Usb otg fix for Micromax Unite 2 - Micromax A106 Unite 2
This is the fix for using otg feature to connect pendrive to micromax unite 2 . As it is not stock supported.
First of all you guys must be rooted
Use usb otg helper app from the play store
Connect usb drive to unite 2
Open usb otg helper app
After giving root permission , click on mount
Now with the help of any file explorer ( i used xplore though) , go to /storage/usbotgdrive/drive/here
You will see your mounted drive

While trying to mount . it says no device mounted ..
ho wdo I fix the problem
It shows the error 9 msg....go to directory mentioned in op to get your drive

that is it gets automatically mounted by android itself..
like the accessories do ??
does android.hardware.usb.host.xml do any good ??

use root explorer and tick R/W

when i connect my pendrive its show preparing external usb storage...cheking for errors...at notification bar..
my phone is rooted and usb otg helper installed...wt should i do...???
Check for the directory mentioned in otg helper.
Browse with any root explorer to /storage/usbotgdrive

Bro I have a Unite 2 (8 GB model) and it is rooted. I installed the usb otg helper and connects the pendrive through otg cable step by step as you mentioned but its not detecting it in root explorer and es file manager both. Its not showing any error 9 msg as u said. Plzzzzz help me.

[Q] canvas 2 USB
I am experiencing this problem where when i try to connect my phone to my laptop a message is displayed saying that USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED. Also i am not getting that option in my phone too asking me in which mode to connect. I am not able to connect my phone as a storage media. I also tried factory reset and reset via stock rom but no avail. I am currently running on stock rom 4.1.1. any help would be appreciated. thank you

Same issue with my Canvas 4 The same issue is with my Canvas 4. I remember last time I connected one external USB to my phone which I was able to browse. I'm not sure if that has made any changes to the config but even if it has, they are not persistent changes, are they? USB debugging not helping.

[Q] why is the data in external hard disk got deleted when Otg is connected?
I am using Micromax canvas hd. I had a Otg cable. I use pendrives and card readers without any problems. I had a 3TB WD EHDD. and I partition it and convert about 100gb to fat 32format. My phone able to read it by Otg cable but most of the data got deleted and I can't understand why. I had loaded about 70GB if data and only 9GB data is there when I connected Otg. Also the files are there as they are but their size becoming 0bytes.i am attaching screen shots. Pls some body help me with this problem. Thank you in advance.
