Recently installed the s5 mini revolution v 12 rom on my s3. Everything is so smooth with all the basic features of s5 in my s3. But the problem I am facing is the Wi-Fi connectivity. Everytime I restart my phone the there is no Wi-Fi connectivity, then I have to change the properties of the ".cid.info" file and restart again to make the Wi-Fi work. Isn't there a permanent solution?

Hi there!
Is this the exact ROM you are referring to?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-galaxy-s5-mini-fast-stable-t2669724/page184
If so, check this post from that thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53317243&postcount=1832&nocache=1&z=2636079108342528
Anyway, it seems as if that's a common issue with the ROM. I suggest if the post above doesn't help, or you have questions about it....that you go to the devices forum section, found in link below, and browse around and contribute some meaningful posts to get your post count to 10, then you'll be able to post on the ROM thread in the development section. (My first link). They know the ROM best and perhaps can help you.

Also, you can always just try another ROM.
Good luck! ?

Hi everyone.
I apologise if this has been covered elsewere but i cant seem to find the correct way for me to fix my problem.
I have a galaxy s4 gt-i9505, and have just flashed to jamjams 4.3 ge rom, so far i love it, however i cant get the mobile data to work, and for some reason i cant comment on his post about the problem.
I have followed all the tips by flashing the modem file and downloading the phoneinfo app and changing the radio settings etc but still cant get any connection,..
can anyone help?
Hello MattMcGoogan,
Have you tried to reconfigure the APN? I faced this problem with my Xperia P when I flashed a custom ROM.
Also I recommend you to read this thread: Postcount limit in developmental fora (This is why you can't post on his post)
And this one too, it's so well explained and it's recommended to read it when you're new

Hi,
Sorry for create new topic but i can't post in Slimkat thread in development forum (this is my first post).
On Slimkat rom and Miui rom i can't manual search network. It always return error/failed. Automatic finding network works normaly.
On other roms it works good.
Now i use slimkat rom and it looks very good but without manual finding network is usless for me.
Maybe anyone have similar problem and find the solution or maybe developer of this rom can fix it?
Please help
Thanks
I had recently flashed the latest cm 11 snapshot M9 on my galaxy note 2 (n7100) everything's good but i get slow 3G connection speed. I had chosen prefferd network to 3G but it doesn't help. And sometimes it comes only (h) and sometimes (h+). When it comes only (h) its slow at that time. So somebody can tell me how to put that permenantly to (h+). I had no problem using my 3G in stock ROM but in this ROM its very difficult. Plz help me.
Regards,
Shivank

You have been repeatedly pointed to the right place to post your question. XDA Assist is not your Second level help desk.
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.
Our XDA Assist team will give you links to threads/forums that are relevant to your problem. You may be pointed towards guides and instructions that can be quite complex, so you will still need to read carefully and be cautious before attempting to make software changes to your device. It is essential you are in the correct forum for your device model; what works for one can ruin another.

I'm Using CyanogenMod 11 Snapshot, i got it from the Official Website, and i heard by others samsung owners that they flashed their kernels or modem with a different one and it fixed this issue, but i'm not an expert in this stuff and i don't want to brick my phone:/
Hi,
There's a section for your device and it's the best place to find help.
> Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 > Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

You can flash ArchiDroid. It's based on CM11, but has more built-in features (quite frankly, the best ROM for i9300 IMHO). It'll ask you which kernel you want to flash while you're installing it. Boeffla works best with me. Give it a try:

The installation process is simple so you won't screw anything up.

I switched back from ArchiDroid to CM. Archi implemented a lot. He really did and it used to be the best ROM for the i9300 for a very long time. On the way to the most recent version, he messed up. Went from quality to quantity. His debian chroot implementation is more of a security risk than anything else. Bluetooth audio is messed up as well. oh, and ofc being a CM branch, it inherits all the i9300 CM bugs. I could go on.
Worst of all, he's being a complete arse about... everything! Blames Samsung for bad SoC (I agree there, but good ol' Sammy isn't responsible for bad code). When it's not Samsung, it's either Linaro or straight WONTFIX. But not without him and his selfdeclared advocates badmouthing.
Back on topic:
I'd advise you to stay with CM (M11 got released today), possibly flashing the Boeffla Kernel (XDA Thread, Homepage). After you installed CM, boot into recovery and flash the kernel zip.PhilZ Touch Recovery is superb for the job.
If the error persists, check the logcat (There's an app for that ). If that doesn't help, post the WiFi related logcat entries here.
Please, do not flash random modem files. It's not a "learn as you go"-experience. Incompatible modem? Consider your phone bricked.

Q&A for [ROM] S 5 Sport [CM11]
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM] S 5 Sport [CM11]. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Any update on this? Would love to start using custom ROMs on my g860, and a custom kernel would go a long way to making that a reality. If you need someone to test, I have my phone rooted with both Odin and a custom recovery. Also, I can provide logs if anything goes wrong.
I need someone to test. @1991mustang50 has been great and I just got on here to pm him and saw your post. Would you care to test?
Any update on this. Im tired of being on 4.4.2.

Everything seems to be working great, with the exception of my clock will randomly change time during the day. Any ideas what would cause this?
Yeah mine did that too I just turned off auto time set and adjusted time zone. I have no Idea why it do that
Got it. I'll do that.
Rooting 4.4.4
I use Odin 3.07 and CF-Auto Root.. works like a charm. I have to do this frequently because i constantly flash during my attempts to find a domestic sim unlock method for the Sprint Galaxy S5 (SM-G900P),
CM12 for Sm-g860p
when might we be able to get the update from cm11 to cm12?
Havent heard anything on cm12 for sport yet
Im kinda curious about what will be different from CM11 other than running Android 5

That like asking whats the difference between 4.4.4 and 5.0. I own a nexus 7 and i like the stock 5.0 more than 4.4.4
I mean like what's the main difference between CM11 and CM12 other than the difference in Android version

They might change wallpapers, boot image and maybe settings layout, and add all the Goody's that they always do
