This is a development thread for Karbonn A11.
Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
MT6575 processor ARMv7
1GHz 512MB RAM

Note: This ROM is ported from Haipei i9220 for Prestigio 4040 DUO but it works for Karbonn A11 as it is a clone of it.
The ROM's language is Russian but I changed it to English on my phone and changed the font to Tahoma

1. Install CWM.
2. Wipe Data and Cache.
3. Flash the zip file from Internal or External SD Card.
4. Reboot.
CWM Recovery : http://db.tt/akykV4rR Tested and Working
Note: It's not the official CWM recovery but it's of Prestigio PAP 4040.(Karbonn A11 is the clone of it)
You can flash it via Flash Tool or using Mobileuncle Tools.
Download Mobileuncle Tools from the Attached Files.
Play Store link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobileuncle.toolbox
Steps:
1. Your phone must be rooted or it won't work.
2. Put the recovery.img in Phone storage or SD card.
3. Now open Mobileuncle Tools and click Recovery Update and chose the recovery.img.
4. Rest is all on your screen..Done!

Glad that someone stepped up to help! Thanks Vishal There's some problem with Dropbox and BSNL thats why I'm not able to upload.. I just got ur Dump ROM link via ur posts but the Dropbox is giving Error 509. Dropbox sucks Upload it on Mediafire if u can..I hope we can help other A11 users! I've found some Custom ROMS on Chinese and Russian sites, I'll update them soon with the links. Thanks again

any further development for A11??? CUSTOM ROM or CWM RECOVERY???????

introducing myself in a11 family..
is a11 capable of doing these??
1. inc. ram by swap partition?
2. running script manager(scripts) with superuser permissions?
3. clockworkmod recovery? etc
met with failure in all the above mentioned process..
any way to do these? atleast 1st?

Now nomore lags in ma fone.

can we get the approx date of the release of rom???
i tried to install font from rom toolbox and now i am stuck at the booting screen. i have also tried to do a reset but didnt work:crying:. i found out that doing a hard reset and installing the official rom helped the other people so i need it to flash my 'HALF DEAD' phone

u sud do a hard reset.. switch off ur mobile first then press power, menu(three lines), and volume down simultaneously hope this helps you.

i did all but power+menu+volume down takes to factory mod(power+volume down):silly:
there are 7 options:1-PCBA Test, 2-Full Test, 3-KB Test, 4-Item Test, 5-Device Calibration, 6-Test Report and 7-Reboot
now i m trying to install fonts through adb but giving error: failed to copy: permission denied or the device rejected or even device not detected even when attached to computer

i pulled the fonts folder then examined and removed the corrupted ones
but now i cant push the Roboto-Regular.ttf and its giving the error {sh: cannot create /system/fonts/: Is a directory}
and roboto regular is the main font. i tried to copy it but it says there is no Roboto-Regular.ttf to replace with
if anyone knows how to write a file then tell me

i used adb shell's mv option and renamed the hebrew font to roboto and it started:victory::laugh:. it also started when i removed the other installed fonts but made the mistake of deleting the original too:crying:.
now its started but theres still a problem.........it restarts when screen is locked an hangs at startup again until i do a factory reset again.
i think it needs the other fonts i deleted.

3)On "Mounts and Storage" ..Select "Format /system"
4)Wipe data.....

8)Wait for sometime for booting up completely
10)Now you should see a Screen asking Language,select English..

Chill guys, why don't you shake your hands and work together to create more awesome roms, that'll really help us Karbonn A21 users. Everybody knows how pathetic the stock rom is.
I might be the first person to use both of these roms and all I can say is that both the roms are pretty good. Please if possible you can do some modding to make the gameloft games like asphalt 7 and all to work on our device.

Bro, Wipe /system too! That's why you're getting low storage Try flashing again by doing this and let me know.
PS : MIUIV4 Delayed because I'm not getting enough time to upload, In this Summer Vacations it'll be uploaded .

frankly i m not devloper , i followed porting tutorials and i tried to port many roms from xperia tipo , micromax canvas ,a nd samsung galaxy s duas but all stucks on bootanimation :'( and i don't understand what can be wrong when i followed as in following tutorials http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008

1) Download Rom.zip File & View attachment UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.04_3.zip
2) Put into External/Internal SD Card
3) Go To CMW Recovery
4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset And Wipe Partition
5) From Advance Menu Do Dalvik Catch Clear
6) Go in Mount And Storage select FORMAT SYSTEM
7) Select Intall From SD and Select File And Click YES
8) Select Rom.zip And Select YES
9) After successful flashing go once again to CWM and Flash SuperSU Update.Zip

In regard to the above post, what is the difference with your's and the one by mufti.arfan, He works on LEWA OS too..
the most recent being Kernel : Android 4.1 / 3.7.26
Language : Chinese and English
Also we see a lot of Chinese font/chars in the OS(in Phone, messaging, Data usage, lockscreen). Are those now resolved?

It haven't copy i have ported for Indian micromax a110 users not for chines, also u mentioned Chinese forum and author unknown.If u ported that rom then mention ur name there ,I should add ur credits

1.internal storage is not showing by any file manager
2.wifi some times doesnt turn after wiping dalvik-cache its working

What about sim 2? Where is sim management? Really a superb ROM but these issues are disturbing
Calendar is not synch my memo and notes which I have and most important for me. Kindly fix those issues with a patch

This ROM was already found in a Chinese forum same as that no change. su is in Chinese second sim will not be indicated and also there will be no sim management option....this is just a find not a ROM developed by the op since no customization and scripts available...wait for a stable version by our fav dev ankur the creator of raven..

u need to flash supersu from thread that i mention(follow screen shot),dual sim signal not be shown in status bar but u can use both of them .When i tested this rom i didn't find any bug that u mentioned ,let me check it again

this really depends on what kind of rom we are going to get here... with the customizability options of CM11.. i would prefer that ... but then.. a bugless rom.. would also be in preference... you really have to choose between stability and customisability ... with this rom you'll be relying on xposed to customise ... and on cm11 you will have to deal with the bugs... choose according to your own needs

the main camera stopped . also it says unfortunately the gallery is stopped . i have flashed the stability patch also . please help

Thanks for uploading the real KITKAT AOSP...
My problem is ...
after the installation phone is stopped to booting....
actually in other message someone says that don't panic reboot will be long time...
and iam waiting for almost 1 hour and its not recover from booting....
please solve this problem as soon as possible...

If we use Camera drivers on by this rom to Cm11 So, I think video recording bug will be fixed.
