Help, I tried to mod SystemUI.apk but the status bar is gone . Can somebody provide me with the original SystemUI.apk, i know how install i just need the apk.

did you change permission to R-RW, R, R? if yes you could restart your phone to see the status bar again
make sure system UI is compatible with your phone, some system UI does not work on xperia J based on my experience.

now i've tried the new SLIM CM7...well ...this is the only one rom that not eat my battery....!!!
for me..the best CM7 based rom.
i have just a question.
i have changed some png in the status bar and i've tried to put the clock in the center of the screen.
all ok with the change of png...but when i decompile the sistemui.apk for edit the status_bar.xml and recompile it ... i put the systemui.apk in the phone with right permission..i reboot the phone but the status bar disappear.
i've tried to decompile and recompile apk without modyfy nothig but is the same.
for decompiling and compiling i've used Apk_Manager_5.0.2 or apk tools..but is the same.
i've already used apk manager for modify other systemui.apk with success...but only with the systemui.apk of SLIM CM7 i have problem
where is my error ?

It´s not rom bug...Period!!! When u install "Super User Mode" or other "Framework mod" u are replacing most important system files: services.jar and framework-res.apk... So CnT´s SystemUI.apk will fc for sure, once it inherits some methods and values stored within those files!!!!!!!
Thanks for help friends I think my problem solved. I just replace my original android.policy.jar file with transparent nav bar mod. Jar file and its works for me I don't know how its work but I revert my transparent nav bar mod and install CNT systemui.apk and setting.apk file.

No, the systemUI.apk is the file what is for the status bar NOT the .odex file. You need to correct your permissions and then reboot.

Hmmmm, install your stock one again and I'll see if I can mod an Xperia E status bar for our devices.
Hi, I'm using HiSense EG680 bundled with Smartfren (local Indonesian CDMA operator) and I'm using a custom Rom created by a local dev
I need a help about the system UI apk and everything that is related with the status bar and the dialer app.
The dev has set a centered clock on the status bar and a mobile network speed indicator also on the status bar, that cannot be modified by gravitybox
The problem is I don't really like the centered clock and the speed indicator, and on the dialer app the dev has set an image that not everyone would like it as a dialer background. I want the clock to be moved back to the left side and the indicator removed, and the dialer background like the default. but I don't know how to done it as I'm not so familiar with the compile and decompile thing
I need someone to help me with the problem, By editing the apk and send it back to me. you can see The screenshot of The problem in the attachment, I will send the files that needed to you

It'll be better if you contacted the developer of that systemui apk to help you as he'll be able to help you better than anyone else. Also if u don't like the status bar or dialer u can change it by installing another one which u like.

Sorry bro, I have no knowledge of how to edit the systemui apk, however I can provide u with a method to install another status bar without a recovery incase u find another status bar or the stock one.

You'll need the SystemUI.apk of the status bar u want to install. Do u have it ?

Okay so I assume that u have the required apks. Just go to the thread linked in my signature and follow the lucky patcher method (point 1) to install ur status bar. As for the dialer, it can also be installed using the same method, just skip the uninstalling part (begin from step 6)

Hey I think I found the solution to your problem but you'll need to tell me if you made a backup before flashing the new rom ? And no, I'm not going to tell you to restore your previous rom. But before typing any further I'd like to know the answer to this.

Yup I had them backed up via MTK Droid Tool since I'm using MTK based device

I don't know how mtk backups are like, but I guess there must be a system.yaffs2.img file in the backup. Download smanager here and use it to open that file. Now go to system/app and copy the SystemUI apk and install it using that Lucky Patcher method. Hope this works.
Or i would just like to say, download custom status bar. There are many themers out there. Just google custom status bar for your device. I did the same.

If you are on stock rom then better flash this rom from the link..
Its much better than stock one and is also deodexed..

I am using stock systemui with my modifications(like z2 style battery icon with percentage as well as normal one,quick settings,stamina mode etc)...
And about those themes....they are also ported by me....I just put them in System/app and reboot...after reboot they automatically show in skin-picker app...
Btw I sent you a message some days before mentioning my problem but you didn't gave me reply..

Oh nice.. Coz I ported the skin-core app from Z3..It showed me preinstalled themes but downloaded themes were not visible in that.. Guess I'll have to make changes in framework also.. I think you also use hkthememanager to apply themes right? And btw I didn't receive your msg.. Lots of people PM me so it might have been lost in there somewhere.. Can you resend your message?
