I'm not sure where else to post this since I am to new and not allowed to post on the thread regarding the USB Password Recovery Tool so I apologize if I'm in the wrong place.
I've been trying for hours to get the tool to work on my Sprint Galaxy S4 mini SPH-L520. Sounds simple enough but I'm not doing something right. Issues are I don't know how to go into Mass Storage as its not an option and I am unable to find the exe files I am to run from SD card...I really want to try it out but am struggling. Thank you on advance

Hey guys. First of all, sorry I couldn't post this in Devs, still new so I'm not able to.
My question is this: I was having a ton of trouble making a gold card while the sd card was in my phone (could never for the life of me get that 'really long number', so now I'm trying it on my pc. I know the commands for getting the number through my phone, but what are the commands to do it through my computer? Basically what I'm asking is with the whole 'adb shell cat /sys..." will that remain the same or will it be different to get that number?
I'm not TOO new to rooting/flashing as I've done it many times on my Captivate, but then again, rooting/flashing with the Captivate was pretty noob-friendly. Thanks in advance guys!
EDIT: Just to let you guys know about the problems I was having when I was trying to do it through my phone (maybe somebody can point something out that I missed?): I have SDK installed. Formatted SD card (fat32). Turned USB debugging on, plugged in phone, downloaded and extracted hack kit (not sure if location matters but it was something like C:/Inspire Root/...), shift+right clicked on the win folder to open command prompt, and then typed in the commands per the README and kept getting error: device not found. I've searched for this error, but to be honest, everyone who had the same problem didn't get an answer back that really helped. I know for a fact that I'm missing something, just don't know what it is. At first I was ok not being able to make a goldcard, but I read that a goldcard will still be needed to take advantage of the easier way of rooting that's in the works. Any help would greatly be appreciated

and i just wanna know, if i do that, can i just go to a rom manager and and enable infused 4g, or do i have to do something with infused as well?
And just regarding my drivers, if i plug my device in,enable mass storage and it comes up with the autoplay screen on my windows 7, does that mean i can make that folder in step one of that guide?and is it the screen that you can see when you go to file manager?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but Odin needs the Samsung USB drivers in order to work. The fact that the phone mounts as a USB drive is not enough.
Step two of that guide says to install Kies. That's the way I got the USB drivers and it is probably one of the easier ways. Then, when you plug your phone in to the computer, it'll register a few new devices in device manager.
My best advice is to follow that guide EXACTLY. Don't take shortcuts because the author put those instructions there for a reason.

everything is pretty much self explanatory, install Kies, now connect your phone head over to your phones memory card create the folder and do what it says.

Trying to root my moms new nook (her request) and was rolling along until I hit the nook zergy screen (in red) and it won't read the device to root. I'm basically at step 5/5 just can't see what im missing. I've exhausted Google on this and can't seem to find an answer. I'm noobish to this so from prior experience do I need sdk tools for windows?
Everything is installed (drivers etc) NO SD CARD INSTALLED (make a difference?)

I had the exact same problem. Zergy asked if I saw the nook and I typed "n" and pressed enter and it said something about lieing and I couldnt proceed. Now the computer doesnt recognize the tablet at an android device in device manager. (I unplugged it and tried to do the process over again...)
I am also facing same problem. Tried in Six deferent pc with no luck.
I am using the device out side USA.

I bought the TF103C last weekend and really enjoy it besides a couple issues. I realized today that I was unable to write to my SD card using FX(File Explorer) or Microsoft Excel. I have done some searching on the forum, but I'm not sure the difference between the TF101 and the TF103, so I'm unsure of the correct answers. My questions are:
1. Is the only way to write to the SD card to root my device?
2.When I plug the tablet into my PC, I am able to see my device as "K010". I have files in the Documents folder, but when navigating to "K010\Internal storage\Documents" it says "This folder is empty", why?
3.What is the best way to root this device currently, and how well does lollipop run? I have seen some people saying everything works, while others say practically nothing works. Whats has everyone experienced?

this is the error when i use program livesute with my computer
and this is the roms i before trying it
i install all drivers i found for it but no way the same problem still show
so I cannot Change the computer
and i try this methods
(change usb port , or data cable . remove older drivers and install new one. and i do not use usb hub or extension )
but it's keep fail do you now
any stable Rom can i flash it by phonex card program ?
