
1. Bring back stock bootloader and stock recovery via simpletool
2. Flash official V30a.kdz via KDZ FlashingSoftware
or i was thinking about installing v30a zip in cwm and then return to stock bootloader.
Which option is correct ?

[Q] Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available

What gives? I'm using my P5113 and i want to official stock unroot my tab. So what i did was apply triangle away and wipe to stock ICS firmware via mobile odin (which does not raise the flash counter). I would then upgrade to JB firmware OTA and now when i click for updates i get the "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available." message. Even if i check about<status it says my device status is custom. This method should "officialize" my tab 2, but what gives? I need it to be Official unrooted stock firmware with no signs of modification. Please help!
Edit:
I once again did the same method but i am now back to ICS stock where i am able to update to JB but i am choosing not to, If i check the status, it now comes up as modified instead of custom. Is there a way to show stock?
Ummm , yeah, stock is stock , get rid of any crapware or root it , it becomes unofficial

Even if i reflashed the official firmware and removing the flash count?
If so is there a way for Samsung to know the warranty is void? The method i follow is said to work from a guide here at XDA.

Are you using Custome Recovery.?
Flash with Stock Recovery. I think it should resolve the issue.

Thats's right if you need back to orginal stock system easiest way is :
- flash it to official stock samsung rom - (best way by odin so it will also put back default recovery program)
- root this stock firmware
- use triangle away to reset flash counter
- flash it once again with odin to stock rom (to unroot it)

I was thinking of doing that but thought it was a dumb idea (i'm always doubting myself). Now that you mentioned im thinking it would work. I'll give it a try and let you know.

This didn't seem to work, i used mobile odin pro to flash to stock again while i had stock recovery. I think it still raises the flash counter. Do you think it would work if i unroot it with super su?
You are still rooted with stock rom? That will be problem. If you flashed with mobile odin pro there was an option to root rom while being flashed if i remember correctly try to untick that option
I can confirm that the Super SU method works. I am now official. Thanks for the help everyone!

Dude,
Follow this procedure.
1 Flash ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM)
2 Root the Device
3 Clear Flash Counter from Triangle Away
4 Do wipe data/factory reset through CWM
5 Install Mobile Odin
6 Extract Stock Recovery (Recovery.img) from Stock Rom.
7: Flash it Stock Recovery from Mobile Odin
This is Pure Stock Rom with Root. You should be able to Update your device with OTA updates

This is exactly what i did multiple times and i made sure it was an unrooted flash vith mobile odin, it still seemed to raise my flash counter by 1.
So instead i did your method but rooted it afterwards and then resetted the flash counter. Later i unrooted the device with super su and wiped data using stock recovery. I am now back to normal.

Stock Everything Stock

I don't understand these directions from the FAQ:
"Q. How to get back to stock? I need to give my phone to warranty services how do I revert to official LG rom?
A. Check this thread. It is the v10b 2.2 stock rom as a flashable zip package. If you can't access the recovery, then see if the firmware for your country is available here or use this tool. Download the firmware and use the KDZ tool to flash. You will find instructions to use the KDZ tool on this thread. For a picture guide, check this thread.
Also for official GB lovers, see this and this. It is a v20g rom in flashable zip package. Or if you'd rather flash v20c/g roms from LGMDP, the links for that can be found in this thread.
If you are on Optimus V, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1025911
If you are on the Optimus T, see this post. Uses the KDZ method.
Q. How do I restore the stock recovery?
A. Download the original recovery zip file from here and flash it. (Yes, you can flash a recovery from within recovery itself)"
I have LG P500 from USA T-Mobile. I'm on V20 Baseband.
1)Is kdz the only way to go back to stock?
2)Which way is the safer and better way to get back to stock?
3)How (full instructions) to get back to stock rom for USA T-Mobile?
4)How (full instructions) to get back to stock recovery for USA T-Mobile?
yes you can flash a recovery from recovery, if it is a flashable zip
you need to stick with your phone not other variants of LG p500, O-1(Europe), O-T or O-V, dunno what is the T-mobile USA version, but is it written inside your phone under battery
1) KDZ is for flashing software in your phone, but beware, if you are unexperienced you may brick your phone for good, but you can try it, DO NOT PULL OUT BATTERY OR DO SOMETHING WHILE KDZ IS NOT FINISHED FLASHING PHONE OR YOU WILL HARDBRICK IT (but, I do not think someone at service will notice that, after a hardbrick, it just went dead and nothing else, nobody knows nothing)
2)if you do not know what are you doing, nothing is safe, anyway, as I mentioned, a hardbrick is a hardbrick and if you still have warranty, you are lucky
3)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1824618 search there
4) LG P500 doesn't have stock recovery(just bootloader)
if you do not know what to flash try to find a T-mobile rom image (MAKE A REQUEST-someone will post it), and first time when flashing a recovery is to backup original rom for what will come after
LGMDP will work like this, it upgrades rom when you have an older version, so try to flash an older custom rom, find an Froyo 2.2 and flash it as any custom rom, boot, conect your phone to PC, that means that you have LG USB drivers installed, start LGMDP and w8 to detect your phone, after that goto options & help, select country, carrier, phone, w8 to detect latest update, start update
in case that your phone is not detected, boot into recovery, goto mounts and mount USB, that will make LGMDP detect your phone, start updating

KDZ is generally discouraged . However if you can find a Nandroid back up of GB , then that would be the safest way . I went back to stock froyo with the help of this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955354

Stock ICS Rom for cricket you will find here.
Download the OTA, unzip the firmware.zip inside, and unzip from firmware.zip the recovery inside. This you can flash with fastboot and OTA should work with it.
Otherwise you will find stock JB rom/backup for cricket here.

[Q] Anyone know where I can grab the stock recovery?

I need to flash the stock recovery for my Maxx, but I'm not sure where I can get it. Any ideas?
why do you need it (if you are in custom recovery and hence rooted)? Are you getting ready for the OTA? I hope you have unlocked your bootloader...
Then its better to return to stock as a whole and the details are here... Yes, the recovery will be stock one and you can receive OTA without any issue. BootLoader will still remain unlocked. Re-rooting is also as simple (even after ota MOSTLY) as flashing TWRP recovery..
here it is, grab it.
its 4.4 droid maxx stock recovery.
You can find all stock firmwares here:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=4
Download the 4.4 file and pull the recovery.img file out and flash it with fastboot

[Q] How to get back to stock recovery?

I have 210.12.40.falcon_umts.EURetail.en.EU ROM installed on my XT1032.
I also have TWRP recovery. I want to install Lollipop OTA so I have to get back to stock recovery.
I tried to flash recovery.img from https://mega.co.nz/#!HRpRTR4Q!GNPL3a1Syc8vwholky1wNNfX4rQ-24swytFM6cUVowM via fastboot but it's not working (red triangle). How to do that?
You need to flash back to stock 4.4.4 with no root and stock recovey, update Motorola Services app in the play store, then check for OTA updates..

Please read before answering.
I have stock 4.4.4 and I have OTA avaliable. But I can't install it with custom recovery.
My problem is only that I can't install stock recovery.
Did you unzip the file and try to flash the stock recovery using fastboot?
You did not mention whether your ROM was rooted, had any apps removed, etc,. and this is why I suggest re-flashing to make sure you have a completely stock ROM.
You have the EU retail ROM on your phone and the link is for the Retail GB. Not sure if both ROMs use the same recovery and partition layout.
I've just finished flashing stock recovery, this is the guide I used:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/gpe-ota-lrx21z-5-0-1-xt1033-xt1032-t2969847
You're going to have to download mfastbootv2, Minimal ADB and Fastboot and the batch files, then mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img and I guess you're done.
Though I've did the whole tutorial, so I'm not sure if that one command is enough if you only want to flash recovery, but I think that's all you need.
Need 5.0.1 stock recovery to update to 5.1 ota
Hello, does anyone have the stock recovery image for 5.0.1/LRX21Z.M002? I have been searching google for hours to try and find this image. Any help would be appreciated.

So, for last 2 hours I was trying to flash stock recovery. I tried to flash different ROMs, wiped data and system several times. Nothing seemed to work. After flashing recovery.img from any stock firmware package there always was red triangle and it didn't work. All custom recoveries works.
So since I've already had my data wiped, I just flashed Lollipop with fastboot and it works well. But still doesn't have stock recovery.
