Hello everybody, before i get to my point let me introduce myself.. i am a college student studying in Australia and i am of indian origin although have never stayed there due to parents being moved around in mnc from wen i am small. I just bought my s2 today and i am having some big software issues. The set i bought is from china as i am here on holiday.
Phone Details:
PDA:I9100XWKE7
PHONE: I9100XXKE4
CSC:I9100XEUKD1
I did a factory reset right after buying as i was hoping to rid of these chinese apps but that was no good.. Then i tried to download some android apps from android market but phone saying not recognized. i deleted and syncd my google account 3 times but to no use. PS. i cannot find a default android market app icon on my phone as well..
Can anyone please shed some light about my specific phone and what i must do to get it working to its full potential.. simple google, weather apps is not all i am hoping for.. I love being part of online communities for all my electronics such as my ps3, blackberry and alienware but i am very very new to android and smartphones but i am willing to learn as much as i can. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much folks!

I bought a chinese mobile and did not arrive on the model chosen, but another.
I would like to find out the model to see if you can update the firmware.
I can explain what I have to look in the phone to understand the pattern and eventually find an update to remove the menus in Chinese?

There is a mark/info on the cover, on the battery, ...?

With hardware specification you give, i think it's maybe the GooApple G22 (but with clone it's a bit dfficult because many model exist...), and as is an androphone, you can normally install clockwork mod recovery and flash it to android 3.2 (as i've read for the G22 model).
But before doing anything, be sure what hardware you have exactly otherwise you may brick you phone !!

Sorry but there is too much models with this specifications ... a lot use the ARMv6 ... and there is no relevant infos on your pics ... nothing found about freesoft21.
When you buy it, wich name have the phone ?? (they have always a name).
Unfortunately, where I had ordered a phone model has seen fit to send me another model and then disappeared.
I find it unusable as a phone
What can I do? you have other suggestions?

Can you check this video and follow it, let me know if you arrive to activate english.
If your menu is not the same, try to do that :
Type this : *#0044# then press SEND button
This must Set Language to English

but I wanted to do is to upgrade to version 2.3 of Android perhaps with a clean version without Chinese writing.
but what are the constraints to update with an updated version of Android?

me 2, at least i got the code to set phone to English language
still not able to understand what kind of phone is.
could be a G22 but I'm not sure
I would try to do a backup and try updating.
give me some instructions on what to do?
I know it would be alot of work and research, but you could go to YouTube and watch all the different videos on all the iphone clones and try to see which one your phone looks and operates like. Could be a shot in the dark or it could tell you what you have. Best of luck.
my cousin bought a couple of cheap tablets for the kids but theres no google market place on them so they cant download apps, is there anyway i could change the software or add market place on them? thanks for any advice
well it depends if they have android then something is posible if they had their own china software or something like that then no luck bro!

I bought my phone in China, it's a HTC 301e.
As you probably know, a lot of stuffs are blocked on the internet here (google play store, you tube...).
So, I would like to know if I can modify my phone in order to access theses apps?
This model is a "special" version for the Chinese market (am I right?), so, if I want to modify it, can I do it the same way as for another phone like the htc explorer?
I am a beginner, so sorry if the questions sounds stupid to you... but I am willing to learn!

The question is really simply, i have this really old tablet (you will say why you do not buy a new one? answer is simple i have to give this to a child, so this will be a battle tablet lol)
So i was wondering there is any android version that already have games for kids up to 5years old ? in case can you suggest me the name ?
In case there is no one like this, let me ask based on the current tablet "spec" wich version is the best ? Finger crossed for find something that work with play store, cause the current version do not allow me to use it anymore.
