[Q] [KatKiss] Asus down-right menu - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Just flashed KatKiss and now I can't find the menu that used to be on the down-right side.
I'm new to Asus so I don't even know what its name.
If it was deliberately removed in the rom, is there a way to get it back? Also, where can I find the Stock weather widget?
Thanks.

Google removed the code for the tablet mode. So, its not possible to make data/other stuff appear on the bottom anymore. Also, that modified menu is probably closed source, so basically, a big no. Everything is on the top now. Scroll down up on the left or right upper corners for them to appear. They separated events and quick menu buttons.
As for widget, you can download it here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1956865&d=1368378140

You need to flash a 4.3.x ROM to keep the tablet UI that you are describing, all newer versions have Phablet UI with menus at the top

Hi. New here, have some questions about ThrottleLauncher & Touchflow

Hi all.
Kind of new to this all, and just fumbling my way through everything.
I have ThrottleLauncher loaded on my AT&T Tilt, along with Touchflow3d (and TFlow3D_gullum)
And after seeing the youtube clip on the .9 beta and what it can do, I am finding that I cannot get my phone to really respond in all the ways that I'm seeing in the video. Maybe Im missing some plugins or something else, but here are some questions:
First is the main toolbar at the bottom. Whenever I touch it and want to slide it around to get to specific icons, it doesnt really rotate, it just kind of slides a bit and then activates something. I'm not able to scroll around on it unless I use the directional pad on the phone. Also, is it possible to 'replace' programs that launch with the icons? For example, instead of the Phone's contacts launching, can I get it to launch my 'Good' software contact list? Or with the music player, I am using FlipSlide. Can the music icon be reset to launch Flipside instead of the windows media player?
Can those icons on the bottom be put in any specific order?
I also see in the .9 beta video, that you can flip the middle of the screen by the clock to see different clock views or appointments, etc... Not sure which version or theme that is.
I guess my biggest question is how do I get the bottom toolbar to actually scroll instead of activating things, and can that bottom bar be customized to point to other apps?
Thanks.
If I'm posting this in the wrong spot, please let me know.

Which Theme . . . ?

I was using a theme on CM 5.0.4.1 and it allowed me to place shortcuts on the home screen in the lower left and lower right of the screen.
The shortcuts would appear in the location where the dots for navigating instead of swiping appear normally.
I wish I could add more detail, but that's all I remember. This feature was very convenient for me.
TIA for any help provided.
apologies if this is in the wrong forum

This what you looking for?
Also...
nexTheme has Dialer and Browser at the bottom.
Ideally I'd like to be able to choose what fills the 2 slots, but I'm good with the updated launcher of nexTheme
McFroger3 - Not exactly, but that would definitely work.
JJackson9995 - I think that's the one. And I think I was able to long press on the dialer and launcher and replace them, or maybe I just filled the spots they were occupying on the bottom row with other shortcuts that I needed.
Either way, both of you have provided assistance that is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Sounds more like a home replacement? Home++ or something maybe? Don't think it was a launcher mod as I've yet to see one where you can customize the buttons down there without modifying code.

[REQUEST] Modded Rosie/Desire Launcher?

I quite like Sense UI in general and the extra options that come with Rosie/the Desire ROM, but the ^ Phone + tab at the bottom is bothering me. It's huge. It's fat. It uses up a lot of space.
Is it possible to mod it so it's thinner, or change the + sign to a browser shortcut instead, or anything at all? Or has it already been done and I'm dumb/blind (did a search, found nada)?
Agreed. I'd love to have the bar at the bottom have Handcent / Phone / Browser ... And then the capacitive menu button if I need to access programs.... On-screen menu buttons just seem pointless. I'd much rather have constantly used programs in that bar. Sorta like a Dock.
A dock, similar to that of a MAC, would be my ideal bottom "bar"

List of open apps as icons in bottom bar

Hello my fellow tf700 users,
I find it really annoying to have to open the recent apps list to see what i have open. I have gestures set up that allow me to swipe from the bezels to switch bw apps, however, I am curious if anyone knows of a tweak/app that would simply list open apps as icons in the bottom bar to the left of the clock. kind of like the taskbar in windows (never thought id say that), yet I dont want them to be interactive or anything (simply grey icons like the storage/KB dock icons). I find opening the recent apps list to check what is open incedibly redundant as I already have gestures that allow me to quickly swipe to switch apps. This may seem trivial, however, this is my primary device, and workflow is very important to me for school. I am simply trying to limit the number of gestures I have to initiate to get **** done.
Best,
Lucius
To me, it sounds like you want the VivoTab -- indeed, Windows-based.
Sent from a comfortable chair from the outer ring of Purgatory. The red guy asked me to say 'hi'.
Hmm I took don't really see the need. Google put the recent apps there for a reason. It's a single click away and includes swipe to close. How does moving it to the notification bar make it any simpler?
BTW prepare yourself as the 4.2.x update will really annoy you as notifications are now in a split bar up the top wasting screen space.

I dont use the recent apps list to switch apps, i use 1 gesture to do so. the recent apps list forces me to tap it, find the app, then tap the app. doing more than 1 gesture breaks my train of thought when im switching between a pdf im reading and evernote where im taking notes. with my gesture i swipe from the bezel and it switches instantaneously fwd/bckwd between apps. I would like to be able to see what i have open so i dont need to open the recent apps list, as sometimes i forget. It doesnt seem like a big deal but workflow is huge for me.
Ive seen 4.2 and it looks terrible, we are deffinitely on the same page. please avoid includig it in later versions of CROMI unless necessary lol.
That's exactly why I use a floating notepad - take notes without having to switch apps, and paste then into another app when I'm done...

[Q] Launcer Question with Main Keys to Left on Tablet

Can anyone tell me what launcher or how to have the main keys (back, home, widgets) placed to the left on the bottom of tablet (old style) being in the middle they are impossible to reach.
I have read hundreds of discussions to find an answer but no one seems to show how to do or where to find.
It looks like AOKP has it also the new ASUS 4.2.1 but they do not have the file posted yet for the ROM.
Running 4.2.2 at this time. NOVA also does not appear to have that function. Maybe I am not searching for the right terms?
Any help appreciated,
