I started this thread to help SGS ACE IIx and S Duos owners in thier connectivity bugs....

Hi I ve tried the cm11 120614 from jonypx09 on my S7562 S Duos with the second fix you posted but no luck ril wifi and bluetooth are down, any tips or hints?

So, you have bugs ?
Try the latest cm version from dev
then flash your modem
this should fix wifi bug, i tried it myself, and it's working!
i don't know why it doesn't for you ?!
So u have tested it on s duos and it works ....

ace IIx's blobs (librils..., lib*....,..../etc/*...) must be changed with our one !
i can port this rom, but i'm not planning to do it.....
So library ril and etc should be changed with ours and it will make network issue gone

Of course no, not all of /etc/*
just some parts like /etc/firmware/
+/wifi/
/some other files nd dirs
and /system/lib ===> libril*.so
i can't explain clairly
look at @SeannyM 's github repo you'll find the ace IIx blobs, compare it with your own ones
then, you know what you have to do

U want him to port the rom huh he says he can do it well if it was that easy we would have fix it a long ago.. so keep calm and wait even i am trying from long to fix this ril there is no need to port the rom we jst need our ril to get in to ace 2 to get it working...

yes, it's easy to do it,
about porting, it's better to port it from i9082's cm11, it has dual sim support, so we'll replace the needed files 'n' then flash thier related modem,
and there we go
but i liked the Speed Demon ROM PMP i think that it's more tweaked than CM11

Just make a backup on cwm or twrp and then install the ROM, if u want to restore just do it from the recovery and it will be the same, no changes to stock and all data saved

Guys, I was trying the hell to upgrade the baseband to ICS supported, I flashed successfully A7 V000001(don't count zeroes)....and bricked my A9.....sent it to Karbonn Care they took abt 45 days to repair it....finally I got my A9 back....
All of us are eagerly waiting for ICS running on our A9.....
So further development is needed badly....
So starting this thread for all sort of discussions abt A9 ICS and further research....

Karbonn, Micromax, Celkon etc just rebrands the phone. They dont have the kernel sources event with them. So its almost useless to fight with them for the sources.
finally the basebands have been uploaded on another thread.....i have mentioned there also that pan.baidu link rom has a kernel file.....i flashed that rom using brush technique.....it is a GB rom....but if the kernel file can be modified then we have it in that rom......also there we have ramdisk.img ramdisk-recovery.img persist.img system.img boot.img recovery.img splash.img and userdata.img of stock rom of k-touch w680.....

Guys, the kernel file is not the kernel source, it's the complied kernel.Without the kernel source custom kernels cannot be created.
About the basebands, 5920 is device w710. Our device id is 5912.

Guys!!! I hv made MIUI rom work on our A9......no network issues....data also working....rotation doesnt wrk if sims wrks....and if sims wrk then rotation doesn't wrk......
One big issue... it goes blank after some hours...with touch buttons light on....and doesnt get back to wrk even restarted....
I am trying my best.. bt due to lack of time....i am unable to wrk....it can take month(s).......

Ill put it later on. yes it has a boot.img though you can use your own JB boot.img
Dev flashed successfully but a strange bugs were in
1. Play store does not updates the app.
2. Titanium backup not mounting its backup data.
Due to I can't able browse further but ROM is smooth and colourful.
Since u have mentioned as beta I am waiting for a complete baidu.:thumbup:

The playstore is bugged yet at the moment. Downloading is not working fine. It got stucked.
TB.. you need disable the permission monitor and enable root on Settings > Security
I need someone to help me on the playstore fixing coz I don't have my handset at the moment.
Downloaded and flashed the ROM on qmobile (Pakistani clone). Its an amazing piece of work. Found the following bugs so far.

Google play store not installing anything. Even tried the cracked play store as well. Skype is also not making any voice calls. Haven't tried video calls though. Plz fix these bugs. I love this ROM plz fix it

i am newbie learning porting Rom ...
i have ported an JoyOS ( I Phone ) Rom from mini and i am facing 2 errors..
1-> SystemUI stopped working
2->when i try to open dialer, contacts or keyboard it shows -- android.process.acore has unfortunately stopped ...
i have tried clearing cache and data in contact storage and facing same problem..
Plz help how to fix that error ?
