I under clocked my rooted nexus 5 to the following and before I changed to conservative I was on demand. And it was still running at the highest clock speed (2265mhz) sometimes(see screenshot) despite me under clocking. Only way to remedy it is by using conservative. Am I missing something here lol?

There is nothing to be gained by underclocking bro, as the profit of a lower clockspeed is lost by the longer duration of the tasks! 1 - 1 = 0.
So under clocking won't save battery? What about governor is changing to conservative more battery friendly?

Charge the phone completely ..up to 100percent....then install any battery calibration app ....
Then click on calibrate now...
Don't charge again until the battery fully drains to 1 percent
....when it is fully drain ..again charge it to 100%.u are done here...
