N8013 won't respond to touch - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

While back I wiped my device in clock work recovery and accidentally rebooted device after a full wipe (oops) afterwards it didn't respond to touch, but will respond to the s pen. At the time there was no easy fix for it, or really any fix at all, so I unrooted it and have been using the s pen. Im just trying to see if there have been any kind of changes in this issue. Looked around forums and saw nothing on the matter.

I need help with repairing sys. app?

I was in titanium backup and i accidently bumped a button and it deleted something. My phone is a samsung dart t499.when i reboot the phone it shows samsung logo then tmobile logo then tmobile animation then its supposed show samsung logo again but it dont. Its just a black screen for a minute or two then it starts up. And also my in call volume is real low on the ear piece. When i open titanium backup it shows a file called com.sec.android.app.accountsandsync that wont backup and its always at the bottom of the list with a yellow triange and says underneath it "Not backed up yet". I did a factory reset and that didnt help. does anyone know how to fix this? Please help.

this is going to be a tough one.... it seems there isnt a whole lot of support for this phone yet. I would head over to one of the active Dart threads and post your question with them...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1187618
your end goal here is to get a copy of the app you deleted and install it back on your phone since there arent any custom roms yet
Thank you guy for trying to help. Tmobile exchanged it for another phone. Again thank you.

Could have been an app you installed preventing it from booting properly, try to make a nandroid of your current rom then restore back to your original rom and let us know if it boots. If it does, it's most likely something on your rom. If it still doesn't boot that's more of a hardware issue.
Did you properly wipe, did you install a rom, you have to tell more information then just saying it wont boot could be anything why it wont boot answer what you did before you got to the point you are in now and then we can help.

You might want to tell people what the issue was and how you fixed it. Simply saying, "it's fixed," doesn't help people.

[Q] Galaxy Tab 8.9 Touch Screen not responding

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and hope I'm posting in the right place.
I recently got a new GT 8.9 P7300. I updated the firmware with update-cm-9.0.0-RC0-p5-KANG-signed-20120227.zip that I found on this site.
I have to admit, I did not follow the steps as I should have, so not sure if that may have caused this problem.
Anyway, after the update, my tablet just hanged when it starts up where it says "Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9".
Eventually got it working again by loading stock rom. So it starts up and continues to where I can select my language, but the touch screen doesn't respond at all.
I tried different roms after that, all with the same result.
Currently I'm running Galaxian-Soup[GT-7310/7300][beta 1.5.1]
Any idea what I can do?
Can it be that I screwed up the touch screen drivers? If so, any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
I really do like the work you guys have been doing, the Galaxian-Soup[GT-7310/7300][beta 1.5.1] rom looks amazing on a friends Tab!
I've done the same, flashed cm9 and nos my touch screen is unresponsive. Totally unusable. Any solution would be highly appreciated. I've reverted to a nandroid backup of stock HC, but the problem remains.
One more unresponsive screen over here and that right after flashing CWM.
Same problem here, checked out a place on google maps, put tab down, 2min later turned it back on and the touchscreen didn't work. Running stock Telstra AU rom, not rooted. Used a USB OTG adapter to unlock it, backup my files and restore to factory defaults, and the problem still persists. Tab is 3 weeks old taking it back tomorrow. Would like to know if this is a common or known problem.
Mine is unresponsive as well! I've only had it for 2 months. I have CM9 on it now but I am flashing stock as soon as it finishes download.
Hi.
Was just wondering if anyone got their screens working again. I have the same problem.

[Q] Problem with accelerometer!!

I have a rooted Nexus S i9023 running CM9 RC1 with Air Kernel... I usually have auto rotate turned off because I don't like it! But then a few days back my device used to auto rotate automatically with the rotate being turned off.. It solved itself after a few days so I didn't bother. But it's just stuck in landscape mode and will not switch no matter what I do! It happened while I was using KangyU also and it happened with it also 3 times. Everytime I need to perform a factory reset and flash a new ROM and then it solves :/ I used androsensor and it does show a value for Accelerometer but my phone simply does not rotate! Is there a problem with my accelerometer? Do i need to give it to the service center or can I do something that will solve it? Any help appreciated
If doing a factory reset/ reflash fixes it. Then it is not a hardware issue.
Not factory reset persay. I need to flash a new ROM for it to go normal

This is probably a problem with your Kernel or ROM, please flash a stock ROM to ensure that the accelerometer is fine. If you are afraid you might lose anything make a backup or so.
Okay yeah AiRKernel might be the problem. Thanks I'll try it and let you know. Thanks!

I went stock.. But AndroSensor is still showing the same reading it was showing on CM9.. And the auto-rotation bug only comes after a few weeks into any ROM.. Also everytime that occurs I get a prompt saying
" Complete action using
Clock
Tune In Radio "
Everytime I get that pop-up I'm stuck on landscape for infinity. So can it be an app problem? It's happened so far on 3 ROM's I've used (KangyU, CM9, Paranoiandroid)
so I doubt whether it is a ROM issue. Maybe a Kernel issue because I've used AirKernel on all 3 of them
Could be either I suppose. Not sure how either could cause it though
The sensor read out should be the same no matter what rom is on there. That is normal. The app itself tells you what the read outs from each sensor should be as well
My point. But what I mean is, If readings are the same then the behaviour should be same as well right? Where is the accelerometer exactly located?

It happened on Stock also :/ stock ics stock kernel. Same popup :/
Accelerometer issue?

If a new rom and kernel didn't fix it then it might be hardware.
Strangest thing happened. I uninstalled Tune In Radio and voila auto rotate back! So the app was the issue! But any idea what might have possessed that app to do so? :/

[Q] Getting a bootloop, but I've never rooted or anything like that.

My sidekick has been recently just replaying the start-up screen. Once in a while it'll fully boot but then it just shuts off after a few seconds. I haven't messed around with it at all so I can't think of what may be causing this. If anyone could help that would be amazing. Thanks a lot!
Could be many things, if you debugging enabled try to get a logcat. Or if you don't mind loosing your data use hiemdall or Odin to flash back to stock fully
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Do I not need to be rooted for odin?
Nope, just put phone in download mode. If unfamiliar on how to use this I suggest hiemdall, Adam Outler made a one click hiemdall package which you can find in the first page or so of developer section, very very easy to use

The stock phone has issues id suggest you root an flash a nexus rom should fix a lot of issues
If you need text or anything "backup your mobile" or something like that works amazing

Some users also have had issues with the display ribbon cable coming loose at the hinge. You may also want to check out your battery..
Did you install any new software? There are apps out there that will cause boot loops on Froyo/Gingerbread.
Good luck. I miss the keyboard on my Sidekick, but I don't miss that crummy Samsung abomination that powers it.
