Hi All,
Essentially, I had bought the Moto X T-Mobile & Unlocked sim-cards as a gift for my wife. Unfortunately, I found that the Moto X T-mobile comes with only 4 languages installed. So, Arabic is not one of them for system display language. My wife doesn't speak English and she only speaks Arabic. I would really appreciate if you can help us to add more languages to the phone without rooting the phone?
The UK Android version has Arabic, How can we get UK version install to the phone.
Thanks
Hi there!
I'm afraid the only way to add languages to the system would be by unlocking bootloader (which voids your warranty) then rooting and installing a custom ROM that has support for Arabic....if any do.
You can browse the dev section found in the moto x section, here...

See if any ROMs in the dev section list Arabic as a language. Or you can post your question in the Q&A section.
But unless you root.....there's no way to do it. And the custom ROM would need to support the language as well.
Good luck! ?
You should have no issue flashing the UK firmware....so long as the firmware is for the same model.... As in xt10xx model number.
If you do encounter issues....you can always flash the same firmware you are on now again. So be sure what you have now.
Here is a thread to help with that...

Also note: very important.....if you ate on 4.4.2 or 4.4.3, DO NOT downgrade lower than 4.4.2....you could brick your device. Just keep that in mind now and in the future.

I got myself an HTC Desire, and I'm loving the phone. I have a few issues and questions, though.
1) My language selection is for Croatia (English) and a few other Eastern European countries. Is there a way that I can flash the phone to have a world wide English edition on the phone?
2) If I root it, or do anything else to it, what are the chances of me bricking my phone?
3) I have the issue where the phone randomly restarts. Should I wait for the official Froyo update, or should I use the one which is available by hackers?
I had a parallel imported desire that the only english was English (Thai). most of the roms you find online (ie:rooting the device) have American English and UK English available.
low chance of bricking as long as you have a rom that is for your device and not another device.
you might as well try rooting the phone re: restarts. if it doesnt fix it and you want to restore it back to stock when froyo comes out you can
Hi everybody,
New to Xoom (but not to Android), so may be a n00b question
I bought a WiFi Xoom in US last week and it updated automaticaly via OTA to 3.1.
Problem, there is no support for French (France), only for French (Canadian) wich is slightly different (i.e keyboard is QWERTY and I would like AZERTY).
Is there a way to push "French" language support in my Xoom ? (Like CSC on Galaxy S). If not can I flash EURO Motorola Roms to my US Xoom ?
It's not rooted, not unlocked (not yet, still reading forum to see if it's safe )...
Thanks
Search for language pack, it's posted in apps section.
For information, I finally decided to flash stock Motorola Europe rom (after being stuck on Motorola logo when trying to root it).
So now I have a European 3.0.1 Xoom with all languages support instead of a US 3.1 (not really happy with that…).
If you want to get back to US 3.1 and install the language pack, follow this guide.

Remember, DO NOT RELOCK!
Thanks burden010 !
Hum... noob question, I've already relock it (with stock rom, I follow motorola dev instructions), was it a bad idea ?!?!
No it's OK, the "don't relock instruction" is to prevent a possible half-brick. If you're going to follow that guide, do not relock or it COULD cause problems, doesn't mean it will.
Dear All,
Greetings
I believe this phone is not that populare where I can't find custom roms or RUU for it.
I am looking for original or custom rom that support reading/writing arabic letters.
I carry the European version of this phone and it is already unlocked and rooted.
Appreciate your help
My GF also has a Rhyme, i have to carrier unlock it somehow, but i guess its not possible yet i Bought unlock code for it from 3 sites, all were the same, and it didnt work. Probably the original carrier relocked it (tmobile croatia).

Sorry, I put a bad link above. This one works.
Hi all, I am needing a little help here, I was given a Motorola XT910 (RAZR) handset and unfortunately its a Spanish model and I found out that there was no updates beyond 4.0.4. The system version is 672.180.41.XT910.YOIGO.en.ES I am therefore trying to find a good custom rom to be able to flash on this model of phone. Could someone point out a good rom to flash with and instructions on how to do this as my phone flash knowledge is a little outdated. Thank you.

Hi, I recently updated from Android 11 to 12 and I want to go back (reasons). I have a Moto G31 bought in the Philippines.
My question is mainly about stock roms if I were to flash the firmware:
- Would I be able to get it to be identical to when I bought the phone? i.e all the same few preinstalled Moto apps and it would still go through all the normal Moto updates again?
- Would the warranty (according to the device itself) be intact? also, in other words, would the phone itself know it was different from when I first bought it?
- Would a stock rom from say Brazil be different to the one I should have on my Phillippines model (assuming they both have the exact same version number RRWB31.Q3-46-85)?
Thank you in advance for any replies
You are not the only one wanting to go back. I have found the correct ROM for me (eu) but not the correct instructions. The Lenovo forum has several pages in the thread for Android 12 problems on the G31 and people are pretty upset. There is another thread here too asking for help on rolling back the ROM, and I hope someone here on XDA who is knowledgeable can help.
