You can use CF-Auto-Root and just flash on SuperSU with Odin: http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
I also suggest flashing on a recovery so that you can always backup if anything goes wrong.

First of all i want to say HI!
I am plannning to flash Xtrestolite rom for my Samsung Galaxy S5 G900f Kitkat version [rooted already]. It says "Make sure you're on an recent Lollipop Bootloader/Firmware".
Q: can i flash lollipop bootloader on my SGs5 KITKAT version?
It also says "Make sure you have an custom recovery installed (I advise you to use the custom TWRP version by @ktoonsez)"
I can't find this custom twrp by ktoonsez on google search.
This is my first time to flash a custom rom. Please help me. . Thank you so much
Hi, you can look this page:
androidrootz.com/2014/04/how-to-root-galaxy-s5-recovery-root.html
To install a costum ROM you have to obtain root and costum recovery on your phone.
I had Galaxy S2 and the procedure was similiar... you have to download Odin (Samsung program to flash firmware and other system file), PhilZ recovery (a costum recovery) and SuperSU (root app).
thanks for your help

Hello there
Does anyone know how to backup stock recovery without rooting on the XT1032?
Hello
If you have Root you can use Flashify from the PlayStore

I don't have root. But if I root then I'll have custom recovery and there will be no point then

First of all clear the misconception, if you root your phone it does not mean you should have a custom recovery and vice versa
Now if you want to backup your stock recovery either root your phone and use flashify
Or
Downlaod the stock firmware package of your device and it has raw fromat of recovery image
Or
Go to this thread by @lost101

Hello there,
I've been trying to root my Galaxy S6 SM-G920F with no luck, I end up with a bootloop / bricked phone everytime.
I tried "twrp-2.8.7.2-zeroflte.img" and "twrp-2.8.7.1-zeroflte.img" and "CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.tar" with Odin3_v3.10.6
I'm on v 5.1.1
Baseband G920FXXU3COI9
Kernel 3.10.61-5917605
Build # LM47X.G920FXXU3COJ1
What is the best / latest root method for G920F?
Thanks :good:
try unikernel with twrp, it worked for me
