what firmware are you on now ?

I think may be he's on older firmware or its showing the album update

its still downloading now. i will give updates later

pc companion dosen't give update for applications only system update bro but i think he's on an older firmware

i'm on the latest firmware (16.0.B.2.6) and I did get the album update before this.

i'm from Malaysia

I checked it too.. Phone is upto date.. I think update releases to all countries at the same time via pc companion

no,sony release the updates to each region in a different times.anyways we are waiting to see what's new !

Guy who installed the software update is it's still 4.2.2 and 16.0.B.2.6

[REQ] 15.3.A.1.17 India FTF

Could someone be kind enough to upload an FTF of the Indian version of the .17 firmware?
I sesarched the forum but couldn't find the Indian version. Sorry if it already exists..

Use the .14 firmware which can be found here
.16 & .17 is only available for some carriers (It doesn't fix things or add new features, only bloatware)

Not really.. The. 17 is availablle in pc companion for me.. But my bootloader is unlocked.. So cant update
The . 17 firmware is said to fix freeze after call and proximity sensor issues..
So im still looking for the ftf

Wow.. That's just amazing. three f***kin' firmware updates, all with the same bug??
I'm NOT buying a SONY device again. But some guy on Facebook said that the proximity sensor bug had been fixed..

I am also able to see firmware update 15.3.A.1.17..btw I am from India.. unable to update as my bootloader is unlocked.

Relock your bootloader and update it Simple :fingers-crossed: you can unlock your bootloader after the update

Haha it ain't that simple yaar.
After unlocking you'll get bootloop and then you'll need to flash ftf

15.3.A.1.17 ftf Link
I have downloaded the rom yesterday and created the ftf. Please find the link below for the ftf.

Yes it's easy, but after relocking, updating and unlocking, what firmware would you flash after bootloop? 1.14? then there's no point in doing it..

You can create your own .ftf of 1.17 from the downloaded update Whats the point in flashing 1.14 again? Anyway chuck You may not know all that but search the forum on how to create an .ftf from the downloaded upgrade It's very simple and helps you a lot at times

Debranding & Rooting D2303 4.4.4

Hi everyone got a week ago and M2 D2303 Orange branded unfornately, and i want to know how to debrand it . How i sayd before i'm running 4.4.4 KK 18.3.1.C.0.21 Orange branded and i want to debrand it but i don't know exactly how if anyone can help me any response is welcome , thanks in addvance , best regards

Anyone? I really love this phone but all the orange stuffs are really pissing me off i dissabled them but i want to make some space getting rid of them ...

Try downgrading the firmware bro then unlock the bootloader , root it with flashtool & upgrade via ota update

I downloaded ftf with XperiFirm and it didn't have T-mobile stuff (it's my provider) try it maybe you get lucky.

Thanks for the tip , downloaded "D2303_18.0.C.1.13_CE" 4.3 Stock from a website flashed throught Flashtool then rooted with TowelRoot is nice because is generic not branded but the big problem came after 4.4.2 update because it was not OTA i updated via PC then the root seems to be not present i also checked " Survival mode " on SuperSU Pro but it seems to work only on OTA updates , can anyone recomend me a Generic firmware wich allows OTA up to 4.4.4 Please? Thanks in Addvance

Flash stock 4.3, root it with TowelRoot but don't update supersu, wait ota from 4.4 when finished use easy root to gain access to system then update SuperSu.
If it doesn't work I'll send you the link that i used when i get home.

Yes what you said before it has logic but the problems are the next .. TowelRoot don't install a SuperSU or Superuser App, and the next problem is that the firmware i talked about the ota are up to 4.4.2 not 4.4.4 , that's the reason i asked for a ota up to 4.4.4 firmware bro ... you want to say if i wait for ota 4.4.4 will come ? when i wanted to update from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 was telling me to connect to pc and update trought it ...

That's why you don't update subinary

Well thanks for the links i hope i will give the problems outside i come back for feedback anyway
EDIT: I dunno , check the steps i done bellow!
1. Flashed Stock 4.3 with the link given by Dzepar from here
2. Rooted with TowelRoot
3. Updated to 4.4.2
4. Installed ADB Drivers from here
5. Rooted with EasyRootTool 1.12.4 download it from here
6. After Process was done rebooted and checked with RootChecker from Google Play
7. Updated to 4.4.4
8. Rooted (Again just to be sure ) with EasyRootTool
9. Installed the Latest SuperSU from PlayStore & Updated the Binary
IF IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU SEE THE NEXT POST #11 !

I don't know unless you try it , i suggest you to change you firmware btw to install a "fresh one" , then when you are on 4.3 root with towelroot without making any changes, then update to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 via ota , when you reached you wanted firmware version then install supersu & root checker (but don't update supersu binary) from google play just to be sure , when you finished with downloading the tools open easyroot & root it and let the magic happen , after that update the supersu binary check it with rootchecker reboot & have fun best wishes.

hmm after the 4.3 then i use towelroot from the flashtool then when i click make it rain my device just turns black and then goes to my look screen. is that rooted now??? i updated it to 4.4.2 now and used easyroot and it is stuck on

Follow steps in post no #9, find towel root via Google root 4.3 with tr.apk not with Flashtool but don't update anything except Ota. When done use Easyroot to gain access to system update SuperSu.

Which Easyroot are you using? In post no #8 is the one that worked for me.

i used the #8 easyroot. is it cuz am running windows 8.1 or somer?

I'm on Windows 8.1 and it works. Did you check deverper option in your phone and unknown source? And did you install drivers? Usually when yoy install PC Companion it installs drivers.

fixed it i think it happen cuz i restarted my phone while the playstore was updating. i fixed it by factory reseting the phone from the settings. the root dident go away, btw do you know how to unlock bootloader when go to that service menu it says unlock allowance : no or somer like that. does that mean it is impossible to do it without paying?

i did the root like a video on youtube ( how to root your xperia z3) from this channel : wwjoshdew and after 1 and a half month the google play store stop being functional so i send it in to be fixed but they just send it back to me because they saw that it was rooted. so when i got it back i wiped it by mistake and now i have no operative system so i must install it all over but i don't know how

Flash a ftf file from the mega collection thread in the general section.
Use flashtool from flashtool.net to do it

You cant update your rom with ota on custom rom!

a rooted stock rom can recieve ota's. and sometimes can soft brick if they start....

really every rooted stock rom I ever had would not receive updates. It would say your phone has been modified and can not receive updates.

No .... rooted Samsungs never recive OTA. If im correct only the one plus 3 recive OTA if rooted.
