A friend of mine at work has a Galaxy S5 and when he goes to turn on his mobile hotspot it says insert sim. Why does that come up? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any ideas how to fix this? I just got what infuses and rooted them both. Mine had no issues, hers rooted fine but now won't connect to 4g.

Did the settings for mobile network get changed somehow? Check under wireless settings and make sure the box for using mobile network is checked. If not you may have to Odin back to stock with modded 3e and root.

att stock firmware has issue to create a new fake new invalid empty apn
I just bought my first infuse yesterday and i really like it only one problem though it wont connect to data with my personal sim but when i put my company sim in it works is there an app or download i can install to override this issue or do i need to get a new sim card? Btw the company sim card that works is an old 64 cingular sim card and the one that doesnt has 3g att on it . Any help is appreciated thankks Sam
That doesn't make sense. Call ATT and tell them your sim doesn't work.

I can't remember, neither of us have infuses anymore. We switched to SGS2's lol.
I think its the one in the MIUI thread.
I may get a GS3 but only if I can do a couple things ...maybe one thing. Can we remove the annoying, persistent WiFi notification in a stock ROM that's rooted and clockworked? Thank you!

There is also a dialer code you can type in that will give you the option to turn it off.
Why would you need to be crazy to get a GS3?
Edit: IIRC it still shows up in the same spot after the code, but it shuts up about saying you should use Wifi and such

I've read of some XML edits that can remove it but it'd need to be stock. I run stock, rooted so it'd need to be removable from the stock ROM. I wouldn't wanna see it in my notification bar or the pull down. And crazy cause I've had about a dozen phones in a year. I have a problem.

The last update took it off for me. Haven't rooted yet and was prompted for the update I took it and after the reboot the WiFi notification was gone.

Just explain to Verizon that you lost it while in Europe. You will get a replacement sim card.

I bought an unlocked At&t D850 and put it on Metropcs network/T-Mobile and when I receive a picture in my messages it ask me to download it so I click download and it says Currently unable to download. Please try again later.
I have tryed changing the APN to what others have said has worked for them with no avail. Hoping someone can help. Thanks!

When I try to turn on my hotspot on my htc first I get a message saying temporary network problem that prevents the enablement of the mobile hotspot. I have an unlocked HTC first which comes programmed to work with at&t but I'm currently not using at&t . Can someone please assist me in resolving this matter?

Reset it.
If it didn't worked then install and custom rom and try.
